I love Joboman, Poggy, Niv, and Vezok, because, while they may not be the best players, they still try to win. Having fun is the most important thing to a game, but I've learned that if you don't try to win, then you're ruining everyone else's fun.
That was when I started to walk. My prime is now. I remembered being in awe of you in that game and was hoping the other scum team killed you off ASAP, so you wouldn't sniff me out. Oh, how naive I was then, to fear you so.
I didn't say suspicious. The eyebrow was emphasizing my confusion; given that you gave a reason that under non-random circumstanced could be a valid reason for a vote, and not phrased in an obviously humerous way, I was puzzled as to whether your vote was, in fact, serious.

<-----Confused smilie.
:confused2:<-----Another confused smile.
:eyebrow:<-----Denotes suspicion. Does not emphasize confusion.
I've seen Jodo (and others) not vote in random phase before. I prefer it if folks do, or failing that if some interesting thing happens. So far nothing interesting has happened. Jodo posted three times without doing/saying anything interesting or voting, so I thought I'd call him on it to see what would happen.
It's not that I thought Jodo was more likely to be scum than anyone else for his behavior, but I was curious to see how he would react to it. I wasn't getting anything from him any other way.
I both love and hate the random phase of mafia. I love it because it reminds me of posting on 'tings (but tamer). I hate it because the game hasn't really started until we're out of it. So I'm pushing things in that direction.
I don't get that. How are the options different if he is scum?
Option 1 he could be either alignment. If he's confused about the seriousness of the vote, he's confused.
Option 2 assumes he's actually suspicious, not casting aspersions. Townies grow suspicous. Scum frame things as suspicious. The way you've phrased your second option assumes he's town.

I think it's odd how you base a vote off of smilies then jump all over skander over a syntax question. Do you really think Skanders grammar is going to lead to him being scum?
In your last couple posts you've cast some suspicion on three people, and I don't really like that.
vote: Pale Mage.

Again, it's the mindset. He hasn't left room for Eco to be scum.

What do you think I'm saying with Option 2? That he is not deserving of suspicion? No, that was Option 1. I was pointing out the two likely options here 1 of which his reaction is genuine confusion and the other where he has ulterior motives and thus deserving suspicion. To which I asked the question: Which do you think is more likely to be the case.
Option 2 as Eco being suspicious of you from a townie perspective makes no sense. I would think you were deliberately misinterpreting me but apparently you are no the only one who thinks that way.

If you are referring to me there, I was joking. It is pretty clear what you were trying to say with option 2, though PM getting you to explain it wasn't a bad thing.

That's what I would want to see, but it doesn't read that way.

2) Eco was suspicious of you for unknown reasons and is now denying being suspicious of you.
Was suspicious implies actually being suspicious, and not framing an action as such. Hence my reaction.

The way you wrote it it's the only way it makes sense. I'll grant this could be a case of poor writing. We shall see what the future holds.
I don't think this is an honest answer. For one, the way you attacked his stance seemed like you thought it to be real and not a joke, and secondly, why wouldn't you take the 3 seconds to research it before placing the FoS if you actually were unsure as to whether or not he was joking?
Okay, lets start with Skander....his reaction can make sense in the town mindset.....if Skander is town, he's speculating two reasons that a player would use that smilie. Yes he's omitted the 3rd reason (Player X might be trying to fake suspicion on pale mage by using that smilie) but that seems like a kind of prepostorous thing to even have to mention here. Seriously.
And Skander's first possibility, which strikes me as most likely by far, allows for the other player to be town OR scum.
Quite a bit of reaching here, though pale mage's attitude toward the random makes that make a little sense (tings is bad, mkay?).
Re: SSB, If he had voted TFF there'd be no issue here. But the FoS is indeed a bit weird (incidentally, it seems obvious to me that TFF is joking). Would like to see some follow up on this.

It's an honest answer. I didn't "attack" his stance. I just wanted to correct that it wasn't a defense.
I'm still unsure of whether or not it was a joke. I took more than 3 seconds to "research" it.
I placed an FoS because I found it to be suspicious.
I don't see why an FoS is suspicious but a vote isn't. I consider a vote far more serious. An FoS = I found it suspicious, but not to the extent where I feel a need to vote.
Because the idea is that your want to raise suspicions without commiting to a vote. Therefore when someone is voted to death and flips town you can say "hey I didn't vote for him/start the wagon"

If you considered it serious, you'd vote.
If you didn't consider it serious, usually you ASK if that person is being serious, rather than accuse them of reaching and FoS them.
The fact that you FOSed and then claimed uncertainty is bizarre....
Unrandom vote btw

My bad, I thought post 103 was you admitting that it was a joke rather than correcting the typo in your previous post.
Why did you FoS TFF rather than question him as to whether or not he was joking first? Hypothetically, if it was obvious that TFF was serious, would you have voted him instead?
Why isn't it a defense, and why are you worried about being viewed as having defended Skander?

I'm not worried about it being viewed as having defended Skander: I just didn't want my actions to be interpreted in the way I meant for them. It isn't a defense, I just questioned whether or not this is considered semantics.
I just realized the post does come off that way. My apologies.
I'm not suspicious about whether or not he was joking, I'm suspicious that he made such an action in the first place. If TFF was serious, then yes, perhaps I would have voted for him.

Not in the sense that normally means.
Sorry?

You should be.
Why the eyebrow?
I was confused, since the seriousness of your vote was ambiguous.
That explains the question, but not the eyebrow.
Why did you find my vote suspicious?
I didn't say suspicious. The eyebrow was emphasizing my confusion; given that you gave a reason that under non-random circumstanced could be a valid reason for a vote, and not phrased in an obviously humerous way, I was puzzled as to whether your vote was, in fact, serious.

Pale Mage: 2 options here
1) Eco was confused about your vote, and mistook that smiley for a confused smiley.
2) Eco was suspicious of you for unknown reasons and is now denying being suspicious of you.
Which makes more sense to you?
Your options seem to assume Eco is town. Why is that Skander?

Semantics?
Poking, not reaching.
No. Mindset.
Vote Skander PM is right, he is clearly scum.
FOS: kpaca and SSB for defending the scum.
On a more serious note, I think Eco's eyebrow smile is fine for expressing confusion.
In your last couple posts you've cast some suspicion on three people, and I don't really like that.

What Skander originally said made perfect sense to me.
I see the difference.
Unvote. Agreed, Eco's eyebrow smile seems questioning.
FoS TheFooFish: It wasn't a defense. A bit quick to grab there.
Why only a FoS and not a vote?
I'm still unsure of whether or not is was a joke.

Of this whole exchange, no one really comes off as particularly scummy, except for maybe kpaca, and that probably isn't enough to bother with.
