So are we gonna take LuckNorris up on his offer to replace, since he was the first to ask to join that did not get in, plus it was Doodle's turn to choose.

It's a bit early to start replacing people. I'd like to give him at least a day to get back before I consider replacing people. He could have been busy, or have a timezone that's a bit off from ours.
Oh yes, while I'm here.
Since Tanarim has Roslin, he holds the President's title.
Tanarin, you don't need to worry about your initial card draw, since your turn starts the game. For everyone else, you have an initial draw. You draw three cards of any color combination at the start of the game.
Example: William Adama can go 3 Leadership or 3 Tactics or 2/1, or 1/2. This is so you have cards to contribute to skill checks before your turn. You'll see why this is important very soon.
I see you guys are moving REALLY fast on this one so i may have to bow out given my time constraints in the near future. I do apologize, but im sure you can find someone to hop in my spot quickly given the popularity of this thread!
Tanarin - You don't need to worry about Receive Skills. Since you're first, you draw your normal hand.
Everyone else - If you look at the spoiled Cast of Characters, you'll see a number followed by a colored word, such as Leadership or Tactics. I need you to pick a total of three cards of any combination of those colors. Like atlseal did. Please post your pick in the thread.
Magwald - You receive the admiral's title, per line of succession. I'm sure you know what that means.
Loyalty Deck has been shuffled. I will be PMing you your loyalties. Do make sure you read over the secrecy rules: they're very important. Once people post their initial skill draw, we can officially start Round 1!
That completes the initial skill draws. Sending out hands now. Remember to read over the "Notes and Guidelines for this play-by-post game" spoiler. What the cards themselves do are noted in the "Skill Cards" spoiler. If you're confused by what the number means, see pg. 17 of the rules pdf. There's an example skill check there. I'll explain again if we hit an applicable crisis.
Pg. 32 of the rules pdf is everything in a nutshell. The only difference there, I believe, is that if you do not use your movement step, you can take two actions. Pg. 20 has the ever important Secrecy rules and tips.

Madame President, you preside over the remnants of the 12 Colonies. People look to you for leadership. What will you do?
Remember to bold your movement and actions when you've decided. You're always allowed to consult with other players, in the thread of course, on how to best use your turn. I think at least two people have played before, which makes it a little easier. There's no rush...just try not to take longer than a day or two.

I'm creating a graphic of the board state (and I'm willing to keep doing this if people want). I need to know which three cards Magwald chose.

If you're town and I'm mafia, you've already lost. You just don't know it yet.
OK, well any suggestions? I am currently thinking of possibly playing a quorum card, (either out of the hand or via the office ability.) Any other suggestions though would be appreciated.

The problem with Laura is that you're going to burn through a lot of skill cards using President's Office, and it's going to be too difficult for us to make skill checks until we've all gotten our full hand of cards. I'd suggest playing an Executive Order on either Boomer (so she can get into a Viper) or Gaius (so he can draw a couple of skill cards). Barring that, play a Consolidate Power for yourself.

Not really. That's why I had people pick their top three. It's to speed things up a little.

uh...I think with you bowing out...I'm the 'next in line'?
Fsk it, if I am, here it is. If I'm not, you can pass over it =V
1. Baltar
2. Lee Adama
3. Galen Tyrol
RIP Krensae Fluidtail: Sleep well with the fish
Yes you are. Let's see if we can get through character selection today. Thank you for checking in!
Since Roslin is a Political Leader (as is Baltar), I'll default to your second in the list - Lee Adama [Pilot]
Magwald's first choice of [Military Leader] Saul Tigh is valid.
Binary's first choice of [Support] Galen Tyrol is valid.
Dalkon's first choice of [Political Leader] Gaius Baltar is valid.
atlseal, there is both 1 pilot and 1 military leader. I'm not sure which of your defaults to go with.
(Siggy adapted, DarkHunter1357 (deviantART))
Piloting over Military Leader. Let's go with Boomer (1 Engineering, 1 Tactics, 1 Piloting)

if you'd please...

Yep! I do believe Lee starts the game in a viper. If you can pick your starting launch position (5 or 7 o'clock) please.
The DRADIS is currently...
1:00 - Empty
3:00 – Civ A, Civ B
5:00 – Viper
7:00 - Viper
9:00 - Basestar, Raider x 3
11:00 - Empty

RIP Krensae Fluidtail: Sleep well with the fish
Might I recommend you actually start at 7 so that you're able to move into attack the basestars/raider with a maximum firepower.
I thought that was 5 o'clock ._.
I think I flipped the game board in my mind...
Fly me closer so I can hit them with my lasers! (7 o'clock fix plox?)
RIP Krensae Fluidtail: Sleep well with the fish
Can do. Position fixed.
(Siggy adapted, DarkHunter1357 (deviantART))
1 Leadership
1 Engineering
For Baltar plox

Magwald chose 2 Tactics and 1 Leadership.
I have seen fancy board images before, but haven't found the file for them. Nor do I have the Photoshoppery to make them myself. Sorry about that.
Quorom card sent.
