Could we have a more stretched layout on PC, there is two big blue strips left and right of the forum that has no purpose.
I liked how the forum used to take all the page and not half of it.
I miss the dark skin so much, and scrolling through spoilers on mobile is now very difficult. They used to be neatly displayed on the front page.
Otherwise, I have yet to explore new features.
Download and install flux if you have trouble with white pages. It lets you turn down the color temperature of your display, and it does so automatically at dusk and changes it back at dawn. You can disable it for color sensitive work. It removes some of the blue from everything, making whites only a bit whiter than an incandescent bulb at night.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
I'm experiencing a mobile bug on the front page. Using Chrome on a Nexus 6 phone (stock Android 7.0 aka Nougat).
The bug is that I can't scroll through the most recent Amonkhet spoilers. I only see the two most recent cards if I hold my phone vertically – three cards if I switch to landscape. There are no arrow buttons to move on to previous spoilers, and horizontal swiping doesn't do anything.
Is anyone else experiencing this? How is it supposed to work?
The home page is a tragedy now. The spoilers should be on top, why am I seeing three big tiles with articles and then a giant animated tile that is the same as one of those 3 before I get to the spoiler bar?

Second this motion.
Also why do we need to see the Featured Articles on every. single. page, taking up a good 30% of the screen.
I'm cool with the rest of the design, just please get rid of those huge headers.
EDIT: Found an option in AdBlock to remove the entire header. Yay!
Feedback on the desktop user experience:
- Seconded on the above comment re: the header. It shouldn't take up the top half of the page every time.
- The borders on the sides seem excessive, particularly on a monitor with something like 1680x1050 resolution. It feels like the site was optimized for mobile by limiting the width of the content area and padding the sides with the border (tested - yes, if I stretch my browser over two monitors then the border just gets bigger.) This feels like wasted space.
- My biggest issue is the color contrast. I personally like the light color scheme but put together with the border width situation and the very dark border color, on either the top or bottom end of the content area in particular it kind of looks like the content area was pasted into a site it wasn't meant for.
Mobile looks better, except that I find the bolded "new thread" text harder to read than the old version used to be.
Mobile user echoing others - The left and right borders are way too wide. It makes the posts look narrow and cramped. Otherwise like the design pretty well.
Hey, there. I just wanted to pop in and mention some of my grievances with the new layout.
I don't know if my complaint is legitimate or if I'm just being resistant to change, but I'm not a big fan of this overhaul. I think this is mostly because it feels harder for me to read. I use MTGS solely on PC, and for whatever reason the new layout really strains my eyes. I can't say exactly why that is; I just know it doesn't feel good. I think it's likely from a combination of the smaller (different?) font and an overall increase in brightness/contrast. I was NOT using the dark skin before; I was using the default, light skin, and MTGS never made my eyes feel strained like it does now.
I also want to mention that I liked how MTGS used to color in quotes in posts. I felt like that made posts with quotes in them a lot easier to read. Now quotes seem to be the same color as posts making posts even harder to read on top of everything else. The one exception to this is in signatures. For some reason, quotes in signatures seem to be colored in blue which makes them read just fine.
Anyway, hope that helps.

After removing the .below-header-inner with element hider I now like the change a lot. That component (the very large featured thread images) was just way too big, causing the need to scroll past it every time the page changes. Without it everything is much more streamlined and I can actually navigate the site without scrolling until I land on the page I want. My feedback would honestly be to remove those images entirely (they seem more appropriate for a front page, not at the top of every page), or at the very least shrink them significantly.
Thanks for the tip. That add-on is pretty great, and cutting out that element entirely really helps.
Noooooo my dark skin!! My eyeeeeees! Maybe in the future if you guys find an easier way to implement a separate skin, I would love to see the return of the dark.
Also the front page is kind of weird. You guys should bring back up the most recent topics and trades back up to the top so people can see what is popular at the moment, as well as moving spoilers up. The current front page setup is a little odd.
Seeing no better thread, I'll hop in here and offer some preemptive thoughts on the upcoming deck builder.
Most importantly, the deck builder should incorporate new cards as soon as they're added to the spoilers here. Waiting until the next day or longer on other sites is intolerable. I want to brew when I'm excited by the new card - not next week.
I hope it offers an efficient workflow for adding cards by name. Unless MTGS card search jumps to the efficiency of something like Scryfall or even Gatherer, I'll be searching for cards elsewhere. I want a deck builder that can take my selections and tally up the curve, color, and type distributions. It doesn't need robust search. Having dialogue boxes anywhere in the process is devastating. In other words, emulate Deckstats more than TappedOut.
If the analysis can be performed in real time, excellent. If it refreshes the page at any point, the current page layout's massive header needs to be severely trimmed, at least on the deck builder's page.
Can we see the new trades/sales on the front page again?

Site takes even longer to load now than it did a week ago. My PC can run Mass Effect Andromeda on max settings, but this site takes over a minute to load a simple text page. Sorry, but the new design is a complete failure. It takes longer to load, it looks worse, search still isn't fixed, and no other skin options. What was the point even doing this if nothing is going to improve and multiple things are being removed or crippled?
So it's been more than a month and the redesign is still an utter failure. The homepage is awfully distributed, where you still need to scroll down twice to get to the spoilers, and the forums waste a third of the screen and they take twice as long as they should to load.
Just terrible all around, to be honest. I wish there was a way to return to the previous design.
Any news about dark skin? Maybe someone can make a poll with suggested features/fixes the community wants so that mods can prioritize better. Maybe things like: Dark skin, mobile layout, front page reorganizing, etc...

I would like to second the request for a Dark Skin.
Also, is there any plan to restructure the page so I don't have to have the page at full screen all the time? It is really annoying to have to keep scrolling left and right to see users who post, to get to the "preview" and "post reply" buttons, to get to the shortcut link for the latest post in a thread, and when it auto scrolls while typing so I can't see my entire response. See my attachment for an example.
