March was the official MtG Tattoo month at the Artwork forums. We have got 2 (two) amazing entries so far. As a personal story, and to be honest, I felt a little tempted to get one of these onto my skin. At the end, this inspired me enough to design my own tribal MtG themed tattoo for a future tattooing session.
Thanks guys for sharing these AMAZING designs with us, and I hope to see you both taking part of April's edition of our Artwork contests as well!
Poll Rules - Please read before voting
When voting, please assess how each entry fulfilled the challenge and take into account the quality of work submitted
Multi-vote: You can vote for more than one entry and this way give credit to more than one artist
You are not allowed to vote for yourself. If you vote for yourself, your vote is invalid and will be substracted from the final poll result. Votes are public and can be seen by everyone else.
Feel free to comment on your vote. People will appreciate it
Entries are displayed in the order they were submitted: first entries first, last entries last
The participant with the most votes will win. In case of a draw, the winner will be determined by rolling the dice
This poll will close on 16th April.
Before presenting the entries, I would like to remind you of three things:
1. You can vote for more than one artist at the same time. Feel invited to do so, in particular since we received so many entries.
2. Please consider how each entry fulfilled the challenge outlined above before you vote - you are the scoring judge!
3. You can't vote for yourself. It's easy: Voting for yourself isn't the spirit of the contest, so just don't do it.
The challenge was:
"Create an MtG related tattoo design. Even when it's a wide challenge, it has some restrictions: - The design must be B&W (black and white) Colored entries will not calificate for this challenge and will be DQed. - The design must contain tattoing tribal elements. - There must be easily recognizable mtg elements (as symbols, characters or objects.)"
Not a regular here so forgive me if I step across a line I'm unaware of.
Love Bolas as a character. Love Bolas as a card. Really like the looks of the Bolas tattoo. Fan of the symmetry, spikes off the wings, fact that it is top heavy leading your eye to the horns and jewel, the 'bones' connecting the wings to the torso resembling clawed hands reaching for the viewer (even if that was accidental considering how subtle it is).
All that said, the Storm Crow is cleaner, sharper, and reminds me a bit of pin striping. I personally don't like that it says Storm Crow but even that was done remarkably well. Both are awesome but I gave it to the crow.
They're both great pieces and very adeptly represent the subjects. I can't pick one over the other, so I'm not voting this month. Great job both of you.
I don't mean to be a bother but am i ever gonna get any of my trophies? I just posted on this one cause it was the first, and is the oldest. (i dunno if i get a trophy when their are no other entires, but if i do... well.. i'm missin' a couple by that account.. ). I know ur all busy but just wanted it to be a tiny reminder :).

My apologies for that. March and April ones haven't been requested yet. I'm going to ask for all of them today. Sooner or later, be sure you'll get your cups. (Thanks for the reminder! ^_^;)
