Really? Did CPE try to shoot me the night before? If I successfully used my 2 shot ability to block 2 attempts on my life I will laugh long and hard at my fortune.
It must have been CPE 'cause I definitely had to kill DesCoures. She was gonna lynch me.
Great game if I haven't said so yet.
(My wife is so glad this one is over. All she's been hearing for weeks is how my Evil Plan is doomed to failure and I'll be dead soon, etcetera).
PM deserved the win that he got here. He played extremely well throughout, particularly so when I was getting lynched. That was flawless scum play.
DYH should have offered himself up to be lynched(including voting himself) after he lead that mislynch against me. It is unlikely that he would have actually gotten lynched, and it would have helped mitigate my lynch.
You are the Dark Emperor of Kushan, the God-being Ganishka. You are the one destined to rule over the world. Only one thing stands in your way, and that is the Godhand Femto. Loath as you are to admit it, you are still an apostle, and as such, Godhands have power over you. However, in your knowledge of the mystical you have no peers, and have divined a way to transcend an apostle; that is for you, an apostle, to be reborn into something greater than an apostle by means of the Demonic Womb, also called the Reincarnator and the Artificial Behelit.
Partners:
-Silat
-Daiba
Abilities:
-At night, you can speak to your two underlings Silat and Daiba
-At anytime during the day or night after the first day, you may choose to PM me and sacrifice Silat or Daiba
Sacrificing Silat will make you immune to night kills and lynches for an entire day-night sequence
Sacrificing Daiba will make you untargettable for an entire day-night sequence
At least two day-night sequences must pass before you can use your sacrifices (as in, if you sacrifice day two, you must wait until day four before you can sacrifice the other).
You will be notified if one of your followers becomes mortally wounded at night or is about to be lynched (lynch threshold reached), and will have the option to sacrifice him (if he reached lynch threshold, day will end)
If you do not choose within a given period (I will say in the PM), then they will automatically be sacrificed
If you choose not to sacrifice your follower before he is nightkilled or lynched, you will lose the ability to use the Artificial Behelit. However, you may still gain abilities by sacrificing your other follower. But remember, these are your trusted followers, don’t waste that devotion unnecessarily.
-When both Silat and Diaba have been sacrificed, you will have added enough power to the Artificial Behelit and will go through the reincarnation process. Who knows what powers await you? Remember though, these are your trusted followers; don’t waste that devotion needlessly.
Win Condition(s):
-You win when only ones of the Kushan Empire remain.
Mod note: Becomes immune to normal nk, SK one game-phase after Artificial Behelit is created, so in total, becomes sk on night 4. Day 2 sac guy, day 4 sac guy, day 5 gains kills.
goatrevolt
Silat (Kushan Faction/Neutral)
You are the exiled prince of the Bakiraka Clan. Your skill with the chakram, katar, and urumis are unmatched, and as such, Emperor Ganishka granted you your position in order for you to return your clan to rightful place. However, since you've seen the emperor's apostle form and wicked sorcery, you've become much more cautious and suspicious of the current Kushan Empire. Of course, you dare not make any sign of disobedience; the eyes of the emperor see far, and his sorcery unmatched.
Partners:
-Ganishka
-Daiba
Abilities:
-At night you can talk to Emperor Ganishka and Daiba
-Your skill with your weapons makes you a formidable foe, but your agility, planning and quick thinking will be more useful than your martial skills here. You may plan ahead twice during the game, and be immune to night kills that night.
Win Condition(s):
-You win when only ones of the Kushan Empire remain.
Mod note: turns survivor when emperor dies
andelijah
Daiba (Kushan Faction/Neutral)
You are Daiba, the Paramarishia Senani, leader of the Kushan Pishacha division, and creator of the Demonic Womb, also known as the Reincarnator and the Artificial Behelit. Your sorcery and magicks are second only to the emperor within the Kushan, but the difference between first and second are as wide as the widest ocean. Ganishka is both your king and your god, and your life but a mere pawn for his grand plans.
Partners:
-Ganishka
-Silat
Abilities:
-At night you can talk to Emperor Ganishka and Silat
-You can summon your one remaining Pishacha, Garuda, twice during the game. You will fly out of range and become untargettable.
Win Condition:
- You win when only ones of the Kushan Empire remain.
Mod note: becomes survivor if other kushans die
False Claim(s):
-Sir Laban
-The Baron
creampuffeater
Skull Knight (SK)
You are the Skull Knight, challenger of the Godhands, and a player in the spiral of causality that have followed the Godhand. Your swordsmanship is second to none, even able to match even Nosferatu Zodd in single combat. Though you pity Guts, whose role was so similar to yours, you have but one goal, and that is the destruction of the Godhand and the end of the spiral of causality. Though your swordsmanship is high, you can only do so much against Godhands, whose power is unfathomable, and whose physical presence exists in a different dimension then this. Perhaps only the power over realities will be able to defeat them.
Abilities:
-Each night you may choose to kill or search a player
If you search a player, you will discover if they have a Behelit or not. If they do, you will take that Behelit
That player will be informed of the loss
-Each Behelit you find will be coated to your Sword of Resonance, and each night you may choose to use your Sword of Resonance to kill instead of your normal sword
You may use choose to use one Behelit's worth of power from your Sword of Resonance to cut a rift in dimensions and hide to become untargettable for a night
You may use choose to use one Behelit's worth of power and choose to kill a player with your Sword of Resonance
This kill cannot be stopped by any sort of doctor save or nightkill immunity
You know there are 3 individuals for which you require the power of the Sword of Resonance to defeat
Win Condition(s):
-Be the last one alive
Mod note: Cannot steal crimson behelit from the Godhands, Femto and Slan
Maybe can’t be saved from targeting immunity either.
Can't kill Guts, Griffith, Ganishka without supahswordo
Booter
Hanafubuku King (Survivor)
You are the King of Elfhelm, the elven utopia located on Skellig Island. Both you and the island are regarded as myths by all, though some sailors will swear otherwise. As such, no one will expect you to be here, but that might work to your advantage. However, you detect the foul presence of the Godhand Femto. You cannot suffer his foul presence, and his physical incarnation must be removed from the material world for the good of all.
Abilities:
-Those without an open-mind cannot see elves; as such, you are immune to night actions from anyone who has a closed-mind
-Elves are known for their amazing healing powder, and being the king of elves, yours is even more amazing. Your healing powder can heal any wound, provided there is something to heal. Though you are the king of elves, you can only produce so much healing powder.
You start out with 1 healing powder
You regenerate one healing powder at the beginning of every night
You can build up to a total of 3 healing powders
You may target as many players as you have healing powders, you may target the same person more then once, but the second might or might not do anything extra
Each target will cost you one healing powder (except targeting yourself, see below)
You may choose to use 2 healing powders and make yourself immune to night kills for a night
-Using your powers in order to help you rid the world of Femto, you may PM me once during the day with a player name and have your vote count as double against that player for that day; your vote will show as double
Win Condition(s):
-Be alive at endgame
-Femto/Griffith must be dead by endgame
-The town must win
Extra Notes:
The Kushan was something I dubbed "sacrificial cult". The point was that the Emperor would need to balance out getting the "super power" and winning with the power, using teamwork to win, or a combination of both. I decided not to let the underlings know, and I don't know if they were aware of the fact that their lives were under someone else's control. I put in a little blurb in the role PM so that the Emperor player wouldn't go crazy and sac. his underlings. I actually decided I wouldn't let very new players play him (booter came up first on random.org) since I didn't want someone's experience ruined because of someone else's whim.
The Skull Knight (SK?! GET IT?) was actually given the other abilities (partly for flavour) mostly for the alternative claim he could spin around it (some sort of investigative role).
The doctor was basically town aligned, but needed to survive and Griffith dead. Self-heal was given for that reason, as well as being the doctor and having a restrictive double vote. At first his role was meant to be a red herring, as when I created the game (2 years ago?) he was mentioned all of once, but it evolved into a doctor type role when i didn't know who I could make doctor.
Only the Pope couldn't target the Hanafubuku King.
You are the Black Swordsman Guts, wielder of the Dragon Slayer. You and Caska are currently the only humans with the Brand of Sacrifice, received during Griffith's Ascension Ceremony, where he ascended to become the Godhand Femto. Recently, you came into possession of the berserker's armour, an ancient artefact crafted by the dwarves, and given to you by Flora, the witch. However, this armour has released the Beast, the darkness that lies within your soul. When the armour’s power is used, the beast comes, and all your rage and hate for Griffith intensify, until all that's left of your psyche is to kill and consume.
Partners:
-Caska
-Schierke
-Puck
Abilities:
-You may communicate with your mafia-partners at night and at day as long as Schierke is alive
-Every night you may choose to kill a player, if the enemy is powerful enough mayhap you'll be forced to use the berserker armour’s power...
This is the standard mafia kill; only one mafia member may choose to use it
Win Condition(s):
-When the mafia is able to control the lynch to kill off all the rest of the players, the mafia wins
Mod note:
If Schierke or Caska is dead, his kill will not be able to be prevented, though his identity will be very clear from the death-scene, will have a voting restriction, can only change votes two times the day after. So he can vote player a, unvote, vote player b, unvote, vote player c, unvote
If Schierke is dead, he will be notified anytime an apostle or Godhand targets him or Caska, but only the number of times and not the player-name
Brand of Sacrifice will bleed whenever evil spirits, apostles and Godhands are near, thus, you will be informed at the end of each night how many players have targeted you that fall into those three categories
Has a behelit
Stormblind
Caska (Mafia GF)
You are Caska, Guts' lover, temporary commander of the Band of the Hawk, and once the left hand of Griffith. However, since the Griffith's Ascension Ceremony, and the suffering that you received there, your mind reverted to that of a child in order to protect your ego.
Partners:
-Guts
-Schierke
-Puck
Abilities:
-You may communicate with your mafia-partners at night and at day as long as Schierke is alive
-Because your mind is that of a child, any investigation will reveal you to be harmless and innocent (which you are)
-You cannot make the kill
Win Condition(s):
-When the mafia is able to control the lynch to kill off all the rest of the players, the mafia wins
Mod note: Can be healed either by Hanafubuku targeting her once with the heal, or Puck targeting her 2 times with the heal
Once healed, she loses her investigation immunity, but however gains the ability to make the kill, as well as an extra one-shot
Will gain the ability to kill if she is the last mafia alive, but not the last one-shot
If Schierke is dead, she will be notified anytime an apostle or Godhand targets him or Caska, but only the number of times and not the player-name
Alx2
Schierke (Mafia Caster)
You are the cute witch sidekick of Guts, Schierke. Your knowledge of magical world is vast, and you know how to channel the power of the spirits to use for your own. Your knowledge of seals has made you invaluable in preventing the Brand of Sacrifice from attracting evil spirits. You’re also the link that keeps Guts from falling deep into the Beast when he uses the berserker armour.
Partners:
-Guts
-Caska
-Puck
Abilities:
-You may communicate with your mafia-partners any time during the game; however they will lose the ability to communicate during the day if you die, since the strands of your hair they wore acts as a conduit for the telepathy
-Once during the game, you may enter a trance and summon the most powerful spirits in the world and with the magic within yourself, you may choose to cast a spell that will obliterate a player’s mind and magic. That player will lose all activated and passive abilities and his/her rolename for the rest of the game. That player will still keep his alignment and win condition.
-You may use your abilities and summon a worldly spirit each night to kill a player for you
This is the standard mafia kill; only one mafia member may choose to use it
You may not use your ability and kill in the same night
Win Condition(s):
-When the mafia is able to control the lynch to kill off all the rest of the players, the mafia wins
Mod note: When dead, will affect Guts, mafia can’t communicate at day. Ability can be blocked by blocker or immunity, and the shot will be “used” after.
TheFooFish/Pale Mage
Puck (Mafia Doc)
You are Puck, the comedic but caring elf that has been with Guts longer then anyone except Caska. You like to play pranks and steal food from those who can't (and can) see you.
Partners:
-Guts
-Caska
-Puck
Abilities:
-You may communicate with your mafia-partners at night and at day as long as Schierke is alive
-Those without an open-mind cannot see elves; as such, you are immune to night actions from anyone who has a closed-mind
-Elves are known for their amazing healing powder, though the amount an elf can release at once is limited
You start out with 1 healing powder
You regenerate one healing powder at the beginning of every night
You can build up to a total of 2 healing powders
You may target as many players as you have healing powders, you can choose to target the same person more then once, it may or may not affect anything
Each target costs you one healing powder.
-Though you are an elf, and seem really weak, you can still use trickery to kill someone each night
This is the standard mafia kill; only one mafia member may choose to use it
You may not use your healing abilities and kill on the same night
Win Condition:
-When the mafia is able to control the lynch to kill off all the rest of the players, the mafia wins
Mafia had 4 members to offset the large amount of neutrals/Kushan. They had powerful abilities though (actually just Alx2...). Day-talk was usually useful for me as mafia, and it fit flavourfully. Originally Schierke was going to be a jack-of-all-trades except that she took one night to summon a spirit, and could use it next night, but the ability could have 2 targets, like a mystery-double-jack-of-all-trades.
Caska's GF ability fit flavourfully, and the extra kill was given to make up for 4 members and only 3 killing members starting.
Meh. Should have just been honest here Cyan. I thought you were lying because you claimed to have your win condition changed, despite the fact that it would make no sense for that to happen.
As for the Kushan, I thought we had no chance of winning when I first saw our role PMs. The chance for a 3 man scum team without a kill to win is really low. I figured Abso became a SK of sorts upon sacrificing us, but still, a 3 man scum team that can gain a kill by sacrificing two members is still quite weak.
After I turned into a neutral survivor, it made a bit more sense. I almost screwed myself, though, because I thought we needed Zionite alive to have any chance at winning. I quite nearly tried to stave off his lynch, but decided to hold back simply because there was nothing I could possibly say to prevent it. Upon becoming a neutral survivor that night, I was so happy I didn't try to save him.
I did find it humorous, though, that Some One said Zionite might be fake claiming doc and the real doc was inactive and thus couldn't counterclaim, considering that was the exact situation with Booter. For the record, I thought Zionite's claim was solid, but he should have never claimed to protect Cyan, because it made no sense based on Abso's play.
You are the Godhand Femto, who was once and still known as Griffith by humans. Your deeds with the original Band of the Hawk were legendary, to the extent that you, a common-born peasant, was promoted to General. However, it all went sour when Guts left the Band of the Hawk, and you were found to have spoiled the Princess Charlotte. Tortured for a year, your tendons and tongue cut, violated by the grotesque torturer, and mentally broken, you had nothing left when Princess Charlotte and the Band of the Hawk rescued you. In your despair, you used your Crimson Behelit, the Egg of the Conqueror, sacrificed all who cared for you, and ascended to one of the Godhand. Two years later, after the Incarnation Ceremony, you walk once again on the material world, this time with a Band of the Hawk stronger then ever. Your one true dream is finally at hand, to have your own country and only a few more stands in your way.
Abilities:
-Seeing as how you're a member of the Godhand, you are immune to all night actions from normal apostles
-Your gift with the sword was prominent when you were human, suffering only defeat to Guts, however now you are the physical manifestation of a Godhand, and thus more powerful then ever; you are immune to night kills
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
Modnote: immune to Skull Knight’s normal kill and guts’ normal kill, zodd cant target him
Zasz234
Nosferatu Zodd
You are the Immortal Zodd, scourge of the battlefields. You've lived and breathed war for three hundred years, and in those centuries of life, you have never found someone who could defeat you so easily in battle, except for one. You're glad you let Griffith live all those years ago. His ascension to Godhand was predicted by you, but the survival of the Struggler was a shock, but you're glad he lived. Only he and your old enemy, the Skull Knight had ever battled you to a standstill. Perhaps if you could find Griffith in this mess, things would be better...
Abilities:
-Your skills in battle are unmatched by most; you may choose to battle one person to the death per night
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
Mod note: Can’t kill Skull Knight/Ganishka/Guts, has behelit I guess
Cyan
Rakshas
You are Rakshas, a recent addition to the Band of the Hawk. Your past is a mystery, except that you are an exiled member of the now exiled Bakarika Clan of the Kushan Empire. You’re a sneaky fellow, whose magicks no one knows. You’re one true goal, and reason for joining the Band of the Hawk, is to be the one to kill Griffith; he is perfection, and as something you cannot have, you must destroy.
Abilities:
-Using your Kushan magicks, and all around sneakiness, you can find out the alignment of any player
-They will be mafia, town, or neutral
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
-Griffith must be dead
Mod Note: Has behelit, not apostle
DragonDart/Some one
Slan
You are the Godhand Slan, the seductress, Prostitute Queen of the Fetal Ocean. You've sensed the Struggler, Guts, to be here on this battlefield. You've taken an interest in him, and thus have incarnated yourself in the material world from the guts of carcasses. However, you had to expend a lot of power just to incarnate yourself purely in the material world. This is only a partial incarnation anyways, and almost all of your powers cannot be accessed at this time. If, however, you could meet Guts, this would make the entire trip worthwhile.
Abilities:
-Seeing as how you're one of the Godhand, no matter how weakened, night actions by normal apostles against you will fail
-No matter where you are, you are still the seductress, the Prostitute Queen of the Fetal Ocean; each night you may choose to seduce a player, all night actions they take will be blocked
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
Alternate Win Condition(s):
-Your one reason to come here was to see Guts, you want to feel the heat of his large blade as he strikes his sword through your body, to feel his hate, pain and fear flowing through it; your alternate win condition is for Guts to NK you
Mod Note: I guess she knows guts is in the game and is mafia
desCoures
Irvine
You are the leader of the Demon Archers division of the new Band of the Hawk. You’re a hunter by nature, and you feel at ease only when you are alone. Also, not only is your archery second to none, your ability to track any living thing is also second to none.
Abilities:
-Each night you may choose to track a player; you will be informed of all his targets
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
Mod Note: has behelit
Catalina
Sonia
You’re the loveable Sonia. Griffith saved you when you were held captive by the Kushans, and since then, you’ve followed him with no hesitation. Your role in the Band of the Hawk is to direct the flow of battle with your clairvoyant powers.
Abilities:
-With your clairvoyant powers, you may choose to use your powers to watch one player at night and see all players who target that player
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
kman1474
Mule
You’re Mule, the “Duck Knight” as Sonia likes to call you. Though young, you’ve much skill with the blade. However, those skills won’t help you here.
Abilities:
-None
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy all anti-town
wo bu Yao/Wrath of Dog
Farnese de Vandimion
You’re the previous leader of the Knight of the Holy Iron Chains. However, since you’ve met Guts, you’ve had a change of heart, and have been following him so he could show a new way to live your life. However, recent events have led you to realize your love for your guardian, Serpico. Though you loathe leaving Guts party, and your teacher of magick, Schierke, you’ve realized all you need in this world is Serpico and that without his love you’d be empty and life worthless. Thus you’ve realize the easiest path to survival is to stay neutral in the battle between Griffith and Guts.
Abilities:
-Each night you may talk to Serpico. You know without a doubt he is on your side.
Win Condition(s):
-The death of all anti-town
Mod note: mebbe make half-lover? make her kill killer?
Kami of Lunacy
Serpico
You’re Serpico, half-brother of Farnese, not that she knows this. The bastard child of Frederico de Vandimion, you grew up not knowing your father, while your mother wasted away in both mental and physical sickness. Your meeting of Farnese as a child was by chance, and your discovery by Frederico de Vandimion was a stroke of good fortune, for all parties involved. Since then, you’ve sworn to protect Farnese. Recently, she decided to leave Guts party, for reasons you do not understand, but as always, you stand with her.
Abilities:
-Each night you may talk to Farnese. You know without a doubt that you stand with her.
-On the first nightkill targeted at either you or Farnese, you will use the powers of the cloak blessed by the wind spirits Sylph to save yourself, or Farnese if she is targeted.
Win Condition(s):
-The death of all anti-town
god child
Locus
You are the Moonlight Knight, whose jousting has never been bested. This led your pride to refuse to let you to serve anyone; that is, until you met Griffith. You’re now a loyal follower, and the leader of the Demon Lancer division of the Band of the Hawk.
Abilities:
-Your jousting is useless here, thus you have no abilities
Win Condition(s):
-To kill all anti-town
Mod Note: has behelit
Minineko/chaos550
Charlotte
You are the Queen of Midland. Since little, you’ve lived a sheltered life. However, when you met Griffith, you fell in love instantly. You loved him enough to let him claim you as his woman. However, your father, the King of Midland discovered your spoiling, and had Griffith imprisoned and tortured. You managed to free him with the original Band of the Hawk, however, you did not hear from him for years. Soon, after Kushan invaded, your father died and you were captured and locked away in a tower by Emperor Ganishka. Against all odds, your hopes were answered and Griffith came back and rescued you in the dead of the night. You’re love for him stronger then ever, you’ve declared him to be your betrothed, and the Band of the Hawk to be Midland’s regular army.
Abilities:
-As you are the Queen of Midland, you have supreme power over this country; any time during the day and twice per day, you may declare “XXXXX IS INNOCENT” in large, 24 point, bold, underlined, and blue letters; this player will be immune to the lynch as long as you do not declare someone else innocent; you may not use this on yourself
Win Condition(s):
-The evil that stand against you and the town must be destroyed
krowzy/sneakyhomunculus
Wyald
You are the Apostle Wyald. Though you were slain by Guts years ago, before the Hawk reincarnated onto this world, his presence has managed to reincarnate you. All you wish for is to follow Griffith and to enforce his will.
Abilities:
-None
Win Condition(s):
-Destroy the bastards who stand against Griffith.
Mod Note: has behelit
DYH
Anna
You are Queen Charlotte’s personal handmaiden. As such, you know that Queen Charlotte is in here with you in this place.
Abilities:
-None
Win Condition(s):
-For all those who oppose Queen Charlotte and Griffith to die
Ximbad
The Pirate
You are the biggest stereotype in the Berserk universe. You have everything a good pirate has, a cutlass, a wooden leg, a hook for a hand, an eye patch, a parakeet, and a big ol’ moustache and beard. Earlier you had a run-in with those snotty little brats, and then later that arrogant ass of a nobleman. However, you managed to survive by clinging on to a piece of driftwood after that nobleman destroyed all your ships.
Abilities:
-None
Win Condition(s):
-Your greatest desire is to plunder; Griffith taking over would mean prosperity for all, especially for pirates, who would be able to fatten their purses on noblemen and such; thus you wish to kill all anti-town
ApokalypseKid
The Pope
You are his Holiness, the Pope, and leader of the Vatican. Though you are the Pope, you’ve never felt any strong emotion in your life. Many people fought for the title and mantle of the Pope, but it was passed into your hands, someone who never aspired for anything great. You passed through your life never once seeking a dialogue with God. As your health declined, and death neared, you received a vision of the White Hawk, shining bright, like a prophetic dream from God; this gave you hope and the will to live.
Abilities:
-For once you feel as if you are the Pope, and you feel the power of God resonating through you, as such, once per night you may try to look into the heart of one other player and discover their alignment
Win Condition(s):
-Death to all the heathens and heretics who oppose Griffith.
Mod note: naïve, can’t target elves
Extra notes:
Naive cop... well... it just fit... so well...
Pirate was originally slated to get different win conditions, but then I got lazy and decided not to implement it.
I thought about making Farnese a half-lover, but there were so many kills that could've happened, I figured it'd be too disruptive.
Griffith was supposed to be the 1 super-confirmed townie, seeing as how basically everyone's role mentions him, and the mafia could get him killed with the help of Rakshas(Cyan) and Hanafubuku King and the fact that people would wifom about whether he would really be in the game.
ZasZ234 wasn't supposed to know that he couldn't kill people, but I wrote the flavour and since I knew he couldn't kill them already, I thought nothing of putting those names in the PM (which was all supposed to be flavour).
I gave the town solid (other than naive) abilities, with the masons being able to protect against one nightkill to offset the number of neutrals and killings possible.
Thoughts:
I gave too much flavour. A lot of things were hard to word, stuff slipped, got questions from DYH basically because I injected alot of flavour. DYH's role was basically meant to confirm Charlotte, and he asked me about his WC - it was supposed to lead him to think her to be town, but I wasn't going to outright and tell him that.
I thought the game was fairly well balanced (seeing as how we got to endgame, something must've gone right), though it could've gone swingy seeing as how Zodd, Emperor, Mafia, Caska COULD'VE contributed to a very funny 4-kill night.
My favourite role was the Kushan faction, with their sacrificial ability - unfortunately it didn't get used to the extent that I designed it. It kinda sucks since the manga is to the point where you actually DO see what happens when the Emperor gets to his "ultimate" form, since I designed the roles over 2 years ago, it was no where near that point. Yes, i realize that the Kushan was probably a bit underpowered, but neutrals usually are, and he was a supah-SK, so I thought it was balanced enough. Zionite happened to get lynched on the worst day possible.
Overall I'm satisfied with this. Most of the juicy roles got either killed early, or modkilled, but that's a risk mods have to take. I just wished I didn't have to basically modkill 4 people.
As for replacing Minineko, that one day went by super fast, and I sorta forgot about replacing her until I got PM'ed ><

This seems like it was ripped straight from Hvirfilvnir's role pm from French mafia.
Not a criticism, I'm just curious.
Looked like an awesome game.

Notables:
Night 1: 3 people target kman1474, mafiadon't protect Alx2 (who has the daytalk ability and luckily enough used his ability the same night he died)
Night 2: ZasZ234 fails to kill Akid
Night 4: goat makes lol numbah 1 by protecting himself on a NK attempt, desCoures sees himself dying (more lol for me)
Night 5: goat makes an awesome by protecting himself again on a nightkill attempt.
Night 6: Pale Mage doesn't target anyone, which might've worked out to his favour since people started suspecting choas550 since I needed a replacement for the 2 nights of no-kill...
Edit:
@Loran: Yeah, ripped straight of Hvir's role. I liked it alot. No need for change there.
Anyone know how to get html to work on this? I tried HTML tags but I think they just might be tags and not actually for showing html...

Agreed. I happen to have really liked reading through that game, and am glad to see at least one of its roles used again.

By the way, I wanted to mention that I really liked the game setup. I think the fact that the game came down to 4 vanilla claims out of the final 5 players, and everyone went back and made decisions based on behavioral analysis was testament to game quality. I was very happy with the way the game played out (and not just because I won). My only real complaint was that Andelijah/Abso had no idea that they had no chance of winning once they died.
I liked the way false claims were handled. Giving both scum groups names to false claim, but not abilities is the way to go. That way, you're not screwing over the scum if they don't know the flavor, but you're also not playing the game for them and providing them with everything they need to get by. The scum don't have to worry about coming up with a name to claim (and the town is punished for relying strictly on name claims to decide lynches on), but they still have to make important decisions about what to claim in terms of a role.
I think the only really poor lynch for the town was the Chaos lynch. I can understand it to some extent, as the town didn't have the information I did regarding the missing kills, but I really think Chaos made 0 sense as mafia based on his play. I gave reasons both day 3 and day 8 why he didn't make sense as mafia, but they mostly got brushed aside/ignored.
...ugh. I really couldn't believe while watching how you all let Pale Mage slide for multiple days...
Congratulations to Pale Mage, though -- and yes, I knew for certain you were scum because I saw you kill me. I thought for certain both no-kill nights were a gambit on your part following CPE getting killed, but apparently only the second one was. Oh well. Well played anyway... although, again, I cannot fathom how the town managed to get WIFOMed into lynching a cop, a mason, and a governor. o_-;;
I'll admit I bungled with the claim, though. I should have outright falseclaimed some random vanilla character, which only occurred to me after I'd made the post catching Stormblind and realized that I'd basically broadly hinted I was a power role, and confirmed it with the name, since all of the Band of the Hawk were power roles. Pale Mage, would you have killed me regardless if I'd claimed vanilla?

Esper Simperer; Even the court homonculi need someone to look down on.
Jund Fangirl; Few things can describe the bliss of the fangirl's cries fading to silence (broken by occasional munching sounds).
Grixis Emo; 'Why should I go out there? They're all uncaring zombies! *sniff* No one understands me...' Bant Wageslave; Behind every successful knight is a corporate drudge doing his taxwork.
Naya Overenthusiast; Because there is such a thing as too much enthusiasm.
Actually, Irvine was Band of the Hawk but was also vanilla (technically Mule is too I believe).
The false claims were given because most people here don't know of Berserk. I spread the claims out too, so that they were believable. Most of them were Apostles killed off before the Band of the Hawk formed - the Baron, Count, Rosine - (Wyald, the vanilla is part of this group), one was a large part of the Band of the Hawk - Grunbeld -, and the last was a noble of Midland - Sir Laban.
I feel that false claiming is a skill, but you shouldn't be punished for lacking knowledge of the theme and messing it up. So I gave out names, but not abilities. This way the scum had a fair chance of false claiming. I gave each group 1 less false claim than they had players, since there weren't enough random characters I could think of, and because I felt that it was fairer - no real reasoning behind it.
One thing I didn't see was a scum accidentally claiming the same thing another did...
These games recently have seemed in hindsight a hell of a lot simpler than they actually are (Harry Potter as well). I've been thinking these games were overall fairly simple, but the truth of the matter remains they are far from it - something I never quite realized was commonplace.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
I was entirely honest throughout the last two days; I spent far too much time and effort trying to explain two nights of missing kills when the easier explanation was simply that someone was skipping them. The Cyan lynch was terrible and entirely my fault. As for Chaos, Minineko's play was so bad that I talked myself into it for the same missing kill reasons.
I overthought things and GR/PM played a great game. Congrats to the two of you!

Absolutely. I would have killed you if you were a voteless townie. You were onto me and I wouldn't have been able to fight you off for long.

I wanted to say thanks to MMOD for hosting. I'm sorely tempted to start reading the manga now.
Er, Cyan did lose his alternate WC. I meant the WC part as a way of keeping neutrals from not having a WC after getting hit by that ability, but town/mafia with alternates would just keep original town/mafia WC. I worded goat's PM bad.
@Cyan: Thanks!
This game actually started when chamber and I were at my house playing magic, and we were discussing a bastard-mod game, and started using this theme... eventually it evolved into an actual game.
If Schierke or Caska is dead, his kill will not be able to be prevented, though his identity will be very clear from the death-scene, will have a voting restriction, can only change votes two times the day after. So he can vote player a, unvote, vote player b, unvote, vote player c, unvote
Basically un-stoppable kill, but obvious who (ie Guts) killed.
As for night 1, Alx PM'ed me what basically constited as a facepalm.
Hahahaha. Owned.
Heh. I should have tried it!
Thing is, based on my abilities, I think that name fits my role best.
DYH should have offered himself up to be lynched(including voting himself) after he lead that mislynch against me. It is unlikely that he would have actually gotten lynched, and it would have helped mitigate my lynch.
Ah well. C'est la vie.
Again, well played Pale Mage.

Man though, those roles are impressively thoughtout and designed.

Alx2
TheFooFish/Pale Mage
Extra notes:
Mafia had 4 members to offset the large amount of neutrals/Kushan. They had powerful abilities though (actually just Alx2...). Day-talk was usually useful for me as mafia, and it fit flavourfully. Originally Schierke was going to be a jack-of-all-trades except that she took one night to summon a spirit, and could use it next night, but the ability could have 2 targets, like a mystery-double-jack-of-all-trades.
Caska's GF ability fit flavourfully, and the extra kill was given to make up for 4 members and only 3 killing members starting.
Only pope could not target Puck.

O I MADE A BOO-BOO ON THAT, GOAT.
edit: added the comma...
This seems like it was ripped straight from Hvirfilvnir's role pm from French mafia.
Not a criticism, I'm just curious.
Looked like an awesome game.
