To answer your question, I checked the first 3 pages of threads here and saw no such thread. I'm not sure what "boat load of post count threads" you're referring to.
I've answered your other question many times and it's getting quite annoying.
I've been posting in the MV forum quite a bit for quite a while. Me posting this thread now has to do with me being bored over the summer and the thought somehow making its way to my prefrontal cortex.
Since I've answered all your questions, it's your turn.
Why are you trying to make me look so bad by attacking everything I'm doing? For someone who doesn't care about posts counting, why do you care so much? Even if I did care tremendously about posts and having the highest post count was my one true goal in life, why should you be concerned about this?
For someone who is supposedly "Earning his 2nd Nicest Member award..." you sure don't act like it.
heres an answer. everyone has to have something that they are proud of. some people cure diseases. some people star in number 1 altime greatest movies. other people breed tropical canaries. i for one collect spam mail. ive got over 25000 so far. he simply likes to collect online numbers. if your going to bash him, why not bash the people that are trying to cure cancer. we all have an equal shot at greatness.
Love how SK dropped the "Stop trolling me" card as his loophole of not fully answering my question.
way to dodge the claim.
OK this is semi legit except you have to ask yourself. Why Care NOW? Posts havent counted in there for years. Cause he now frequents that forum and posts alot more into it? Now he questions it? The forum was fine for the past few years with post counts not counting.
two observations here:
1- regardless of SK's answer, the first thing i had thought of here was, "well, maybe he just looked into these things now, because he doesn't sit in front of a terminal all day looking at MTGS's rules." you know... cause not everyone has that luxury, while you seem to think we all know everything about the site because we come here to while away some time and post here and there.
2- i am beginning to wonder if your constant appearance in threads of this nature - almost always with the same lousy attitude certainly NOT befitting a "nicest member" on MTGS - has more to do with your own concern that your OWN post count may "mean less" if other people get more posts counted. i mean, why make THIS much of a stink over this? did you even read AoK's response above? i thought this was a dead issue after that, yet you still beat that horse. why, saph, why?

why does any question as to why posts don't count in forum X always solicit this answer? i happen to agree with SK here (i lurk there from time to time), especially with the recent push to get people to not be lazy and look up stuff on whatever site themselves.
This was not the answer. This was really the explained sigh about how the thread could have gone without being created. The real reason is that it CAN be very spammy in a way that no other forum can be really, as some threads can be answered with less than 10 letters/symbols, which doesn't amount, to me, as giving you any more experience on the forum.

i disagree. spam is about lack of content, not lack of quantity of letters. and, now that that forum has been moderated (to death) in order to reduce the number of truly spammy posts, it is, at the very least, a situation that can be revisited.
when situations change, rules can - and should - be revisited.

And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
I find it ironic that this is right next to the "post counts should be removed and don't matter" thread
It's not ironic so much as intentional. I was reading this thread, saw it going off topic, and decided there might as well being an on-topic thread about post counts in general.
I feel like only one side was really represented, with every single poster having a billion posts. I really hoped to hear from some people with 100 posts, but those people might stay out of SYM. Although I have to admit everyone made valid points.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."
What makes you say "moderated to death", god of cyanide?
well, i put it parenthetically because i know some people felt that the new moderation scheme was overkill. i'm sort of in the middle myself - i understand why they went to this strict "use ebay/MOTL; only ask for foreign/special cards" policy, but it seemed rather heavy-handed, at least in its initial incarnation.
for the record, overall, i'm not concerned at all about post counts in general (or the modding in MV as it is now), but, if we have them, we should expect them to be fair. since they have altered the way MV is run, the post count issue could stand revisiting - not as a priority, obv., but someone noticed, and IMHO his claim seems legitimate.
i mean, i don't think that 20 people will answer every market thread with a (slightly) different valuation just to +1 themselves. in any case, i think that WOULD be spammy anyway, and still get infracted... right?
