I made this a long time ago to commemorate Scott M. Fischer's blue-eye-stripe fetish (there's also a time theme: Time Stop and Telling Time). I never really got the hang of photoshop, but it's decent enough, I think.
Am I the only one who still uses the old "4-to-3" monitor?
My mac is widescreen but my stand alone monitor is 4:3. I feel your pain. I really wish they wouldn't butcher the art like they do, but i suppose if they didn't they'd be basically giving out free artwork that was specifically commissioned. Some artists are nice enough to provide their work online in decent res, but none decent enough for wallpapering.
Nice one! Sorry for bothering, man, but would you mind making the wallpaper in the 1600x1200 resolution for me? Sigh, why is everyone making just widescreen wallpapers, are the old 4:3 monitors a history? Thanks anyway :).
Any advice for someone looking to create a mix-wallpaper of a few cards? Is it done via over-lapping layers? As well what programs are the best to use?

That's a big question.
If you're familiar with photoshop then i don't have to explain much. You can download a 30 day trail off the adobe site, or you can try the free alternative: the Gimp. Either way, yeah, each art as different layers with fading on each one is the way to go. how you do this fading varies since there are many techniques for doing so. Best to experiment. The eraser with a soft brush is the simplest thing to do and is valid for both programs. This is not necessarily the best method though. For photoshop, look into masking. I don't know if gimp has such a thing, i'll bet it does though.
Um, could you please reupload?
seems the link went dead or something.
please =)
EDIT: would it be a real bother to upload to mediafire? please =)
it is so much more convenient compared to rapidshare, especially for those without a free account.
Anyone else disappointed with today's wallpaper of the week?
Just an in-game scene from this Duels of the Planeswalkers game? Really, Wizards? Granted, they gave us a nice big image of Naya Battlemage last week in addition to the wallpaper thereof, but really that was Steve Argyle's gift. They can do better.
Man, I really like the Pox picture in the post right before mine. It took me a moment to figure out what it was, but once it really hit me I liked it a lot.
Photoshop can enlarge images without making them blurred? Great, I have to give it a try...
Thanks!
No... I used photoshop to draw more of the picture myself. Using the clone tool and stuff. You can tell if you look close that the sides are messed up.
I've been trying to find large artwork of the new Duress and the new Deathmark for a wallpaper a friend of mine requested but no luck anywhere. Anyone have one?

Hey, I've been looking for a high res image of the Imperious Perfect art. Do you still have this, and can you reupload it?
Thanks a lot.

Desperately need this picture posted by Comic_Book_Guy, I'm a huge fan of the Nemesis book and Ertai's my favorite character in the Magic series!

My first version was this: http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showpost.php?p=2424783&postcount=72
Here's my second version. This time around I added the Nemesis part of the story.
