iLord's supposed attempt to get us past random voting seems to have worked. I think that his explanations are pretty bad, and voting Niv for his stated reason is scummy. Vote iLord
Guess we're actually out of random voting. Unvote cause people are seeing to much into nothing at this point. I hope that I would know better than to randomly bandwagon players if I was scum. What my vote did hopefully do is draw us out of the random phase of the game.
Hun, this is so not cool it's just not. the exodus to random voting happens automatically, no need to do this to get out of it. all in all, hun, you're just being cruel. can't we all just get along. and if we can't get along, weer need to remove the uncool persons form our beautiful presence. UnVote,VoteiLord seams to be the best option right now.
@AKid- thank you. Not a post restriction then, just you having fun. Have at it.
@Jobie- erm, not sure, actually. I was hosting God Mafia when my life when down the dumper and had to abandon it. I was in Sin City, 8-Bit, and LotR if that helps.
@Bigtime- the wagon seems fast, but I don't think he's even halfway to lynch yet, is he? Gotta remember, lots of players, so wagons are gonna seem huge for the first few days.
I agree that iLord's behavior seems odd. I *hope* that after the last fiasco, we don't have a Jester. Actually...
@Mod- can we have a vote count and due to the Greenwood Affair Incident, can you confirm or deny the presence of a Jester in this game?
I know that asking the mod if a certain role is present is technically outside game ettiquette, but we don't need paranoia to cloud judgment.
I'm not trying to pass it off as random. It was random (If you take out the fact that Niv's grammar really does irk me.) You people seem to have realized that the word random was not there. This just goes with the fact that I did not post that it was random in the same post. In case I didn't clarify, the vote was not meant to be taken seriously. The post, however was.
The reason? Well, I knew that it would draw a little bit of suspicion, and I was hoping it would shoot us pass the random phase. The random phase seems boring and I wanted to make it swift. Seems like I succeeded.
FYI - not buying this for one second. You seem to be piece-mealing together a defense as this goes along. All the "it was nothing" and WIFOM has now degenerated into "it was a random vote" and "it was a ploy to stir discussion".

What do I get for trying to oblige with your request? A accusation of OMGUS. I'm glad that we're over.
What the heck are you talking about here? This is to AK, who voted you in post 84, you voted him in 88. *boggle*
@DM: There can be reasons to fake a posting restriction as town, and the same can be said for scum. Hypothetical example: If Niv is faking as town and iLord goes to lynch and comes up scum, I'd say it was worthwhile, wouldn't you? Furthermore, I'd hardly say being distracting is always anti-town. There's often a method to the madness - ask Azrael. My read on it really depends on the person. AK and Niv are not two people who I would suspect of gambitting in this manner, which means that AK's post 96 gets a big from me.
Post 99 from Tanarin sets off giant alarm bells for reasons that should be quite obvious.
Remember post 100 if iLord dies and turns up scum. Ged just tied himself directly to him. This whole "newb town" and "newb scum" crap is ridiculous- we go through it every game. If it looks like scum and acts like scum, it should get pressured like scum.
Post 102 BigTime does the same thing Ged did in 100. He also slaps a giant hyperbole in there for good measure:
Quote from BigTime »
In the end, it seems like we are rushing this lynch like crazy. Seems like someone wants it to be night really soon...
Yeah, hi. With 23 current players, it's twelve to lynch. iLord has, what, five votes on him? Overreact much?
shhh baby. I love ya, but don't talk too loud. I would love to know if there's a jester, but I don't think that the mod can tell us.
I love a man who can make me laugh though. One time I dated a comic-those were good times, but his sense of humor got too sick, even for me:O
However, I doubt he would tell us, but that's just gaming the mod.

@Mod- can we have a vote count and due to the Greenwood Affair Incident, can you confirm or deny the presence of a Jester in this game?
I can confirm there is NO Jester in this game. Whether or not I am a good, fair or bastard mod is up for debate, but i have limits you know.
Also, im very busy atm, i promise another vote count by tomorrow morning, but i can't do one right now.

It's actually not gaming the mod sweetums. there was recent discussion, ad i believe that the evilness that comes with the ugly jester role is only permitted in a specialty game. and then only with reviewers permission hun. if there is a jester in the game, i would be highly disappointed in loran. i could never sleep with him. Brad Pit on the other hand
@DYH- I never said they were faking anything. If Akid wants to roleplay that's up to him. I just wanted to know if its an actual restriction or not. Seems to me that Akid's was not, and Niv's is. I have to agree with your comment on post 99 though.

I completely agree here. The iLord wagon is interesting, and I agree that his actions haven't seemed exactly pro-town; but, for now, I think I'm going to leave my vote on Tan, unless he can explain exactly what he was trying to accomplish with that post.
I want to give iLord one more chance at defending himself before I vote him. While I think there is merit in voting for scummy play in newbies, I'd like to give him one more chance.
@AK: Whatever, if you refuse to understand what I'm saying when there's at least one other person that clearly was able to understand me, that's your call. I'll come back to you later.

@iLord: As Vampyr has shown us through Apok Kid (and the fact that I had two randoms on me to start the day, also), there was already someone(s) with two random votes on them. How exactly did you figure your "random" second vote on Niv was going to kick-start the thread from the "random phase", exactly? This makes no sense.
Simple answer: You didn't honestly think that at all.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
DYH's point that iLord is making crap up with his "Well, I knew that it would draw a little bit of suspicion, and I was hoping it would shoot us pass the random phase" line is the only point against him I like so far. I like it a lot, though...
Still, vote BigTime. The number of things wrong with the reasoning in his most recent post is staggering. There's no rush to lynch. No one is pushing for night. You've only considered the people with wagons on them for voting, meaning you're directly looking to wagon and not consider other suspects. I particularly don't like the phrase "let's take a look at our options we have", which just throws out everyone else as a potential person to examine.
I'm pretty suspicious of you Tanarin, hon. I got to give you the FINGER (of suspicion)

lol, options were just, at the time, people who seem to be getting attention. Looking back, a lot of this could have been phrased differently, but it really does seem like a lot of conclusion jumping to me. I exagerated some issues, specifically the bandwagon in the last little bit, but the voting that was going on happened quick and suddenly, and over what I assumed to be a big mixup. I was just providing my own viewpoint on the situation, not trying to say what is or isn't. In fact, in my opinion, the more time we would give to the vote, the more assured we can be as to the correct person to lynch. Nobody likes to lynch town, especially on day 1, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt the town that much.
In short, I suppose I just overreacted to the sudden accusations. I was rereading, so my analysis of the situation is prolly a little off, but I was just commenting on what I saw. Of course, the situation since then has changed quite a lot...

It was nothing. It was a random vote that generated discussion. There was nothing. There is no contradiction. Here's what was going on in my mind as this played out: I first posted the vote without any explanation to hopefully push us out of random. Then, when I was questioned, I explained it. Instead of this ending after a few people voiced their suspicions, people proceeded to see more than there was to see. I explained that it was a random vote/nothing and the WIFOM was (admitedly invalid. Didn't see it was WIFOM when I was posting it. A mite bit hasty. Hopefully, it won't happen again.) defense against your accusations that it was scummy. I admit that I didn't have the clearest idea what we were going to talk about after the suspicion on me (hopefully) ended, but some people seem to have seen some other stuff other than me to talk about anyway.

Doing something you admit is not protown that's classically foul? And not even sharing your 'random' vote love with moi? It's over honey. unvote, vote iLord
There. Je partage l'amour avec lui.
@DYH (Again): The point of the post was not that it was the second vote, (I didn't even notice it. I just choose Niv cause he was being discussed and his grammar was quite atrocious) but because of the lack of explanation. You say that my lack of explanation was scummy. It was not. None of this admitedly would have happened if I had just Random Voted again normally. (I'm pretty sure that Random Voting twice is not a scum tell) However, by not doing so, my "plan" was sucessful in that respect. It was not sucessful in the respect that its probably gonna get me lynched despite me not seeing anything scummy about it. (Just another question. If I choose someone else random, would this have happened. Is the suspicion on me just because of my choice of Niv? If so, I might just kill myself for not thinking.)
@Cyan: No, but what happened to this "Viper?"
I admit that I don't see the scumminess of this, but I guess you guys must have some type of valid reasoning or so many people wouldn't have agreed. I'm trying out a new posting style, one that is less reactive, but guess all it does is pointlessly draw suspicion.
@iLord: Why did you feel the need to try to push the game out of the random voting stage?
And no, making a second random vote or even placing the second vote on someone in the random voting stage is not scummy, regardless of what AK erronously believes.

@Vampyr: I simply don't like the random stage. It is my first one, but it just feels like the game hasn't started. I know that it's a necessary evil and that some people actually enjoy it, but I thought (apparently eronously) that we could bypass it. but I thought (apparently eronously) that we could bypass it. I think you all can rest easy knowing that I probably won't try this again.
One question, iLord: How exactly did you think your "random" vote was going to push us out of the random phase? I know that it did, but what about it did you think would accomplish your mission?
@TheFooFish: By the lack of explanation. I knew that if I saw someone vote without explanation, I would be immediately suspicious. I would not still be this suspicious after what I (obviously) believe to be a decent explanation, so all of this suspicion falling on me was not in my plan.
@iLord: Okay, just so I'm clear on this, your "plan" was to create an unnecessary, quick end to the random phase by posting a simple "random" vote and attempting to draw unnecessary suspicion onto yourself, so you could hopefully explain your way out of it, wasting everyone's time? Right.
If that, somehow, actually happens to be true, it is officially the worst plan I have ever heard.

Because maybe thats the alternate killers kill style, besides if you never find the person how can you know who they were? If we want to get to speculation, fits more with a SK. especially since the player was unlikely to get doc protection, and the nonreveal ability seems like it would help a sk more than mafia.

Bad, bad, bad, bad. No dessert for you tonight
This is not a good suggestion to make. If the doc(s) and/or rb(s), wishful thinking on the multiples there btw, start making subtle hints, don't you think the scum can pick up those hints as well? And suddenly we start loosing power roles. Then we start lynching you for making bad suggestions like this.
It's just best that no one say anything about what they did last night, don't hint, don't breadcrumb, don't even fart too loudly about it. Damn, it's only day 1 so far.

Why and how do you figure "it's too early...to be placing an actual vote one anyone." That makes no sense at all. Are you just going to accuse people of being scummy for the first week and suddenly bust out the uber-vote to drop someone in their tracks?
Granted, you shouldn't be voting willy nilly, but there are some viable options that deserve to have votes placed on them. It'd be a good thing that you use vote somewhere to emphasize your suspicions.

@Tanarin: It's very strange that you assume there was no "second kill"
during the night when there are in fact 2 people who are as good as dead barring some other event that suggests we should believe otherwise. It is a terrible, terrible idea for docs, roleblockers, or any other town power role to go dropping hints with the express purpose of everyone being able to see them. Best reason one would want this to happen is if one is scum hunting power roles and not town hunting scum.
Unvote iLord, Vote tanarin
iLord's behavior is sketchy, but fishing for power roles to drop hints as to their identity in the thread and hoping they are identifiable is extremely anti-town.
@TheFooFish: By the lack of explanation. I knew that if I saw someone vote without explanation, I would be immediately suspicious. I would not still be this suspicious after what I (obviously) believe to be a decent explanation, so all of this suspicion falling on me was not in my plan.
Then what exactly was? Just a "little suspicion"?
TFF nailed it in the post following this one quoted.

And no, I did not say that I find you scummy for voting without explanation, I already explained that had you attached the answer you gave to bateleur I would've done the same thing. I pretty much inferred why you were voting Niv and it was a bad reason (and hint - it wasn't because it was "random"). You then validated that bad reason. You have since then switched gears to play it off as a random vote and you working some sort of "master plan". The whole thing simply doesn't add up.
In other news, I have another really good reason (besides your glaring scumminess) to want this wagon to get to claim range so we can get it from you. I'll explain after the fact if/when it happens.
To your last point - had you voted someone other than Niv (or AK), yeah, it probably wouldn't have been the explosion you're seeing here- at least not from me. They were the opportunistic targets at the time because of their obnoxious PRs (faked or not). More importantly, though, why are you so concerned about your image now? The last two players I called on this tell were both scum (waves to Stormblind in DotA and Atlseal in Matrix). Looking for lessons learned for the next time you draw a scum role?
@Vampyr: Yeah I see your point, but I have never liked using votes to get reactions. Just been a personal thing I believe in. Would you prefer I throw more votes around? It just isn't me. If I feel someone deserves a serious vote, I will give my reasons and vote them, plain and simple.

I think that the notion that Tanarin might be the SK because he speculated about a missing kill is pretty silly.
Or more importantly there's the bit about him encouraging power roles to drop recognizable hints about their targets from Night 0... which is why I'm voting him. iLord has been reacting badly and contradicting himself, and his initial vote on Niv is suspect. Tanarin's suggestion can only really serve to out power roles so they can be picked off by scum. They're both looking bad to me, but Tanarin looks worse.
.
Care to provide some evidence or support to this fabricated number and baseless claim?
Oh, no evidence, thats just my belief, and saying that those of you pushing the iLord wagon are suspicious, and I am not joining. Is it fact? of course not.
Ok, now that I've relatively caught up with the 5 pages that I've missed...
iLord looks fairly scummy at this point. I don't think trying to speed up the random vote phase to get it out of the way is a solid plan to go on in the first place. In a game this large, the random vote hase is going to happen. Whether or not it was a townie making a noob mistake trying to play it off as such is not helping. Vote: iLord
Also Tan looks somewhat scummy for reasons already posted earlier. Yes, it would help for a possible doc to know who to protect but this early in the game dropping hints wouldn't be such a good deal because scum can pick them up just as much as town could. FOS: Tanarin.
Personally, I feel like there are 2 scum trying to push/hop on this iLord thing, which is really a noob trying to defend himself from something slightly scummy, so I dont like the quickness of the wagon, though it has slowed down.
Is that your gut instinct or a more statisical estimate? (8 votes, so likely 1/4 are scum)
And people were getting upset someone said the wagon was growing quickly. IT IS, and I think you should slow down, because at this rate iLord will be at -1 when everybody checks in.

UnVote, Vote iLord seams to be the best option right now.
subliminal messages are so not cool. honesty is a virtue that must be respected. or else i could never sleep with you.

FYI - not buying this for one second. You seem to be piece-mealing together a defense as this goes along. All the "it was nothing" and WIFOM has now degenerated into "it was a random vote" and "it was a ploy to stir discussion".
Yeah, hi. With 23 current players, it's twelve to lynch. iLord has, what, five votes on him? Overreact much?

Didn't miss it, hun

I can confirm there is NO Jester in this game. Whether or not I am a good, fair or bastard mod is up for debate, but i have limits you know.
Also, im very busy atm, i promise another vote count by tomorrow morning, but i can't do one right now.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
It's actually not gaming the mod sweetums. there was recent discussion, ad i believe that the evilness that comes with the ugly jester role is only permitted in a specialty game. and then only with reviewers permission hun. if there is a jester in the game, i would be highly disappointed in loran. i could never sleep with him. Brad Pit on the other hand

I think thre i cance for you after all
Millionaires, I hear it's good Music (Disclaimer: lyrics not PG-13) Thanks, CC
@DYH- I never said they were faking anything. If Akid wants to roleplay that's up to him. I just wanted to know if its an actual restriction or not. Seems to me that Akid's was not, and Niv's is. I have to agree with your comment on post 99 though.
Thank you so much. All the drama in TGA could've been avoided, and the game would have been more interesting to read if there were no jester.
Can I date you loran?:o

I completely agree here. The iLord wagon is interesting, and I agree that his actions haven't seemed exactly pro-town; but, for now, I think I'm going to leave my vote on Tan, unless he can explain exactly what he was trying to accomplish with that post.
@AK: Whatever, if you refuse to understand what I'm saying when there's at least one other person that clearly was able to understand me, that's your call. I'll come back to you later.

Also, I missed the blatant fishing in Tanarin's post there despite commenting on it. Yikes.
Seriously though, you really look like scum here. You're not making any sense whatsoever. Vote iLord
Tan, I love the cute avatar, and I love you, but fisherman just aren't like Sailors.
Who I <3:love:
Also, Tan sounds like a possible SK. Like, he's whining about his kill not going through. An SK wouldn't be shocking in a 25 man game, and Tan sounds like one. I like adventure, but I don't want to be the victim of a gay Jack.

lol, options were just, at the time, people who seem to be getting attention.
@DYH:
My Custom Set: Solescurio
And no, making a second random vote or even placing the second vote on someone in the random voting stage is not scummy, regardless of what AK erronously believes.

One question, iLord: How exactly did you think your "random" vote was going to push us out of the random phase? I know that it did, but what about it did you think would accomplish your mission?
My Custom Set: Solescurio
If that, somehow, actually happens to be true, it is officially the worst plan I have ever heard.
AHAHAHAHAHA... a better question would be if he was Max, but I dont know how many non Wifomers have heard of Max.
Well, get used to the random voting stage, cause its here to stay.
Personally, I feel like there are 2 scum trying to push/hop on this iLord thing, which is really a noob trying to defend himself from something slightly scummy, so I dont like the quickness of the wagon, though it has slowed down. Also CALIFORNIA: WHY IS THE REST OF YOU SO DUMB? SF VOTED FOR OBAMA BUT NOT THE REST OF YOU.... 52-43 IS NOT GOING TO BE EVEN IN DELEGATE COUNTS >:o
I will be voting for Hillary, but that's beyond the scope of this game.
Please keep your US political debates into the debate forum. Most people here arent even American anyhow.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
@iLord, I am really not liking the bad mojo-jojo vibe I am getting from you. "random voting" to end the random voting phase is not kosher at all and reeks of scumminess. I am not voting you though because it is too early in my mind to be placing an actual vote on anyone. (Especially with AK's play right now)
@Ged: Maybe you are right and it is a variant kill, but wouldn't we get his role if it was? I think his AWOLness has nothing to do with the lack of kills.

Sweetie, when did I claim a restriction? I would love a nice creampuffeater like yourself however. I think iLord claims he took an obviously sarcastic comment too literally as a screen for omgus. I'm happy where I am right now with my vote.

Maybe. As I am not familiar with the novels, is there any possibility of a cult being around and this is how they recruit? Because how it is worded seems like it could be a cult thing too.

If you don't believe in the random voting stage, why in the world did you bother participating in it? And on top of it, you annouced your first vote to be a random vote.
There are a few people on this site that feel the same as you do, they just annouce they won't be a part of it and don't vote.
Anyways, based on the first part of my response Vote: iLord.
Care to provide some evidence or support to this fabricated number and baseless claim?
And there are some American's that don't care to hear about politics as well. Thank you for this PSA.
So you like both sides of the fence do ya?
Why and how do you figure "it's too early...to be placing an actual vote one anyone." That makes no sense at all. Are you just going to accuse people of being scummy for the first week and suddenly bust out the uber-vote to drop someone in their tracks?
Granted, you shouldn't be voting willy nilly, but there are some viable options that deserve to have votes placed on them. It'd be a good thing that you use vote somewhere to emphasize your suspicions.

during the night when there are in fact 2 people who are as good as dead barring some other event that suggests we should believe otherwise.
EWP: Vamp nails yet another contradiction.

And in particular, DD's vote jump there reeks of opportunism, to me.
iLord continues to get more scummy with each post, basically. He's flailing like crazy, and failing miserably.
DUKE DUKE MOTHER******S!
(Yes, Axelrod, why did you join this game willingly?)
Anyhow, apologies but no votecount till tomorrow.
Logical Reasoning is dead; Long Live Stupidity
Or more importantly there's the bit about him encouraging power roles to drop recognizable hints about their targets from Night 0... which is why I'm voting him. iLord has been reacting badly and contradicting himself, and his initial vote on Niv is suspect. Tanarin's suggestion can only really serve to out power roles so they can be picked off by scum. They're both looking bad to me, but Tanarin looks worse.
I agree, I must say that I have kill speculated MANY more times as town than as scum.
Unofficial vote count:
iLord (8) - Jobie, Niv, Vampyr, Redington, ApocalyseKid, DYH, Cubus and Cyan.

Niv (1) - Wuffles

Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.
Is that your gut instinct or a more statisical estimate? (8 votes, so likely 1/4 are scum)
Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.
Wrong responce, just cause its day one DOES NOT mean nobody should actually play the game. Unvote, Vote Redington
Its more of a belief that 2 are always on a strong wagon, if not more. However, I think that both can be used here.
