My main concern actually is if this site's tags or domain is gonna change in any way? Curse.com sites are blocked by my workplace web proxy, however MTGS is not, because it doesn't have any meta tags that would flag it for blocking.
So please don't change anything about the tags if possible ^^;, I certainly can't be the only one with this predicament.
Since it was ignored by admins so far and next page'd, I quoted myself to find an answer.
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
I highly doubt the domain will change as when MMO-Champion was acquired by Curse, it's domain had not changed, either. The domains for Diablo Fans, Darth Hater, Arena Junkies among several others that I frequent which ar epart of the Curse network, did not change or do not even suggest any affiliation with Curse through their web URL. Based on that, I think it's safe to say nothing will be changing. I realize I'm not an admin these days, but you can certainly take my word for it.
Please do keep in mind that we just came off a week long holiday. In addition, the guy you are waiting for moved continents in the last 2 weeks. It's on the list of things to do but that list is pretty damn big right now.

It's hard to keep things in mind when we didn't know them in the first place Thanks for the quick update, though!
Moving forward, perhaps announcing substantial events that will affect ability to maintain communication would be an appropriate use of thread for maintaining communication.
I still don't like it. Something feels wrong and off to me. Call it a gut feeling and I don't know why. In fact, in leiu of my ADHD, Gutter issues, hating other people, etc... something feels wrong and it's bugging me.
Now, what is trivial to most, is not to me, but I feel something isn't right in this. While I may be just the wheel that squeaks a lot (which is more often the case), I hope to come to a peaceful resolve (or do I? I don't know, I could be looking for a fight at this time and this is a way to do it, but then again, I don't lie about how I feel about things.)
Mind you, with the things that have happened here, it should be understandable. In fact, it should be blatent, as to why I not only dropped my guild (which sucked hard core), but now this? It's like a stab wound that won't heal.
I can't help but feel that we got shafted and I wish I could have talked to others in regards (hindsight and all) about integrating my guild into the forum. Guess that will never happen now as people move on and it's just "One of those things".
Either way, I don't like something about this, it could be just my jaded history with the forum (which, before anyone says anything, is QUITE possible, I have no ruled it out in the slightest), or it could be that, as the 'standard user', changes are being made and feeling left out.
I'd love to try to talk you out of your fears, PsiJet, but I don't even know anything about your concerns other than that you have a sneaky feeling about something. Could you be a little less vague? What are you concerned about? What is happening that you dislike?
You know that we are waiting on Boubouille for that Tom. It's on the gigantic list of things we sent to him that he will, I am sure, wade through over the next month.
Mobile browsing on the site has gone to the crapheap. Your certificates are no longer 3rd party verified, your video ads pop up at random, quick reply is gone.
I had to poke around to figure out why and then it all made sense! The owner of MTGS sold out to a big fish, and now we get all this content rammed down our throats. How very capitalist of you all. Leave it to money to ruin a good thing.
Don't fix what isn't broken, and if the site was "broken" in the sense that it created a deficit, many of us would have helped the owner monetize the site further, instead of selling it to friggin curse.
Curse, big smiling faces and kind words, with hands behind backs gripping cash. This whole thing stinks. We are now in the hands of a machine, ladies and gentlemen.

Thing is, the site wasn't broken in a monetary sense. The site was broken in a technical sense. We rarely saw Hannes, so when he had malware issues, we had no idea when it would be fixed. We now have 3(?) techs at beck and call. You may not see anything but the Curse ads being added, but there have been fixes that are less visible.

Limited access to component staff is a monetary issue. If you needed devs to volunteer this should have been a global notification before looking to curse. This could have been handled in house. Now we have overseers who don't even play or care about the game. I feel like the only thing a company such as Curse cares about is generating subs and favorable metrics while keeping the community content enough to swallow it willingly.

Right. And before we had none. And now they are fast to respond and seem to really know their ****. Let's give it 48 hours from now before we bad mouth them for not doing their job.

Had I been in Hannes' position, I would have sold the site too. (I probably would have avoided to be in that position in the first place, but as we say around here [in Spanish] that's flour from another sack)

Curse has been one hell of a lot more easy to work with from what I've seen than Hannes ever was.
Apathy is much less of a concern now. Hannes was extremely hands-off in his approach to the site and could be pretty difficult to reach. Site management was very, very low on his chain of priorities, and that meant that very little could be done - especially since he was not willing to allow anyone else the level of access necessary to keep the site in good repair.
They're a for-profit corporation, sure, but they're a lot less apathetic than Hannes, by a long-shot, and they seem to have a good conception of how to do customer service. If I had to hazard a guess at this early juncture, I'd say the site is in better hands with them, than it was being neglected by Hannes for so many years.
I'm sure he had his reasons, probably good ones, but I think it's pretty clear that the site suffered as a result of being so low on his priority chain.

I just want to clarify that I wasn't intending to badmouth curse specifically, the technical issues were just what led me to discover the acquisition. It could be any major for profit machine and I would still feel the same.(unless it was a magic specific company, in which case I would only feel slightly less aggressive)
Learning that the owner wouldn't allow in house help does change my perspective a bit. It still sucks that we have to swallow the machine and its ads for subs, and videos just to participate in our community.
Yeah, the ads were here for 7 years and got turned off a little while ago. They turned them back on this week and added the ads at the bottoms of the page. But, videos? I have no idea what you are talking about. Screen shot?
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?

I can't take a SS, as I generally browse with a mobile device and this is where i have experienced video ads in the last two days.
No, Curse didn't own it at the time. And no, there's no great conspiracy regarding myself and Curse

I raised this issue myself on page one -- the response was essentially they'll get to that later.
This confusion is exactly why I raised the issue. Techs should be masked as techs, not admins.

Oooooor, we were just made aware of some of these problems recently. I am pasting your post into the thread where I dump stuff for the techs.

Positioning of the ads on top isn't sexy, either.
