I'm brand new to my first forum. I was hoping to post my cut and
paste cards. Is that allowed? I can't fugure how to add
attachments or art to my posts. Help?
Is it possible for anyone to make me some custom Bat tokens using the art from the Drakee things from Dragon Warrior?
One of each color (blue, red, and I think pink) would be perfect. That is, assuming that I'm not the only person old enough to remember what those things are :p.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

To include attachments you have to hit the 'go advanced' button to do an advanced post. Then there should be a little paper clip icon that will let you attach your pics.
Necromancer, Thanks, still lost. I hit go advanced, found the
paper clip, and got no response. I cliked on it and nothing happened. Right clicking gets me a send E-Mail picture but
that's not what you meant is it? Below my response square
is a manage attachments button but it's unresponsive.
Hey Guys,
How about an art Gallery? I came to the forum because of the
great card art. It's a real pain seeing everyones fantastic pictures.
Techies unite. Isn't it possible to gather all the art together in
picture format?
1.Show all art in one place.
2.Link the art to the submitter.
3.Catalog the art, lands, creatures, spells, and so forth.
What I'm trying for is one place to see all the art. I've been
working like a dog to search the site for all your great stuff.
I'm tired!

Dave, I'm pretty sure it runs some sort of little script to enable the attachment, you might have to fiddle around with your security settings to enable scripts...or check if a pop up box is blocked or something like that.
Sorry, I don't know any more to try and help.
The other thing you can do is get your pics hosted on another file site, and then put the link here (just make sure they are a file hosting site so you aren't leaching off a web server.). I think some people here use rapidshare? Can anyone confirm that?
We do have threads to serve as art galleries...it might be worth looking into getting a 'real' gallery.
The general issue at hand is taking all of the artwork, uploading it to your PC, then compiling a zipped folder/any other file compression utility folder. Once that's done, you have to find a site that can host the mammoth or mini-mammoths and hope it stays active long enough to matter, which usually doesn't happen unless you purchase X amounts of storage. File Cloud was one I use upon rare circumstances and also MyFileHut. Anywho, feel free to compile away lol.:):D
Yeah... I've kept a running compilation of art from the big fantasy art thread, but I've nowhere to put it up; its just too big. I may look into those sites named by you though, PBG.
When I render my cards on MSE2, I'm tired of the square laughing at me. So, here's a request for an expansion symbol: A stylized version of the letters "FCC", done in gold, silver, and black. If anyone wants to do this, I'll be eternally grateful.
Please post all requests and requests for help in the Official Request & Help Thread. This is. once again, why we have this stickied. Thank you. - PolarBearGod
I think you're missing something; rendering them in gold, silver, and black won't make them usable in MSE2. MSE2 uses an entirely different method. It has to be a symbol in the upper right 40x40 pixels of a 60x80 pixel bmp. And the "FCC" must be entirely black, with its surrounding white.
Dude, have someone make one for you in the symbol file format, save it here then use it for your MSE2. I think that would work fairly well. You dont need all 3 colors. It'll adjust by itself when you choose the rarity.
So some friends and I are starting another d&d campaign (in Faerun of course) and we agreed to get an anime picture that would kinda represent what our character looks like. So, of course, I'm the sorceress, and I found what would be the perfect art.....except that the hair and eye color are kinda off what i wanted.
So, I am in need of a hair color change (quite popular these days so I hear) of this image to blonde and an eye color change (if possible) to brown.
I would appreciate it if someone would be able to do it quickly, but of course I understand you'all have things to do in reality. Please, help me
Thanks
PS:About the looking for art, we all hafta go through the painful ordeal, but the time is worth it. It seems like its going to take forever, but it goes faster than you may expect
I can do some Symbol editing, but the C's in FCC are very hard to get exact let alone elegant. I can do swords, spears, maces as well as various occult symbols, but I've always had problems doing the curves.
Anyone can make symbols for MSE2 in a bmp format, as long as they follow the specifications I laid out in my previous post. Here they are again:
The symbol itself must be entirely contained in the furthest upper right 40x40 pixels of a 60x80 pixel bmp file. The portion you desire to be the symbol must be entirely black, and the remainder of the 40x40 pixels must be white. The color and contents of the rest of the bmp file are irrelevant.
I'll also attach an example. The example I'm attaching was a symbol file made by a MSE1 user, who used this file to export his symbol to MSE2. The symbol is featured in 5 locations. Four of them are in a column on the left side, and if all 4 were erased, the file would still work. The larger one on the right is the important one. It is the section of image the program reads to build the symbol.
Also, I've noticed that when you import a symbol this way, the editor doesn't do well at recognizing empty spaces that are completely enclosed by solid areas.
One could even use Microsoft Paintbrush to do this.

I actually tried this today, and it did work very well, only that the symbol I used lost alot of its curves when it loaded as a mse file. Regardless, it worked out well and I will attempt to master it in the future.

PolarBearGod,
I shouldn't have said, Link. Our posts have our names next to them. Click the name for a lot of handy info. Could we have a
similar Art post? Your name with your art or at least a sample.
Then follow the Name connection back to all the info already on
the forum. It seems that solves all the tech problems you
mentioned. I think.

Unfortunately, that's something I as a moderator am unable to create. It's something that would have to be suggested to the administrators and such, because it would require some site technical work on their behalf and in order to constitute such a thing, they would probably have to feel there was a need for such a thing and/or see enough people requesting it. I like the idea you have if I understand it correctly. When you bring up the user name options, a tab would appear where you could see all of the art (personal work?) by that person? If that's what you mean, then you could always create an extended signature. HOwever, if you mean show art that people have contributed to the forums in some manner, such as uploads for FCC and art contest entries and the like, then it may require further work. I'm somewhat unsure on this, so maybe Craven could offer some insight to this, as he is probably MUCH more informed on this kind of stuff than myself.:-/
Sofie,
If you just want pictures you should try http://magiccards.info You can just type in the name, or card number, and they bring up what I believe is probably the best scan you'll be able to find online (although sometimes the colours look a little off to me.).
If you want a PSD file, I can't really think of anywhere I have seen one so far. Maybe someone else knows where you can get them?
Dave,
Good luck with that.
