Can you explain exactly why you are voting for AKid?
I thought it was entirely obvious - for an opportunistic jump on a soft target (or rather, what seemed at the time a soft target - I think, by now, Catalina is proving too tough for him to handle).
I also see now DD had a very good point about the contradiction between "overcautious much" and "random bandwagons are fail", and I endorse further pressure agains AK.
Ooo-weeee! I found my first scummy post of the thread. And it's a whopper. Poking a pretty wide blanket of players with negative comments, but not quite accusations, and placing the onus of these players through the asking of questions bound to put the players in the defensive mode.
vote: andelijah
Besides the fact that I like to poke players, using an example when I don't and claiming I do is hardly the best of evidence. Read the post again, and you'll find that all of it is directed at or is referring to Catalina.
It's the first one. See, I hate everyone, and my goal in life is to make everyone around me totally miserable. This is why I decided to end every post by meowing - I figured it would be the most efficient way of annoying everyone around me. And I see that it's working extremely well. So you see, I do think of other players! And seeing you this miserable fills my tiny little feline heart with ecstacy.
Or maybe you're exaggerating just a little and need to chill out? Is it really that annoying? I mean.. there's omgbrbflyintheroom
Fake Ninja Edit: Random troll is way better. Wish I'd have thought of it myself! (Or did I?..)
You are an ungodly blight upon the internet if you have never heard of or don't appriciate the work of the fine mortals at My Way entertainment. I may be forced to smite you for such insolence.
dood, don't **** with me. i can kick your immortal ass all over this website.
Catalina is obviously new, and you guys are fighting over semantics(her misintrepretation of the term OMGUS). I don't think that there is anything to the suspicion there.
A. In a random bandwagon, [b]I doubt a wagon will see votes over 4, and 4 is not dangerous.[b] I agree that you might have a suspect or two if the random voting bandwagon starts to get dangerous, but that's a COMPLETLY unrealistic situation. However, you were piling more votes on a wagon in progress in the random stage. I think you were number three maybe, and your comment was made to agitate people.
Clear contradiction here. If something is not dangerous, how can it be reckless? Ooh, that Catalina's sooooo scummy, she put another player in NO DANGER WHATSOEVER!
i do not think a random bandwagon is a bad thing either, in this game and in this stage of the game. in a random bandwagon you really won't get more then 4 votes at the begining and when you need 13 to lynch there really isn't anything to go crazy about. i think bigtime is pushing the whole catalina thing a little to far.

Um, how many votes do we have on AK? Because it looks like it is rapidly heading towards a near lynch and we might want to stop and think about it. I think it is seven right now but I'm not sure about that.

I see the contradiction you are pointing out, but it also seems like AK has at least partially explained the contradiction: "Putting a 2nd vote on somebody in the random phase is one thing, endorsing a bandwagon without reason is an entirely different action." That sentence of AK's seems to pretty clearly state that he views absolutionis's actions differently from catalina's. Now, obviously he needs to explain why he views those two actions (one a reluctance to vote and one an open bandwagon) with a different standard, but I'm nervous about the speed with which AK is gathering votes when he seems to have at least partially explained the cause of his actions. At least partially explaining the contradiction.
It seems like AK has made a distinction between starting a bandwagon with a 2nd vote and joining a bandwagon openly with a 3rd vote. An odd distinction to make, but not necessarily a contradiction.
I'd like to hear an explanation from AK before making up my mind.
What if AK gives the explanation you just provided for him?
I don't want AK to explain the contradiction, because he already did that ("Putting a 2nd vote on somebody in the random phase is one thing, endorsing a bandwagon without reason is an entirely different action."), but I want him to explain why "endorsing a bandwagon without reason is an entirely different action."

I'm pretty sure that AK is scum regardless of the explanation he gives, frankly. His earlier attitude towards Catalina was completely and utterly predatory, with no sense of 'might be a townie' behind it. I mean, many of the people arguing with Catalina were doing so in at least an attempt to inform. AK thought that he detected weakness and pounced.

Interesting how that works... "random" bandwagons are fail... but absolutionis was being too cautious about placing a 2nd vote?
So Catalina was bandwagoning with no good reason. But Abso was too cautious for not placing a second vote because it was a random bandwagon, not a serious one? Interesting then that you called Catalina out for "random bandwagoning." Unvote, Vote AKid
Like, I already said, and godchild brought up, the difference was in 2nd vote vs. endorsing a random bandwagon. Abso, in my opinion, was being too cautious, so I prodded him on it. However, catalina wanted a reasonless bandwagon, which I consider an entirely different situation.
This whole debate flared up too much, with BT's epic tl; dr posts, and then a flurry of votes on me while I was out playing magic.
Somebody asked my opinions on Abso and Catalina
I don't have much of an opinion yet on abso-my prodding of a post doesn't mean I consider him obv scum obv
Catalina is probably town, and BT, myself, and her got caught up in a huge argument over her poor play. Unvote.
I skimmed the content since I left-I need a more thorough read tomorrow.
We live in a country were ~50% of the populace believe public schooling is a socialist conspiracy and that being called Einstein is an insult. We could try and fix it, but unfortunately the other 50% don't believe in euthanasia.
Whoa there! There are FAR too many votes on AKid, especially this early out of the random phase, as well as without any asks to claim. FOS: TFF and major FOS: Booter. AKid has a few points against him, obviously, but he's in no way confirmed obvscum. The amount of votes quickly piled is disturbing. Especially when ALL of them were made before he could respond.
I agree with you wholeheartedly that ApokalypseKid's wagon grew quickly.
However, why do you seem so concerned that you have to step up and speak in his place?
I thought the bandwagon was gathering speed at a dangerous rate: I perceived a risk that AK might be lynched without thorough discussion. I stepped up in his place, if you want to put it that way, because I wasn't sure if AK was going to show up before the bandwagon gained too much steam to be stopped.

Abso was being too cautious - but you don't have much of an opinion about abso yet - does abso being cautious not allow you to form an opinion of him? why bother prodding him about it if you aren't trying to form an opinion of him?

You said Cat's Bandwagon FTW was scummy because it gives scum a "good excuse" to get a person close to lynching. Really? "Two people are voting ____, and one of them said Bandwagon FTW!" is a good excuse for putting a player in danger?
Her vote gives exactly as much "good reason" to vote someone as Abso's would have: none.

So, what do you think of BT? You stated a fact, not your opinion.
I may have overreacted, as I have stated before, but that's because I get tunnle vision when I get on somebody. Also, there were reasons in there to vote her. It's not like she was completly innocent AND THEN I started attacking her. She made small scummy posts that escalated from there, and I got involved.
Everything's good now though.

Also, why would anyone ask AKid to claim when he was at 7/13?
Finally, why do you note that AK has legitimate points against him but in the same breath condemn his wagon and FoS + vote those attacking him?
I thought the bandwagon was gathering speed at a dangerous rate: I perceived a risk that AK might be lynched without thorough discussion. I stepped up in his place, if you want to put it that way, because I wasn't sure if AK was going to show up before the bandwagon gained too much steam to be stopped.

Booter's reason for voting is identical to TFF's right in front of him.

Feel free to correct me.
As for my opinion on Abso, I was writing that post at 1 in the morning, and I need to rethink my opinions.

You agreed with little more than an FOS.
The action was different, but the intention is still there.

I did exactly that.
On second glance, both their explanations are disturbingly similar to one another:
Nevertheless, ApokalypseKid did explain his actions in three different posts. Perhaps you mean you want him to elaborate more. In that case, specify what specifically bugs you.
