I generally love anything made by John Avon (I just love that guy's works), so I basically get a new favorite everytime a new set comes out. Right now I really like the art for Waterveil Cavern.
I'm not sure which one, but either Gutwrencher Oni or the Unglued Isalnd. Yes I know I have very strange taste in art, my teacher at school said that too when he saw my school account had Gutwrencher Oni as the wallpaper...

I cannot tell you a certain card, but my most favourite artists are by far John Avon and Mark Tedin Sometimes I like to look at Rebecca Guay's cards.
On the other hand, I did not like Ron Spencer, Richard Kane Ferguson and Drew Tucker....and sometimes the Foglios.
I like Mirrodin block pics for the setting. M/V/W block and Kamigawa are the other ones. I do not like Onslaught block on the other hand (with a few exceptions).

I agree That Avon rocks. My favorite art is the one island that is 8th that looks like a samll one with a point coming out towards you. It is hard to describe but I love it!

:alien1: I must agree, Gutwrencher is a pretty bad ass picture. I recently had that as my background as well.
I currently have the 9ED Spirit Link art by Kev Walker. I don't know if I have a favorite artist, but I really like a lot of Walker's works. I mean, how could one not like pics like Butcher Orgg or Mindslicer?

This one? Avon is probably the best at doing lands. He puts a lot of detail into them. He has some really good nonland art, like Chlorophant, but his best work is his beautiful landscapes.

I love Gutwrencher Oni as well

My favorite artists are Rk Post and Brom. I love their styles, and Desolation Angel was the first card I pulled out of a pack.
I don't like any particular artist although I do find an occasional piece here or there that I like. One of my favorites that comes to mind is the 7th/8th edition wall of air

You're obviously an ignorant conservative. I blame your hill-billy Mom and Dad.
I'm not sure if I can really name a favorite piece of Magic art, but I've always liked the work of Anson Maddocks and Mark Tedin (especially the art of a certain Mono Artifact he did).

I think my three faves are Kev Walker, Brom, and Rebecca Guay, with my faves from each being Argothian Wurm, Riever Demon, and Commander Eesha. Recently, though, i think the artwork in MTG has been getting better and better. Case in point? Rob Alexander's Heartbeat of Spring. Anybody got a wallpaper of that?
My top 3
3. Unhinged Swamp (Avon, easy one)
2. Shivan Dragon (Melissa Benson)
1. Juzam Djinn (Mark Tedin)

Gaea's Blessing is an example of this. I can't say I have a favorite artist but I do agree that Avon is an excellent artist.

My favorite non-land art would probably be Wrath of God, it was my desktop wallpaper for awhile.
Another favorite artist would be Martina Pilcerova. Absolutely loved her Mirrodin Plains.
