I'm curious as to what people's favourite land arts have been across all the sets of magic. Myself, I haven't been playing that long, but I'm a big fan of the alara forests, and I really like the m10 ones as well.

I plan to get a copy of the best looking forests and probably alter them at some point for my edh deck...

The Ravnica lands are by far my favorite across the board. I prefer the modern card frame, but there is some old art that I love. Here's my Top 5 for Forests:
Did you mean the FULL art Zendikar Forest are you and I the only two people on earth that love the half art? All of my EDH decks except Blue, which uses one of Randy Gallegos Tempest Islands, are 100% half art Zendikar lands that all match. I have said it many times before but the amount of effort it takes to get 32 of the same half art lands makes them very pimp in my mind. And they look awesome too!

Good sir I want to buy you a beer! I always suspected I was the only one. I can't tell you why but honestly the full art Zendikar lands just don't do it for me. We're completely on the same page. All my "pet decks" have the same basic land art (for the most part it's the Ravnica one I listed as #1).
Also, that Tempest is my second favorite Island art. Nice taste
Pre-Seventh Edition Core Sets rarely get the love they deserve. A great deal of art was commissioned and promptly forgotten, among it O'Connor's seasonal Forests that make you feel like a giant wading through a sea of pine cones. This is my favorite, but it's fun to point out the similarities in composition of each one.
#4:
I like this one from Morrissey because the forest itself isn't the focus. The bare trees grab your attention first, and it reinforces the Ice Age setting without beating you over the head with blizzards and yetis.
#3:
Basic lands are often dull unless the setting is unusual. This one stands out from the pack because it's not smothered in green. There's some green, but it accompanies a crayon box full of other colors packed in the center and stuffed around the edges. A lot of Innistrad's artwork could take a cue from Zana that you don't have to ignore bright shades in a dark theme.
#2:
There are very few sets with better basic lands in every color than Rise of the Eldrazi. They skew your perception, awe you with detail, and show how far Magic has come from since the first lands were painted. Jung Park is one of Magic's best new artists on top of that.
#1:
Basic lands have to convey a simple message in a different way twice each year. No one has ever done like Waters. It's a castle on top of a preposterously sparse forest, with other massive castles behind it on equally tenuous perches. The simplicity of the idea and intricate details buried inside make it perfect. I've yet to find a Forest I like more.
