How to play:
I post a riddle, you answer it. Simple as that. I have many copies of cards I have been trying to get rid of and I am bored so I thought this would be fun. You win, you get a prize mailed to you.

Well not being t2 tells me it's not an actual trap. "Joined the battlefield" means its a permanent...
Of course. the answer is mistbind clique. you lose a partner because you have to champion a creature, and the "trap" is the ability to time walk your opponent by flashing it in during their upkeep.

Was a beast in the faerie deck and you had to champion a guy (hence losing a partner)...also casting it on the upkeep was a trap (basically a time walk)
