You have a mountain, Ancient Tomb, Lotus Petal, and Desperate ritual, as well as a Chain lightning with opponent at 3. If you have anarchist, you win, but if you have Witness, you lose. Volcanic Geyser>Flaming Gambit

When you play Eager Cadet, your opponent dies of laughter. He gets DQ'd for stalling. Wait... That happens either way. :/
You have 3 Mana Flares out and you're at 2 life.
Edit: dammit, that proves Demonic is better. Gimme a minute.
Edit edit: fixed. Honor Guard > Eager Cadet. I'm going to keep doing this one until I get a real answer.
metagame advantage answer :
Your opponent is thinking about what to sideboard in against you. They saw a Honor Guard, as well as some other creatures with activated abilities so they bring in Cursed Totem. Although you don't rely on Honor Guard's abilities, because white is only a secondary color, it would be better for you if they hadn't sided that in, and Eager Cadet would have encouraged them not to use it.
game situation answer :
Honor Guard can bait you into situations where you rely on the ability but it backfires.
For example. You are at twenty life, and your opponent attacks with their seven power Shivan Wurm. You block, and pump defense the Honor Guard, tapping all of your lands to reduce the trample damage. Then the opponent plays Winter Orb, leaving you unable to use your Wrath of God next turn to handle the situation in a more permanent manner, and subjecting you to considerably more damage over time than the Honor Guard prevented in the first place by pumping.
Whoa... everybody in this thread calm down. We're here for fun, remember?

sudden impact > storm seeker
If there is a R&D's Secret Lair in play, and your opponent has a Misdirection, they can redirect the target of the Sudden Impact, but the Storm Seeker can only hit "opponents". If you meant it the other way around, imagine you have no green mana
If you are playing a deck that wins via milling, you can both find other win conditions AND get closer to winning. Also, you can use it to find Sudden Impact AND win with Sudden Impact, as opposed to one or the other. Ancestral Recall > Brainstorm. Easy, I know.
when your opponent plays a dark ritual, ostracize, with the intention to follow up with a Animate dead, but you use brainstorm to hide the best creatures on top of your deck.
Your opponent knows you are playing a Kobold deck with a couple Rohgahh of Kher Keep in it, so they know Kobolds of Kher Keep is strictly better than Crookshank. As such, they Cabal Therapy uou, naming the Kher Keep. Ivory Mask > Forethought Amulet, ignoring color
You can use Enervate if you have 0 cards in your library, a Mahamoti Djinn in play, your opponent is at 5 life, and has an Ornithopter in play, and not lose.
