Stop giving the staff such a hard time. Even if at times misguided, they love and work hard for this site for nothing more than agita and a seldom thanks.
I find Kijin's quote from the link equal parts ironic and true.
I don't know what this situation with deleting posts and rampaging through some clan's membership is all about. But it seems uncharacteristic that Rian would do something like that in bad faith.

The issue is....an administrator shouldn't be doing anything of the sort during a discussion in any thread that may possibly degrade his intentions. They were posts that he made during the the kijin issue and he wasn't happy with the manner in with he portrayed himself in his sentences so he deleted the incriminating posts to keep his appearance clean.

He didn't he simply wanted kpaca (for personal conflicts) and some inactive members to be taken off of the roster of The Called.
After kpaca was voted out by the majority of the clan, the rest of the members that sided with kpaca left as well, not by Rian's request. So Kijin, you are wrong here.
Edit: N_S, I also don't see how any of this has anything to do with The Gutter. Instead of compromising with the staff or finding solutions like Azrael did, you are simply posting spiteful comments to the members of the staff. I had a lot of respect for you and Madding before this, but now I'm not so sure.
I find Kijin's quote from the link equal parts ironic and true.
I'm giving the staff a hard time here for upholding a policy they are in quiet above upholding of themselves. You, too, can attest the existence of threads of the exact same character and caliber running strong in the Mod Lounge, behind presumably closed doors, where users (with bold name tags) can snicker behind the backs of other users, safe from any real repercussion or accountability.
If that's the direction the staff wants to take this site in, they should start with their own homes. Or, alternately, stay out of mine.
I don't know what this situation with deleting posts and rampaging through some clan's membership is all about. But it seems uncharacteristic that Rian would do something like that in bad faith.
Would you also say it's uncharacteristic of Rianalnn to condone cyberbullying? Because that's part of the discussion that was had.

So you consider railroading someone out of a clan and creating an environment that does not maintain long-standing clan memberships because of a personal conflict between two people as not rampaging. Some quality character you have stored up in there, luck.

I have to stop you there LN....there were 3 votes yes for booting kpaca. The clan had 9 or 10 member at the time. Maybe 4 votes yes...I don't completely recall.
That said...it's just proof that the Gutter isn't the only "bad" place on MTGS. And the fact that it is being singled out by administrators that had bad experiences within the walls of the Gutter in years past because they didn't follow the rules as asked by the moderators in there and were subsequently booted unceremoniously, is the issue at hand.

Rianalnn forcibly ejected kpaca, jonny, Clock King, and TFO. Its all in the Called thread (unless these posts magically disappear).
Not true.
TFO was inactive in the Clan, and jonny and Clock King left on their own accord.
So you consider railroading someone out of a clan and creating an environment that does not maintain long-standing clan memberships because of a personal conflict between two people as not rampaging. Some quality character you have stored up in there, luck.
Please do not insult my character. Let's keep this civil.
This wasn't just a conflict between two people. Rian is one of the oldest Called members, and kpaca had problems with him. Rian decided that kpaca was an unhealthy asset to the Clan and had a vote to have him removed. Not railroading, but a democracy. Before the vote even ended, kpaca decided to leave by his own choice.

You're right, sorry.
But kpaca left before the vote was finished. Also as I have seen both the Mod Cave and The Gutter. I can honestly say that the Gutter has more hurtful material in it than has ever been posted in the Mod Cave. When I first made a post in the Gutter I was called something along the lines of a furfag by a member that has posted in this thread defending the Gutter.
Why? This is a joke thread, I'm just joking around.
I don't know if your trolling me, or being honest. That's a problem.

Do you not know what a conflict between two people is?
ED: Pulling other people into a conflict between you and another person is not considered railroading? What reality is this?

Either way he's right. This thread and motion are a complete joke. It's all a bunch of unilateral, hypocritical nonsense. If anything, my respect for Madding has increased from his posts ITT.
I like what azrael is doing trying to reach a compromise, but he's working against a completely lousy administration that is just going to continue to make unilateral/bad decisions that need to be appealed by rational people later.

If you can't immediately identify the satirical nature of most of what happens in the gutter then you probably don't lead a very good life in the first place. The insults slung around in the mod cave are, from what I understand, actual behind back malicious attacks that would undoubtedly offend were they be made public.
Do you not know what a conflict between two people is?
ED: Pulling other people into a conflict between you and another person is not considered railroading? What reality is this?
Again, I said that Rian decided that kpaca was an unhealthy asset to the Clan, and people agreed with him.
3-4 vs 10. The minority has it. DEMOCRACY WINS AGAIN, SUCKERS!
Why do I have to keep repeating myself? I said before the vote ended kpaca left by his own choice. Is it Rian's fault that he left? He initiated the vote but kpaca could have stayed if a majority was not met.
Well, I guess that settles it, someone called you a name in the Gutter, therefore the staff is indemnified from the same quality and class of behavior. Sorry to have wasted everyone's time.

You have to APPLY to be a member of the Gutter. You have to write an actual piece of paper saying "I want to be a member of the Gutter" and submit a picture of yourself to get in. If you are asking for it, how is it cyberbullying?
How is the fact that HowlingMad was called a ****ing moron in there cyberbullying when the guy never even heard of the Gutter? (and how is this different from what goes on about ScanciusX45 in Mod Chat for that matter?) But now you are opening the Gutter so the guy can search for his name in there, and get actually butt-mad about it as opposed to being unsuspecting? That is just asinine.

But basically your argument is that they shouldn't have dressed that way. Logic must be your strong suit.
Again, I said that Rian decided that kpaca was an unhealthy asset to the Clan, and people agreed with him.
It sounds like rianalnn brought a conflict between two people and made it so the conflict now included everyone in his clan. Which is what railroading someone is.
Why do I have to keep repeating myself? I said before the vote ended kpaca left by his own choice. Is it Rian's fault that he left? He initiated the vote but kpaca could have stayed if a majority was not met.
"Keep" repeating yourself implies you've said this more than once; you said exactly once before that kpaca left of his own accord, without even mentioning it before that.
If anything, considering the conflict was between two people and was only made moreso after rianalnn brought it to the rest of the clan (ie: railroaded him), it would seem like rianalnn is the bigger detriment to the clan. I'm sorry that this has to be explained to you, but I can understand that as a clan member your perspective may be skewed (this isn't a troll; the way you're raising this counter-issue glaringly shows a lack of perspective, particularly between the defensive tone about repeating yourself when you had not to that point).
The moderators haven't posted anything from the same quality or class of behavior as what I referred to for as long as I've been on the staff.
The User 'X' Is A ****ing Idiot Thread
I repeat: someone called you, from the implication of the post you made earlier, to your face, a furfag. Therefore, it is okay that the staff supports doing this among themselves behind the backs of users of this forum without any level of accountability for their actions while similarly holding a group of users in a similarly closed group accountable for those same-song actions. This, we are to believe, is acceptable behavior from people meant to be bastions of character that we should be following the examples of, and is in no way hypocritical, and it is my mistake for raising such an issue when clearly the two are completely different from one another.
Most of the gutterite posts here put me in mind of a dog that's been kicked one too many times. And feral dogs get put down, regardless of whether they deserved it.
You'd have been better off taking the high road. I'm not persuaded that anyone's going off the deep end - deleting posts as an abuse of power? Voting someone out of a clan? Come on. If you keep walking down this road, you're done for. It wouldn't surprise me after all you've been through that sucking it up for another run down the gauntlet feels hopeless, but you managed to survive far more hostile administrations than this one in the past by biting your tongues and standing for actual principles.

I may have Rian on my friends list, and I have talked to him personally a few times.
