It refers to an incomplete game. We haven't seen eye-to-eye in the past.
aah, I thought you ment you had role related information as to why someone without a Zeppelin song as a role name was scum.

Vote: ChrisXIV because he can't even spell his own name right.
@Seppel: Scarily, you're not the first person who's made that remark about subliminally adding an "e" into what used to be my screen name. (Disrupt_Your_Hymn)
On a more serious note, I am not a song by Led Zeppelin in case this matters to anyone.
Are you a Yardbirds song? Because before they were Led Zepp they were the Yardbirds, then John "Bonzo" Bonham joined on Drums and they were Led Zepplin.

Sarnathing ftw!!!!!! I see mmod may be thinking the same. I find that when he agrees with me he is usually townie. Better write that down in mah notebook.

Well personally, if I got serious voted for random voting myself my reaction would be "lolwat are you serious, that is fricking ridiculous", which you did but only to an extent. What threw me off was the part where you unvoted and said what to me read as "well it's strange being voted for cause I noticed my name was misspelled, but I'll unvote so it will get you to not pay any more attention to me"

I unvoted because random is over now. I thought that was obvious, but apparently I was wrong.:-/
What I find odd and contradictory to this statement is this:
I guess you must be.
Unvote
Still, to be accused of noticing details is a bit...strange.
This to me reads as:
Well since you're seriously voting for me
unvote, since that's the reason you're voting for me
Say it's strange that I'm being voted for, so that I don't support my own wagon, but at the same time agree with your analysis tacitly so as to gain townine points with you

kpaca's right. Forget about the unvote bit which I actually read as being an unvote from random stage but the rest is correct - wrong reaction to the initial vote as well as avoiding confronting DYH by using the word "strange" which implies that although the attack is wrong the attacker is good.
Also the use of the eyebrow smiley in there bothers me for some reason.
Intersting. A seemingly-baseless vote by PM, and Chris immediately assumes it's serious and goes on the defensive.
I think it's strange to be attacked because of noticing that the mod didn't write my name correctly."
The initial vote was strange for sure. But not stranger than most other votes handed out in this thread for the last day. You, however, assume it's an attack. Why? Give me a good answer, or I'll vote you for real.
Also, PM: I believe I know what the 3rd thing is. What do I win?
Also, what analysis? "He's reading the thread, he must be scum!"...?
Correction: Reading the player list. Multiple times. And using the mod mistake as an invitation not to participate by voting for yourself twice. Once is funny and random. Twice is avoidance.
What was there to avoid concerning DYH's post? I only didn't answer it because random was over and it didn't feel right to answer it this late.
I don't understand what you mean here.
How would you call it, if not strange?(This is a confusion smiley.)
If you thought it was a serious vote then probably scummy.
The eyebrow smiley symbolises my first reaction to Pale Mage's post. I raised an eyebrow.
No, I got that. It just bothers me. Maybe because it doesn't really fit your train of thought. You say "R U srs" and raise an eyebrow implying that it was unlikely the attack was serious but then immediatley after assume that the attack was serious. So then why were you raising an eyebrow?
The second part of this post("Worse...") is maybe not quite serious. But the first part definitely is and putting a third vote on someone during random is one of the actions where I always get serious.
Third vote in a game this size is reason to get serious? (I don't find that logic scummy, but I'm curious why you feel that way).
Also, why did you assume I was serious instead of letting me answer for myself if you weren't certain?
Correction: Reading the player list. Multiple times. And using the mod mistake as an invitation not to participate by voting for yourself twice. Once is funny and random. Twice is avoidance.
Several other people voted themselves during the random stage, and a few others made the same votes twice. Why is Chris special here?
Several other people voted themselves during the random stage, and a few others made the same votes twice. Why is Chris special here?
Two reasons. He voted for himself twice. He voted himself over a misspelling, which tells me he was looking over the player list. It's nothing solid, but worth a jab to see what happens.
Bonus points if you can tell me why looking over the player list is a possible tell.
You accuse me of avoiding confronting DYH and I don't think I did.
You chose a word usage that wasn't confrontational.
Why would I think that a serious vote is scummy? Normally there is reasoning behind a vote, so I don't automatically assume it is scummy.
But did you see any reasoning? This is the same problem as taking PM's accusation seriously. You automatically assume PM is serious and has a valid argument against you even though you can't see it.
In my culture(Austria) raising an eyebrow means that one is thinking about what is going on.
Ok. I was looking at the eybrow raise as one of suspicion.
PM: So you were serious, interesting. Now that you ask about looking over the player list I suppose I can sort of see a reason why it might be scummy but it's not really that great of a reason...
Now that you ask about looking over the player list I suppose I can sort of see a reason why it might be scummy but it's not really that great of a reason...
Do you actually believe said reason, or are you just making it up because Pale Mage asked?
Do you actually believe said reason, or are you just making it up because Pale Mage asked?
Exactly. After PM said that I tried to figure out what he could be talking about and came up with something that seemed sort of possible. Had PM not said anything I never would have thought of it.
Didn't notice that MJM had misspelled Chris' name; I thought he just typoed it. That said, it explains his self-vote and post(s) a little bit more. It doesn't really explain the ensuing posts, though.
I assume what PM is getting at with the "reviewing the list" comment is that scum would review it for big-name targets. Players scour the list for different reasons, though, regardless of alignment so I'm not putting much stock in that.
I only recall Chris' play from Amistarian; I'm curious to look through some of his other games.
'Tis, actually. More accurately, it depends on why one was reading it. Scum have more reason to look over the player list than town (although everyone has reason to know who else is in the game). There's a solid tell involved that Chris has not commited. What we've got is something minor. There's no evidence he looked any further than his own name in the player list to place a random vote (which is fine until he sticks with it). After that, he's just refusing to create a voting record of any kind, even a random one. For example, he doesn't even vote the mod (the guy misspelling his name) even though he can.
PM: So you were serious, interesting. Now that you ask about looking over the player list I suppose I can sort of see a reason why it might be scummy but it's not really that great of a reason...
I've said it isn't solid already. You care because...?
Does it feel like he's trying to hard? I'm trying to pin down exactly what it is that's bothering me, but it's there.
What's bothering me the most is he voted Chris on the basis of his reaction to my vote, but now he's interested in my reasoning for the vote. If his suspicion of Chris is honest and based on his reactions, wtf does my attack matter in the slightest?

Really? Are you kidding me? Chris' reaction was scummy. But then suddenly it turns out you actually were serious with something that I had assumed was a random vote. This changes things. When I thought it was a random vote I was fine with it but as a serious vote it's a bad reason to vote someone.

If so, can you quantify for me how the reaction is "wrong"?

It was gaming the mod and fishing. A two for one
Possibly three for one, but we won't know that until later. And the hidden third one is the most important.
Depriving me of information is bad. Shame on you.
Worse, he was looking over the player list closely enough to catch the misspelling of his own name.

This. I have yet to see anything scummy from ChisXIV.
As for reading the player lists, I do that in order to find a "reason" for random voting. Like voting keeperofzion for keeping zion from us.
Other things I noticed:
Many thanks to Sgt. Chubbz of Damnation studios.
THIS IS NOT THE SKANDER I REMEMBER

Sure you did.
No. What reasoning did you see?
Because it's a shaky reason to vote for someone.

I must be missing something here
