Kara, it's up to you, but the consensus seems to be that we feel we can pass this check. The only reason I can think of why you would choose not to try the check is if 5 of yours cards were crap and you could just throw those five away.

If you're town and I'm mafia, you've already lost. You just don't know it yet.
I feel that trying to pass the check at the moment would be the most advisable as I don't think we have enough info to go on to send someone to the brig as of yet.

Action: Look at 1 random Loyalty Card belonging to any other player, then roll a die. If 3 or less, lose 1 morale. Then discard this card.

I say we should go for it. Also, ced had the right idea about scouting, but the Admiral is probably a better choice for it at this point (getting Tactics cards and being Human).

I do indeed have 2 cards left (Used one to XO Starbuck, and contributed 2 to checks.) I think we need to refer to the more experienced people here, how easy is it to regain food? Looking at this check and the amount of cards we have, just taking the -1 and advancing the check another notch is most likely the best move here.
RIP Krensae Fluidtail: Sleep well with the fish
P.S. All we need now is atlseal's card.

There are two crisis cards out of...alot that give you a skill check where passing gives you 1 food.
Edit: Zarek can also turn people onto Solyent Green.
