Yeah, Scott Kirschner was one of the great artists of Magic's past. I like the textured look of his work. Some of my favorites include Barbed Sliver, Deadly Insect (AI version), Lava Storm, and that freaky mosquito thing on Lurking Evil.
I like Hoover and Tucker as well. Today's Magic art is good (especially Kamigawa), but I kinda miss the variety we had in the "olden days."
Finally! Someone else likes Scott!! His art was always way off track! That's what made it so nice to look at. Everything was so crisp and neat! I agree with everyone else....the art used to not have to have meaning like it does now and thus was far more influential!
I will always love the art on Smokestack and the original Grave Pact!

Anyone else like Scott? He did Political Trickery, Parasitic Bond, Goblin Recruiter, Forbid, few others.
