okay, let's try this again, but a little differently.
(let's see if people are up for this game)
RULES:
This game is identical to the other "What Card Am I Thinking Of? -- Attack of the Guesses!" thread, except the following:
0. There is no scoring kept (for probably obvious reasons).
1. The person thinking of the card STARTS with a subjective clue,
and for each five additional guesses made, gives ANOTHER subjective clue.
(The person thinking of a card may also give additional free subjective clues, if they wish.)
2. People asking "Is this card ____?" may ask subjective questions if they want, but they aren't required to.
and one more rule that only matters if people guessing ask subjective questions:
3. Subjective questions might ask about artwork, but some cards have different artwork. Therefore, when the person who thinks of a card to be guessed, they must either a) state that they either are choosing the most recent artwork shown on the gatherer page of that card, or b) state that they are choosing an older artwork for that card, and answer any subjective questions for both /that/ piece of art, and the newest piece of art.
clarification:
A "subjective clue" is one where people may have different answers. Assume all subjective questions asked have "In your opinion..." implicit. ex: "Is the card you thinking of cute?" really means "In your opinion, is the card you thinking of cute?".
So, I'm thinking of a card:
- The artwork of the card I'm thinking of is the default (ie most recent) art shown on gatherer
- Artwork for card is most recent artwork on gatherer
S1) This card is annoying
1) This card is not a Goblin and does not depict a Goblin
2) The artwork has very little to do with why I think this card is annoying.

4)
Q: Is the card any good?
A: I'm not a great Magic player, but i *think* this card is pretty good is token swarm decks, and probably in fast decks that use a lot of creatures.
and yes, Squadron Hawk is a good card :-P
not the correct one, though.
it TOTALLY is CONGRATULATIONS!!
my clue about "it's annoying" may have been a little misleading, but that's the fun of these silly clues.
and you even did it guessing only cards startign with 'S', too! that deserves extra psychic credit for being so clever to know that right at the start
okay, your turn!
be sure to
- tell us if you'll be considering the artwork for the default card shown on gather, or instead a different artwork that does not show on the default page for the card, and
- start us off with a subjective clue
i look forward to this

typed in the word "constant" into gatherer, and it reminded me of one of my favourite cards ever that i used in my first ever (reasonable, ie not 150 card 5 colour, lol) magic deck!
LO~~~~L
you got me there!! i thought that since your subjective clue for your first card gave it away, then you might have not got that much better at making trickier clues ;P but you sure showed me, lol!
wow, i totally fell for it.
okay.
wow, i'm stumped. i'll have to just ask various normal questions, now.
wait... it has been around a long long time, it's future is not in question, and something is constant. but maybe it's so broken that the constant is that it'll never see print ever again, without question??
lol, but none of the power nine are green
what's overpowered in green .. and that's old ... hmm... .
oh, 2018, i'm so sorry about guessing a 2 CMC question! my attention to detail is really awful. i just chose an older, classic card but wasn't careful enough, clearly. sorry!
and wow, we have a new contender :-P so now it's a 2-way race :-P
KoG, could you explain for me why you chose Gaea's Liege? maybe i don't know my mythology well enough; does Gaea represent constancy?
(although, the most recent card on magiccards.info does have three periods in its text box, i just noticed)

Actually, silph, I chose Gaea's Liege not because of constancy, but because of the opposite of constancy. The first clue, IMO, talks about things in life being constant, however... This I inferred that the card being sought is not constant. And considering the changing P/T for this creature due to the number of forests on the battlefield and whether or not it's attacking, means it isn't constant at all.
The clues also mentioned working well with basic lands, and the Liege can change any land into a forest, and working particularly well with forests, so Liege fits there too. To be fair, I am not sure if the clues put an emphasis on the basic lands aspect, or if it was just in response to your question about basic lands, and the fact that the Liege technically works on any land (well, nothing with Shroud or Hexproof, lol).
Liege and Giant Spider have been around since Alpha, so fits that clue.
Interesting aspect about the Modern frame. It's not printed in the Modern frame, but it is Modern legal.
2018 mentioned you are getting closer with the Wood Elemental (which was my original thought as I was lurking), but you got there.
The constant wild could also be related to the evergrowing forest made by Liege. The wild itself is constant.
2018 also mentions let go these earthly bonds, look into your heart. Heart and earth definitely make me think of Gaia at least.
If you look at the flavor text of Skyshroud Claim, "The forest's constant struggle..." again, IMO, represents the forest in constant turmoil, as in forever changing.
It's "future" isn't in question, because it is "Timeshifted".
Course, I could just be full of stuff.
