I was thinking of starting a game to see who could predict the outcome of pro tour paris the best. All players would draft three pro players with the winner being the forum member whose pros earn the most pro points. A tie would be decided by cash winnings.
If I get seven other players to be in I'll create a random draft order.
Edit: If you want to play but don't want to keep checking back to this thread, you can PM me a top ten list of players you would like to draft and if those run out you'll be assigned the highest ranked remaining player taken from the 2010 POTY standing.
I have it on good authority that the Phyrexians are going to win. However, Venser is then going to teleport the whole of New Phyrexia inside the Zendikar Hedrons, leaving the Phyrexians and Eldrazi trapped in an eternal struggle of the mechanics that nobody likes.
The next set will feature both infect and annihilator, and be called Maro'sWetDreamia. It will also feature a new Jace, to ensure that it sells well.
The event starts in like 4 and a half hours, and I'll be out of the house for most of that. It looks like it just might be the two of us. PM me your top picks. If anyone else wants in PM me yours as well. I'll make a random draft order and give you your picks based on the list you provide me with and post them tonight or tomorrow morning before I go to work.

Hardly a longshot, though - he's maybe the best Limited specialist in the world right now!
My list would have been:
Martin Juza
Bill Stark
David Ochoa
Edit: Oh, except it turns out I'm an idiot because they haven't been playing Sealed. I miss Limited Pro Tours.

Funny BDM said in the daily round up that if you were going to guess someone to make it to the top eight, Paulo and Nassif would be the best choices.
P.V. is a very strong and consistent player. New seasons and new formats affect him less than other people, which is why I picked him. Nassif and PV are very similar in that respect, but I think Paulo has the consistency factor down.
LSV, I feel similarly about to a lesser extent.
Wafo-Tapa... well, he's one of my favorite players of all time. There were smarter choices (my alternates are all doing pretty well) but I gave him the nod because he's a rock-star.

I'll be sad if people don't start calling The Chain Veil "Fleetwood Mac."

Is there any way to confirm who is even playing at PT Paris?
EtherealScorpions
Guillaume Matignon
Brad Nelson
Shuuhei nakamura
Promatim
Paulo Vitor Damo Da Rosa
Guillaume Wafo-Tapa
Luis Scott-Vargas
CMDoyle
Martin Juza
Brian Kibler
Gabriel Nassif
Anyone else who wants in can PM me three players not already named before the beginning of the tournament.
After three rounds each team has one player who is undefeated and two players that are 2-1.

I wanted players who are good at standard and limited, hence PV.
Bill Stark would be awesome... I need to give him more respect.
Ochoa never does as well as I expect him to do, for the amount of reverence I have for him.
I think my Wafo-Tapa pick was too cute. He's a great player, but he isn't someone I should bet on without knowing his deck.

Thanks man! I knew I could count on LSV and PV for a solid performance. PV might be the greatest player of all time.
I'd gladly scoop to you guys though if it could put LSV in top 8. So sad to see him and another player I really like (owen turtenwald) at 9 and 10.
So - what do I win?
