i cant get any custommagic templates to work on 3.2 namely purple and silver templates. its messed up in the menu , and if i try to open a set i made with 2.5, it says "variable error"
The actual reason for your problem is that when 0.3.1 came out, all custom templates ceased to function. Every one of them requires translating to make them functional.
The day before 0.3.1 was released, I became an actual official, able-to-edit-the-program mse developer. One of the first things I was asked to do was make all the fpm templates run on regular magic instead of having their own game file. I did so. As a result, custommagic won't be receiving support from me anymore. All fpm templates on mse2 are now part of regular magic. Although the plan is to add them back in later, purple and silver no longer exist in the mse templates.
The most recent version of the fpm templates can be found in the same place as before: http://pifro.com/mtg/viewtopic.php?t=12. All features other than purple, silver, and the increased number of hybrids were preserved. A side effect of this translation is that nobody can open custommagic sets anymore. There's a fix for this though, by reverse engineering a way BunnieRein came up with to change magic sets to custommagic.
First, backup the set file you want to transfer, then change the extension of the set file to .zip. Open the zip file, and extract and edit the file "set" inside it in notepad. Change the game and style to:
game: magic style: firepenguinmaster
Then put it back in the zip file, and rename the .zip extension back into .mse-set. The first time you open a set after doing this, you will have errors, because of fields being changed. And you'll need to check every card to make sure its correct and probably will have to fix several. But after you've saved the first time, the error messages on start-up will go away.
These templates are amazing, I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread, my cards are looking more badass then I though possible! Really appreciate it (shame it's probably not legal in FCC, though i plan on asking) Once again, thanks a lot!

IIW:
1. Design a new Ravnica mechanic for one of the old guilds and make a card around it.
2.Design a mono-colored card using two Ravnica mechanics that both come from the color you're using.
3. Blow up a land.
