Guay seems to have been pigeon-holed in MTG art, they only give her the silly kami stuff, and the occasional semi-generic female character. Does anyone remember Kaysa or Priest of Titania? Gauy does amazing faces and bold peices when given the chance.
Rebecca Guay let me know in an e-mail that she is working on putting together a collection of angel paintings she has done into an art book. If you are interested in such a thing, be sure to go to www.rebeccaguay.com and let her know.
I love Guay's new art for sok. Particularly the breezecaller and the haru onna. The kami is very cool too because it is one of her few magic arts without a human/humanoid female as the focus.

Haru-Onna is my favorite art out of the set, even the Urami token doesn't quite do it.
It convey's what the card does so well, it looks like its fleeting and fanciful(bounces) and life giving(card drawing). Superb artwork.
She did charge, but I don't want to quote a price as her prices may change based on her current workload. They arrived at her home/studio in december, and came back to me July 1st, so keep that in mind.

sorry it took so long( that's were the REAL price lies for my original sketches- WAITING TIME)
I went to comic-con and i found a few mtg artists there (rk post, rob alexander, terese nielsen, and much more), i talked to some of them, they all say that they cannot talk about their work for unreleased sets but Rebecca Guay said that she made some paintings for wizards last winter and a couple on spring. The winter ones where on Dissension, so that means that the others must be for TS. Also Cyril Van Der Haegen (circu) said that he worked for some art in future sets but he couldn't tell me anything about it.
Happy to hear she isnt being silently phased out because the noisy way didn't work.

I think you mean "PoN", but it seems to me that "PwN" is more appropriate

I think that WoTC felt that a lot of the players thought Standard was becoming mundane and a joke from all the nuked cards floating around. R&D took a vacation, and MaRo just started reprinting things.
er... DAMN :/
I really do hope they dump her soon. or at least, make sure that she doesn't get any good cards to illustrate. but good news on der haegen, i loved circu's art

I agree with Sapph. While the new art does have a harder edge and crispness to it, Guay's art portrays what magic is - a fantasy game. This is definately good news.
what I've noticed about Guay is her art is very "love it or hate it"... I haven't met a single person who has been in the middle... and while I absolutely love the heavily detailed, shadowed, and flashy new art that has been used on Magic cards (seems like each new large expansion since Onslaught makes me say "These lands are the best ever!", but that could be just the new borders or somethin...), but Guay adds a different style to the game, reminiscent of Richard Kane Ferguson: different, but not anywhere near less effective...
to sum it all up: I'm glad to hear that Guay's got some art coming up for Time Spiral...

What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
Guay's had 11 pieces in the past two years, which is plenty. If every piece actually looked different, it would be one thing, but they don't.
11 pieces of art that all look alike is depressing enough for two years.
Its the art descriptions she's given. They always ask her to do hippy Elves and wizard ladies and stuff. Guay needs a challenge. Let Guay try her hands at a Leviathan.
No... Goblins. What would a Goblin look like in Rebecca Guay's style?

GENERATION 3.78: The first time you see this, add it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation
It might look like Enslaved Scout... or the alternate art of Enslaved Scout.
As for all her art looking the same, no. It's all done by watercolour, that's all. All Avon's art looks "the same" if you want to talk that way. His art's all computer generated, so therefore it's all identical to itself.
Okay, okay, time for my all time favourite. Gaea's Blessing! So classic, so Guay. I have a foil signed promo version, and it's my most cherished card. It came, unbeknownst to me, in a collection I bought. I was so stoked to find it in there! I cherish it even more than my moxensesnsens.
Dorian loves the Breezecaller!
And Haru-Onna is neat too.
The Kami is not my favorite.

Chainer- How much did that cost?! i kno that she said that extreme alterations were 49$, i looked today...
Big thanx to R&Doom for the sig and avvy. I love 'em!
Official Satan of the Imagecrafters
Terese Neilsen drew Fact or Fiction and Force of Will.
Ms. Neilsen is also an awesome artist and great person, as is Ms. Guay, but Guay did not draw the 2 cards you mention.
Chainer, did she do that for free or did it cost you? Either way, they look so pretty!
I'm really considering buying a print of Angelic Renewal, that art is so nice.
Either way, Rebbeca Guay doing art for a new set is not exactly the shock of the century.

Let's hope she does 10 or 15 arts for the Time Spiral block, instead of 2 or 3 like they've been throwing her lately.
I wonder if the "back to Dominaria" thing is responsible for Guay (and other classic longtime Magic artists) making a resurgence.
