Wuffles, why does it seem like your the only person running a smear campaign on Cyan at this point?
Cyan has enough history to where quite a few people here could pick out him acting out of the norm....
The ragged man, his hands held downward, scampers up to Macius.
"Because, master, this one has been around a whole lot longer than most anyone here in this game. This one remembers things which others may not. If this one can do anything to help its masters in any way, it will do so."
The ragged man bows and withdraws.
[OOC]Because, Macius, I doubt anyone else would remember the smackdown that scumcyan in that game did, and, quite frankly, this reeks of the same opportunism. After stating publicly that he didn't think Iso should give any more role information, he...gives out role information of his own. It feels like he's riding our coattails just like he rode the cop-based setup in TV mafia, all those years ago. And Cyan does not change his stripes or playstyle, just like I can't, even though we have both tried many times to do so.[/OOC]

Read the timestamp. It was at 3:30am. I don't even recall anything past 2am except playing Diablo 3 and drinking. I must have come on here and voted then.
But if the vote count is correct, it seems to have stuck on arcadic. I feel I should play with it a bit to figure it out.
Unvote, vote Niv
So your saying you don't remember what you were down with that had you vote Iso? Do you drunk post typically?

"A loss is a loss is a loss. You can lose the Superbowl by one point or by twenty, but at the end of the day you are still not coming home with Lombardi.
"The fact you even seem to have this sort of idea, this early even, does not bode well in my eyes. I am not sure you are scum, though my gut says it's most likely, but you are definitely not town."
Knowing that he has drawn attention to himself, Cyan becomes very guarded. He carefully looks at everyone, trying to decide whether or not they are members of the conspiracy. Ultimately, he pushes up his glasses and address several of them individually.
To Wuffles, Cyan says: "I have clearly been exhibiting the same character since my first statement of this game."
He then turns to tordeck, and immediately shows visible agitation. "You sir, are not a nice man. It has shown in everything that you've said thus far. It does not matter that Iso was close to being executed, because his wagon is completely and utterly awful. There was no basis for it, and his behavior is nothing like his scum behavior in the past(even the extremely recent past). You also fished for information from EP, and your explanation for doing so was entirely lacking. You refused to provide reasonable answers for this despite multiple attempts on my part. And now, you are just trying to duck all of this by saying that I haven't made any points. But I plainly have. Even others have seen them."
Finally, he rounds on Zionite. "If you backpedaled any further you would fall over. Are you one of THEM? ANSWER ME!"
So now we know why Iso proposed the claim. Glad to see I was right in the pro-self agenda. I don't think Iso is of any concern.
That being said, though, @Iso: What was the mindset in revealing your triplevote? And do you think EP is a threat (unless you've stated your reasoning for voting him, and I've just missed it)?
@TCM: Doesn't your point about mafia hiding in town/town attacking neutrals strike you as WIFOM?
Bull****. You know damn well that I swore to never allow another D1 mass claim after the **** you pulled in WoW. It ruins games and sucks the fun out of them. Mafia is about behavioral analysis not gaming the mod or the setup.
he is at l-4. he has already claimed his alignment and his ability. beside flavor the only thing left is wincon. and why waste all our time by holding out till l-2.
I agree with the first portion of this, having been on the receiving end of said massclaim. The second paragraph seems bloodthirsty and/or not thinking things all the way through. Why lynch a neutral on Day 1 that doesn't have an agenda against the home team?
@PB: You and I have much different ideas of fluff.

I figured if I was going to have to claim it'd be easier after I had proven it. And I'm voting for E_P because I'm electing him.

Hey Wuffs, do you happen to work for a man named Dr. Frakenstein, by chance?
The man in rags saunters up to Iso.
"You called, Master? Who the frak is Dr. Frakenstein? "
He s******s a wheezing s******.
"Forgive this one's pathetic attempt at a joke, mashter. I may have sherved the professhor in a pasht life, but now, I work tirelessly, through the night for whichever mashter I please. Thish one may not be worthy of such an honor of choosing his masters, but for whatever reason, that ish the case. I live to serve, master, but who I serve is my choice, and mine alone!"
The man in rags grins a smile full of yellow teeth and rusty fillings as he scampers off.
[OOC] @ Cyan - Whatever, mate. Fool me once...etc. I have my eye very, very carefully on you this game. One thing I know you to be is a creature of habit. If it works once, you'll try it again. I'm sure that game isn't the first/last time you've profited greatly as scum falseclaiming really early in the game - this is just the one that I remember as the most relevant. Because I was one of your victims. Whatever. IGMEOY.[/OOC]
"With his claim Iso's play makes a lot more sense. But given his play I feel that is probably best that he should be ignored."
I feel like Iso should be ignored most of the time anyway, but especially when he comes up with really bad plans.
I'm always keen for an Iso lynch, since I hate his incredibly spammy playstyle and often completely ridiculous plans, but that being said, I really don't like how many votes he's accrued so quickly.
I already did in this post. Unless you meant the drunk-posting thing, which yes, does happen.
This isn't a case of backpedaling as Cyan suggested for at least two reasons. One, I didn't even remember I voted for Iso in the first place. Two, there's plenty of reason not to vote Iso after learning he has three votes and is a neutral. I'd be guilty of backpedaling if nothing had been revealed between my vote and my unvote that would change my mind. Unless Cyan has a different definition of backpedaling, that makes the most sense to me.
However, I'm kind of curious to see where this goes. It could be worth it to find out. Vote Emo_Piñata
thats a new one for me. care to explain what it means?
Cyan pulls himself away from his piles of paperwork long enough to look at tordeck and say, "That is a great job of addressing the one point against you that matters the absolute least."
He looks at the rest of the group and wonders aloud, "Why aren't the rest of you paying attention to what is going on here? tordeck is getting scummier with practically every post."
Cyan looks on Zionite with disdain. "You first told us that you were drunk or tired or both and because of that you didn't even remember voting Iso. Then you come back and say 'oh wait looking back I remember thinking that Guardman's post made alot of sense'. That is pretty much the definition of a backpedal. Your continued attempts to paint it as anything but reflect very poorly on you indeed."
With that, Cyan turns to walk away. As he passes KittyCupCake, he looks at him somberly and asks, "Do you know what really happened to JFK? Because I do. And that coverup is nothing like what is going on here, my good sir."

That makes no sense though. Think about it: You forget where you put your keys. Then you find them, and at that exact same moment you remember why you left them there. I forgot where I put my vote. Then I find it, and at that exact same moment I remember why I left it there.
The second paragraph seems bloodthirsty and/or not thinking things all the way through. Why lynch a neutral on Day 1 that doesn't have an agenda against the home team?
How would tordeck know whether or not Iso's win condition conflicted with the town's or not at that point in time?
Bull****. You know damn well that I swore to never allow another D1 mass claim after the **** you pulled in WoW. It ruins games and sucks the fun out of them. Mafia is about behavioral analysis not gaming the mod or the setup.
Remind me. You were scum in that game, were you not?
he is at l-4. he has already claimed his alignment and his ability. beside flavor the only thing left is wincon. and why waste all our time by holding out till l-2.
Let's see. At that point, he was at L-5 thanks to my unvote. If you're using how close he is to being lynched as a "reason" for him to claim, then that's terrible.
You're also arguing that Iso would be rushed to L-2, when progress towards that was unlikely after his claim of neutral. For reference, how many people voted Iso after his neutral claim?
Also, you seem to be ignoring all the points Cyan brought up in #121.
I mean, I'm sure it'll be a few Days before all of the Neutrals have their win cons completed, but as long as I survive, mine seems relatively easy to achieve. I just have to keep guessing until I get it right.
So that's yours. Why would you think that's true of everyone else's, though?
Let's take another Xyre game for comparison. Guardman's role in Asphodel Meadows, for example, was town that pretty much a neutral. He only completed it on the last day, with the lynch (sort of) of the last scum.
[OOC]I would like to say here that Cyan has a tendancy to do this - always watch out for him when he claims early. ALWAYS. I'll find the last game where he counterclaimed cop as scum when it became obvious that there were multiple cops. He rode that till the end of the game. WATCH OUT FOR HIM.[/OOC]
Alright. I'd like to bring up the counterpoint that he claimed investigative role on D1 of Cyberpunk Mafia recently, unprompted. If it needs to be said, he was town. How does that change your evaluation of him?
I was. But I'll have you look at the post game. And see that my disdain for D1 massclaims is not indicative of my alignment.
I was basing my assumption of him at l-4 on Xyre's vote count. I had not caught that it was messed up until Zion pointed it out later. The difference from l-4 and l-2 is 2 votes. in a game with 20+ players, 2 votes is a drop in the bucket. I was also as I explained using that as a means of checking for certain tells.
And I did answer Cyan's points from the post you linked to.
However, I'm kind of curious to see where this goes. It could be worth it to find out. Vote Emo_Piñata
"In a game with neutrals, especially with the shutdown option, I would prefer not to see where this goes." Guardman walks away. "Damn crazies. I remember a simpler time where I would've just taken their soul. I miss those days."
@PB: You and I have much different ideas of fluff.
Define, in your opinion, what a fluff post is.
Oh and my question to Zion was (1) I don't remember him drunk posting in the last game together (2) he could be lying about drunk posting.
What was the point of asking Iso if he would work with the town?
I find myself agreeing with what Cyan's said so far.
I was thinking about that.
@Tordeck: I asked you a few questions I have not seen an answer for. My questions:
That was going off of the assumption that there are 5+ Neutrals. If the mafia just targets the town, the Neutrals will be able to shutdown if it's just them (or mostly them) left.

@Cyouni: I don't think anti-town Iso would've just thrown that triplevote on the table (I also don't think that anyone with a triplevote just slams that down, but that's just personal playstyle), so it seemed something that was able to be inferred.
@PB: I think fluff is a post that has no bearing on the game. The first ~60 posts in this game were fluff, for example, save Cyan's posts re: Tordeck. Just RVS nonsense that were people having fun before finally setting their bearings on the game.
I disagree with your assessment that my posts were fluff. I wanted to see Iso's intentions after displaying his triplevote, and drawing my own conclusion that he had an AWC at the time. And I don't see how my making an opinion known on the massclaim issue could be construed as fluff, regardless of if it's similar to other people's perspective/opinion.
I agreed with Cyan on Iso not being a concern & massclaim thoughts on #79, and the way Tordeck asked for Iso's wincon in #121. Needless to say, I agree with the backpedaling bit as well.
How does Zionite's answer suit you re: forgetting & drunk posting? I do agree with your point re: Zionite's EP vote.
I think E_P is also a Neutral and that his win condition is "getting elected", or rather, obtaining majority vote. Which is a little silly, but I'm willing to help him out with his win con (if that's what it is) to further my own.

What if he's some type of weird role where if we "elect him", then the game is over?
No - that would make him an anti-town Neutral. The only ways the game can end are by the town, mafia, or SK fulfilling their win condition, or through a Shutdown. Same reason why Guardman shot down the possibility of a cult. (Though I think one is entirely possible, just not in the traditional cult sense - as in, they don't end the game when they have majority, but rather, have to survive to the end with it. Until I research his game, it's filed under unknown right now. Have you ever played a game with Cyan before?(actually now that I think about it I know for a fact you have) For me this is at least number 4 (that i can remember us both being in). I don't have to tell people that Cyan is a bulldog. Everyone knows that by now. He picks a target, regardless of whether its the right one or not, an rides them until then are lynched. This works because too many players lap up what he says like he is God's gift to Mafia. Right now Cyan is doing what he always does. And while I was fine humoring him in the RVS, now that that is over I am not going to stand by and take his ****. He wants to come at me then he better have some damn good points. And I don't mean something along the lines false counter claiming the real town doc and causing an utter blowout scum victory. (Kitty, you should remember what I am talking about here)

Cyan shoots tordeck a look of sheer indignance. "I will not have you impugn my honor, sir. I will have you know that I am an expert in the field of government cover ups."
"What's that? You say that you were not talking about that, but about how I think you are a villain?"
Cyan purses his lips. "In that case, if you don't want people to think of you as a villain, then I suggest that you not act like one. And falling back on lines like 'Cyan is just a bulldog' and pointing out mistakes that I have made in the past are sheer signs of villainy. Townies prove why they are not scum, while scum attack their accusers. Particularly, they point out things like 'false counter-claiming the real town Doc and causing an utter blowout scum victory'. It is plain enough to see what you are doing here. You are a villain, sir, through and through. Just like J Edgar Hoover!" With that, Cyan sniffs, squares his shoulders, and storms off.
[Out of Character]: And I false counter-claimed TFF as Doc in Highlander because it did not actually matter to me whether or not he was the Doc. If I was wrong got lynched, I would just go from being town to SK anyway, so there was no real penalty for me.
I was. But I'll have you look at the post game. And see that my disdain for D1 massclaims is not indicative of my alignment.
Ah, but here you go and argue that mass neutral/non-neutral claim is the same as massclaim. It's clearly not, and yet you're trying to misrepresent it as one.
I was basing my assumption of him at l-4 on Xyre's vote count. I had not caught that it was messed up until Zion pointed it out later. Barely even looking, I can tell that three of those are from the RVS. As well, you're more than experienced enough to know that "he's close to L-2" is a terrible reason for claiming, especially when three of those votes are RVS.
You were wanting to know Iso's win condition not based off the fact that the town would want to know, but simply because he "was close to L-2". That's a scum mentality. Vote tordeck

And I don't think E_P will die if we "lynch" him. Xyre said that a Neutral must be alive when the game ends to win. So no, he's not a Jester.
I think it's simpler than that. I don't think E_P needs a majority vote at any one time. I think he needs some number of people (majority? all?) to have voted him at some point. I base this on:

The ragged man bows and withdraws.
[OOC]Because, Macius, I doubt anyone else would remember the smackdown that scumcyan in that game did, and, quite frankly, this reeks of the same opportunism. After stating publicly that he didn't think Iso should give any more role information, he...gives out role information of his own. It feels like he's riding our coattails just like he rode the cop-based setup in TV mafia, all those years ago. And Cyan does not change his stripes or playstyle, just like I can't, even though we have both tried many times to do so.[/OOC]

I thought his place on the VC was weird. I don't remember a self vote.
Now looking back, I remember thinking Guardman's post before made a lot of sense.
This is also before we knew he was a neutral.

Vote Count
(11 to lynch or shutdown)
Iso - 4 (Macius, Arcadic, Wrath_of_DoG, The Cold Monarch)
ganderin_dan - 2 (Wuffles_II, pinkys_brain)
Emo_Pinata - 3 (Iso, Iso, Iso)
Niv - 2 (Niv, Zionite)
tordeck - 2 (Cyan, KittyCupCake)
Shutdown - 0
Experiments Series: #5 (Courtly Intrigue Mafia) | #4 (Drunken Tracker) | #3 (Big Red Button) - coming soon | #2 (Pope Mafia) | #1 (Iso's Inflammable Mafia)

Old Games (bad): The Greenwood Affair | Blood Moon Mafia
ANSWER ME!"
No Cyan, it isn't backpedaling for a lot of reasons.
If he looks like he's about to fall over, I doubt it's from backpedaling.
I agree with the first portion of this, having been on the receiving end of said massclaim. The second paragraph seems bloodthirsty and/or not thinking things all the way through. Why lynch a neutral on Day 1 that doesn't have an agenda against the home team?
@PB: You and I have much different ideas of fluff.
@Zionite: Answer this, please?
Also, care to explain this?

I find myself agreeing with what Cyan's said so far.
I figured if I was going to have to claim it'd be easier after I had proven it. And I'm voting for E_P because I'm electing him.

I'm always keen for an Iso lynch, since I hate his incredibly spammy playstyle and often completely ridiculous plans, but that being said, I really don't like how many votes he's accrued so quickly.
Unvote.
Hey Cyan, was the Holocaust a cover-up for aliens landing in Germany?

That makes no sense though. Think about it: You forget where you put your keys. Then you find them, and at that exact same moment you remember why you left them there. I forgot where I put my vote. Then I find it, and at that exact same moment I remember why I left it there.
This is seriously your reasoning for a vote? Do you have an explanation beyond "curious"?
Remind me. You were scum in that game, were you not?
Why is that?
So that's yours. Why would you think that's true of everyone else's, though?
Let's take another Xyre game for comparison. Guardman's role in Asphodel Meadows, for example, was town that pretty much a neutral. He only completed it on the last day, with the lynch (sort of) of the last scum.
Alright. I'd like to bring up the counterpoint that he claimed investigative role on D1 of Cyberpunk Mafia recently, unprompted. If it needs to be said, he was town. How does that change your evaluation of him?
You people and your awesome posts.
The Family
"In a game with neutrals, especially with the shutdown option, I would prefer not to see where this goes." Guardman walks away. "Damn crazies. I remember a simpler time where I would've just taken their soul. I miss those days."
Define, in your opinion, what a fluff post is.
Oh and my question to Zion was (1) I don't remember him drunk posting in the last game together (2) he could be lying about drunk posting.
What was the point of asking Iso if he would work with the town?
What parts did you agree with and why?
Why is it worth finding out?
This reads as fishing vote then scum hunting.
I was thinking about that.
@Tordeck: I asked you a few questions I have not seen an answer for. My questions:
mafia win/lose record
town (12) 6/6
mafia (2) 2/0
Cult (1) 1/0
3rd party (0) 0/0
mafia record
Also known at mafiascum as farside22
unvote Time to read more about what's gone on so far. Glad to see you haven't changed your tactics, Iso. <3
That was going off of the assumption that there are 5+ Neutrals. If the mafia just targets the town, the Neutrals will be able to shutdown if it's just them (or mostly them) left.
Why do I think what's true of everyone else's? I'm not sure I understand the comparison to Guardman's role in Asphodel.
What tells were you looking for? From who? Did you find what you were looking for? Why or why not?
:o?

@Tordeck: Appeal to Emotion.
@Cyan: /barn. KCC prefers to be referred to as she, fyi.

Fluff: posting pointless comments that have been made in the game already or if you would rather, vomiting others opinion and asking pointless questions.
You really think a player that is claiming neutral is really going to say no to that question you asked? (the one where you asked if Iso would help the town). The second is that you were saying I was going to start off with a subject of mass claim, but I don't think it's a good idea just reads as fluff. Plus you commented on nothing else in the game (including the wagon on Iso at the time).
In short barning.
Until I research his game, it's filed under unknown right now. I find it hard to believe people forget things considering how much I do in one day in RL, being in multiple games and making notes and still know where I'm at and what is going on in said game, but I know it happens. Ahh, but you are wrong. That was not an AtE. That was me showing that Cyan to that point had not provided any real content.
