You've found a legitimately correct answer for J15 down that works cryptically. However, I had a different answer in mind. The answer is a double definition, but I guess the clue needs a change to avoid ambiguity.
That's correct on J15. As for M11, it's quite tricky - the clue does make sense cryptically by Ximenean standards (there is a definition part and a wordplay part, and no extra linking words), but the clue was written to be sneaky.
