oh my, this is an old one. i'd say i made this shortly after the set came out..... not my best, but i came across it looking for other stuff, maybe someone will enjoy it... maybe i should make a bigger one.....
Now you've just hit a soft spot for my mirrodin love. Saved.
This request should probably be posted to the "reguest & help" thread rather than here, but never mind ;).
Actually I have a HUUUGE picture of Imperious Perfect (approx. 2300x3300), but that's the problem. Many people around here are asking me to post some of the UltraHighQuality artworks I have, but so far I found no way to upload them here. The system simply says its too big . The only way could be to divide the artwork into about 40 pieces and send them here; or to make an account on some photosharing server and to upload the arts there, but frankly, I'm too lazy to subscribe to any of these websites when I don't actually need it at all. If anyone finds a way to send the arts anywhere without the use of another servers or torrents, I'll post it, but right now I'm afraid I see no way. Sorry...
Maybe just upload it to MediaFire or Rapidshare or something like that and share it as a file instead of an image. *shrug*
a few things I can think of from the initial glance are ::
1) Work on the font. Make it bigger and don't be afraid to keep it on one line. Smooth text looks a lot better than pixelated and hard to read font. It should never be an afterthought, but instead look at it as part of the overall piece.
2) No fault of your own, the resolution looks a little fuzzy on the flamebreak. I am not sure if you upscaled or if it was a bad image to start with. Always work down and not just on this wallpaper, but always. You can get away with upscaling in small amounts with the right technique.
3) The top is too heavy. Naturally the human eye wants to see the heavier parts on the bottom of the image. The text battles the brain and convinces us that it is indeed the right way to look at it, but the background says otherwise. I am talking about the black bars on the top. It should be equal or smaller than the bottom part. This could open up for the placement of the text at the bottom, or even goes back to one line of text at the top. I'm sure your bar is fine, but it is good to have a bigger black space at the bottom because a lot of computers have their menus and applications at the bottom of their desktop. (This isn't to say that your image doesn't work - these are general rules)
4) I actually like the smaller images, but I can't tell if they look pasted on or if they are truely incorporated into the whole thing. I like it tho, and am not complaining about them. They might be a little dark when they are supposed to be in front of the vivid art, but that is just something to think about in the future.
Here's my second try. Thanks for the suggestions spiderboy. A few of those things were sticking out to me as well the more I looked at it. On this wall I was able to find a higher resolution flamebreak to start out with so that should help with the resolution issues. On the point of the side images, I tried to find a few that were lighter in color and meshed better with the background. I'm still not sure if I'm happy with these ones but I think they fit a little better color-wise. I fixed the bars and tried a different font.

Oh neat! Anyway I could request that same wallpaper, but larger size and without all the white designs on it?
Sorry; it didn't occur to me to post it until after I was finished with it, and since I didn't think I would need to do anything else to it, I flattened the file.
Metallicka could you make that wallpaper 1024x768 and upload it cause i think it's beautiful
I think I can resize it to meet your specs, glad you like it
Edit: Version 2: I couldn't figure out how to make this one fit a standard size screen w/o letterboxing but I'll letterbox it on request
Does anyone know where to get hi-res art for Apocalypse Hydra and Final Judgment and Progenitus?
Wizards posted a pretty decent Apocolypse Hydra in either Daily MTG or in the Conflux product page under Explore Conflux> Claws of an ancient evil. I'm not sure of your size requirements but the image is high res.
@ serrot_29- Nice Wallpaper

It almost looks like the white designs are a font, but I can't read it to save my life!

I think it says "Vinyl x2; Moog Acid." Completely irrelevant, but I like to have Magic art and design work wallpapers - this is the best of both.

Thank you, and you probably do, I've been playing with Photoshop for the better part of 10 years.
Thank you, I'm glad to have my first "Hit"
In my opinion the 3 ladies are the best arts of esper. Which ones did you have in mind?
