Thought of this at work, seemed like a fun idea, if it works cool, if it doesn't, who cares, at least I tried.
Words! They are magic. They can find you love. They can make you rich. They can find you power. Words are your friend, and the more words you know, the better life will be for you.
I know what your saying. "But, Mr. Timmick, what if I don't know many words? How can I ever hope to succeed!?"
Fear not my child, for THIS GAME is here to help! It works like so:
Every day, hopefully early in the day, someone, will post a word and it's definition. We aren't going for the plain jane words like "spoon" or "fork" or even the less common "spork", which is more common than you'd think. We're hoping for words like "Cutlery" or "Utensils". Things most people don't go out of their way to use.
After our word is selected, it's each players objective to use that word in casual conversation at some point in the day. Maybe you use it and nobody notices, which happens. However, maybe you use it and people catch the strange word you just uttered. Maybe they ask what it means. Maybe they just stare at you. Maybe it starts an elaborate conversation that ends with both of you giggling on the floor. Maybe, just maybe, they are so impressed, they snog you right then and there. Doubtful, but wilder things have happened because of words.
So, once everyone has had a fun-filled day with their word, they come back to salvation and report their story. The person who chose the word of the day picks a best story, and the owner of said story becomes that day's winner! Hurrah! It's now up to them to pick the next word for the rest of us to compete with the next day.
So, not only do we learn new words and expand our bountiful vocabulary, we also get the satisfaction of "winning" and maybe even impress our IRL friends too!
Does this interest absolutely anybody, or did I just waste the last fifteen minutes of your life? If it's absolutely wasted time, I'm not sorry, because after all, you were trolling the forum games of Salvation, so it's time already wasted. Might as well play, right?

I'll start: Flummoxed. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/flummoxed
Also, how do I just put the link into the word? I'm not so bright with this technology thing.
I know; this new technology can be quite flummoxing.
Here's how to do it:
Flummoxed
No longer staff here.
F-L-U-M-M-O-X-E-D
Flummoxed.
Man, online spelling bees are much easier than the ones I used to do in real life.
