I don't know what has happened with the site in the last few days but every time I have been on here my antivirus blocks about 30 instances of something from *.lijit.com. It doesn't happen to me on any other site right now. I googled what lijit was and it is I guess a browser takeover software. Is this being introduced through adds on the site or something? Whatever it is please fix it.

Everything I'm reading shows that the Lijit hijack only enters the system by a user installed program. It can do this by tricking the user, but it can't be installed by a drive by attack. Just visiting a page can't install the program. You're only at risk if you installed something that had it.
Lijit is an analytic and ad network. I don't know much about them specifically, but looking at security teams: AVG, Google, Norton, etc, all report their site as safe. This hijack has only really reared it's head in the past week. So either this is the moment that Lijit turned bad, or someone else has pushed the hijack to show their own ads (or others people pay them to show), and are just using Lijit to deliver them.
Again, though, this is only spreading through user-installed programs.
So, either you're pc/phone is already infected, or your antivirus is being heavy handed and blocking everything from Lijit to be safe.
The latter seems highly likely.
I would recommend checking to make sure you're not infected, just to be sure. This guide seems the most intuitive.

Legit is an ad network.
They appear clean.
This isn't something we have.
All previous versions of this hijack were part of a use install.
