This is just my first attempt of working with Magic cards to create something Artish(?). Anyways hope you guys like it. The Russian Side goes up to 26 and the English side goes up to 36. Each part has a layer of clear tape over it to sort of protect it and make it stronger.
That's kind cool. Any instructions on how to make one? I'd love to try it with 2 different versions of the same legend(Kamahl, Ertai, Wort, Rhys, Sygg, etc).

Ill try to get Instructions up tomorrow, with pictures.
Just to reduce clutter, I just merged the two threads and deleted the extra post on the old one.
Also, that's a very cool idea, I like it. I think it might actually look better if you had two cards that were basically opposites of each other (at least in color and art).
The example that comes to mind is *** and Damnation, but those are kind of pricy and powerful to cut up like this.

I'm gonna try a 8th Master Decoy and a Rathi Trapper tonight. I'll post the results if I can get my scanner working.
Interesting. I'm not quite sure what I think about that. The two arts definitely contrast each other nicely, but I think the line between the black and white is a little too strong. I know exactly how I would fix the problem, but unfortunately you'd have to make the thing in photoshop and then print it on card stock instead of using actual cards (like the life counters at the beginning of the thread).
Maybe it would work a little better if both cards were black bordered (or both white)? It would have a less eye-popping division between the two and look more like one object instead of two stuck together.
These are awesome! Where do we get the nice, solid spinning part of it? Are they sold in game shops?

i have more than 4x thoughtseizes, amnd its one of my fav cards ever, so not to be rude but what do you care?
I think he's saying it's silly to use the actual card and throw away their monetary value to make a life counter with them; preferably just get a good laser printer (such as one at Kinko's), print onto blank cards (peel foils, whatever works), and then make it. This way, you spend less and don't remove X Thoughtseize from the supply available (since, you know, Lorwyn should be out of print by now).
Just an outside thought, since given the economic state, I don't think throwing away $60 is a good thing. <_<

(it was on the 2nd page of this art thread)
On a side note.....the double version of the card is a pretty cool idea.

I don't care if I was framed for murder if I only got a warning I would let it go.

I may have to try making one...
A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
Either way, they look fantastic. I'd LOVE to try and do one.

Not sure if Kerplunkii's tutorial is somewhere, or if he hasn't made it yet.

Ummm, that would ruin a $15 card. I think it might be cheaper to go to Kinko's and have them do a hi-res photocopy and use that.

I used a foil for the border and the actual Gargoyle on that one, and it ended up looking great. I really need to take better photos of these though!
