What the dead Azzyrian strike force leader hadn't counted on, however, was Syra's strong hand and guiding influence to restore order so quickly. In many ways, Vincent's death was a boon to Amistar. The Loops were destroyed and the people had free will and a want to live again. It is a brisk autumn day. Rising early, you can hear the birds chirping, and the wind gently blowing through the tall grass near your camp. You are a member of King Malric's consort headed to meet the Amistarian contingent in Damalar. Most of you are not prepared for the sight that greets you as you exit your tent - King Malric's head impaled on a spear driven into the ground. Written in the dirt at the foot of the spear are the words "Traitor. Amistar must fall."
It seems some contingent among you does not desire this peace to happen. "Who are they?" is the question you must answer.
Amistarian III is a game for 16 players. It was reviewed by Ged and ganderin_dan. (Thanks, guys; you are awesome!)
It features the burnout mechanic.
The story arc continues - the events that occur in this game will shape the history of Amistar. Will Syra be greeted by a peaceful contingent of Azzyrians when she reaches Damalar? Or will a treachery be afoot?
This is your one and only warning.
PM formatting conversation is strictly prohibited.
(This pertains to color, text, sentence structure, etc. Anything that is not in-game related.)
I copied/pasted the PM information from an outside document, so while the structure should be consistent from PM to PM, I'd really rather the game not devolve into "was your PM written by a nine year old girl?" in the event it isn't.
Failure to adhere to this rule will get you replaced or modkilled.
"So what can I say?" you ask?
You may state your ability name(s), role name, and role description (i.e. Bob, Town Vanilla, no abilities) verbatim.
Sixteen quiet people stared at the scene before them. Suddenly swords and staves were brandished. Hands raised in preparation to cast a spell. Each person eying the others warily.
"Halt!" one of the voices cried out. "We should find a reasonable way to solve this."
"Concur."
Many others nodded their head in agreement.
"How do you propose we do that?" sneered someone in the back.
The first continued, "A jury. We will meet every day until this threat has been eliminated. We vote and put to death whomever has the most at sunset."
"Drastic, but appropriate."
The nodding of heads continued throughout the group.
"It's settled, then."
It was decided. This is how the traitors would be stopped.
I'm pretty sure that I'm a Miller. My role PM has some flavor clues that made me feel like this might be the case, and when I asked DYH, he said that he can't confirm or deny whether or not it's true.

Why are you claiming if you're not sure?
Why are you claiming that you're not sure?
I went and had dinner at Macaroni Grill and thought about it and I am willing to give Cyan the benefit of the doubt on the whole miller thing. Miller's should come clean in the first post even if it is only suspected.
I am more concerned about the reactions and quick votes on him (except for kpaca's which I expected).
But more than that I don't like AE's questioning and voting so far.
AE why did you pick kpaca rather than Zionite or Seppel. Especially since you in your post make reference to wanting to vig Cyan and that you seem to have a problem with Zionites vote and him calling it a gambit.

Why are you claiming that you're not sure?
Because I am probably a miller, but am not sure(it doesn't specifically state in my role PM than I am, but the flavor hints toward it heavily, and and it's better information to provide at the outset of the game(even if you're not entirely sure) than to try to provide after getting investigated.
If you think it's a gambit, but that I chose to be 'unsure' for some inexplicable reason, then, I don't know what to tell you.
@Seppel: I lol'ed.
Handzus has finally found his precious.

This is the real scum vote. Far too much pre-justification in it.

Zionite makes horrible gambit plays to start out games, which is why I said it like that. He'll be revealed soon enough if he's scum.
Seppel will be voting for 5 other player before this game reaches the second page.
Kpaca saw the chance as scum to kill a town Cyan. With Zionite and Seppel voting he has a solid base to build the wagon.
That vig Cyan was in reference to the first Amistarian game.

Yet you completely ignore kpaca's meta where he does **** like this regardless of alignment, despite the fact you are using meta to explain why you aren't voting for Seppel or Zio?
Voting Cyan is stupid. If you think he should be dead, he should be vigged rather than lynched; that's miller SOP. But I don't think Cyan would pull this gambit as scum; his scum game is much more calculated and long-term. See the recently completed Survival Horror for an example. I'm willing to trust Cyan until he gives me reason not to.

So you don't like Zionite's or Seppel's reaction to Cyan's miller claim, you expected kpaca's reaction, and you think AE voting kpaca makes AE scum? I am skeptical that you have such a solid view of the game state after fewer than 20 posts.
If AE were to flip town, how would that affect your read of the situation?

If AE were to flip town it would mean I was wrong, but not do much to change my current view on the game. I don't really like Zio's vote, and given AE's reaction to it I think it is possible they are together. But if AE is town then I still think Zio can be scum. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
As for Seppel, Seppel is as Seppel does.
As for my view, well a sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic, neh?

So let me see if I understand you correctly.
Despite you saying that you were concerned about the quick votes on Cyan, you don't actually have a read on either Seppel or kpaca, but what you really meant is that you are suspicious of Zionite. You also think that AE voting kpaca makes AE scum.
Why didn't you just say that you think Zionite and AE are scum together rather than make the vague statement about players voting Cyan when you don't actually have any conviction about two of those three players?
Lastly, I have no idea what your last sentence means, but it doesn't seem relevant to the game.

To be clear...Zionite is scum in your mind in any circumstance.
Despite you saying that you were concerned about the quick votes on Cyan, you don't actually have a read on either Seppel or kpaca, but what you really meant is that you are suspicious of Zionite. You also think that AE voting kpaca makes AE scum.

Because I don't actually have any thinking that they are scum together. I don't like Zio's vote which I find scummy, but not enough to act on. AE's response on the other hand is bad and his reasoning is bad and his vote looks opportunistic.
I think part of the confusion is you are equating concern with thinking I think they are scum. I am concerned with both Seppel's vote and Zio's, but for completely different reasons. But my concern with Seppel's vote has nothing to do with scumminess and more with how he is going to play the game.
As for the last line it is in response to your solid view question. I am blind but for what I can see and so if I see a dirty rock I must act on it even if it is the cleanest rock in the pile.
@Cyan: No, what I am saying is that their alignments don't effect the other ones in my current reads. So Zio can be scum even if AE isn't and vise-versa.

The only thing that comes to mind is that you're actually a godfather that's trying to draw an investigation somehow, but that makes little sense. Why there would be a miller that's left to flavorgaming to find it out is beyond me. That seems bastardly -- to me it's just as likely that you're a Town Non-Miller than scum. Following that...

...AI is probably right here. Cyan is too levelheaded to do this in his first post, let alone the first post of the game. Even the risk of being CC'd by a real miller would be too much for scum-Cyan.

What? Millers are just not investigated period because the result is a foregone conclusion. Why would a godfather masquerade as a miller? Furthermore, why do you consider the possibility of Cyan being a town non-miller being as likely as Cyan being scum? Why would a townie ever falsely claim to be a miller?

TownCyan would falsely claim to be a miller because...... he doesn't know if he is one or not.
You're trying to apply the general case to mudsling on TMCT while ignoring that his line of thought makes sense in this specific case.

As for the rest of this Cyan/kpaca/AE/Guardman/Cyan vote circle...I don't like AE and am unsure about Guardman. kpaca is kpaca.
And this post is suspicious - these opinions are very easy ones to have at this point, and this post gives no information beyond these obvious opinions. It's dead air.

Everything else must be paraphrased.
Please ASK before posting if you have any doubts.
V/LA: 3/21-3/24 & 3/27-3/29
It is now Day One!
With 16 alive, it is 9 to lynch!

Can he confirm if you're unkillable or unlynchable or a vig?
Vote Cyan
Ah, you didn't respond to my post.
If I only had a gun. I could start weeding out.
Look who's talking gambit.
I don't like your sig pic.
They hate us cause they ain't us.
Why are you claiming if you're not sure?
Why are you claiming that you're not sure?
Agreed vote: cyan
Dead serious with this vote.
vote kpaca
So opportunistic it hurts.
They hate us cause they ain't us.
Handzus has finally found his precious.
Vote AE
Because I am probably a miller, but am not sure(it doesn't specifically state in my role PM than I am, but the flavor hints toward it heavily, and and it's better information to provide at the outset of the game(even if you're not entirely sure) than to try to provide after getting investigated.
If you think it's a gambit, but that I chose to be 'unsure' for some inexplicable reason, then, I don't know what to tell you.
@Seppel: I lol'ed.
This is the real scum vote. Far too much pre-justification in it.
Vote Guardman
I think I'm going to change my custom tag to RVS Slayer.
They hate us cause they ain't us.
The statute of limitations on that joke has expired sir.
Maybe someone can carry it on. Millers are prime vig targets at some point.
They hate us cause they ain't us.
I guess we don't get a real RVS this game.
I think AE has posted more this game than he did in the entire Survival Horror game.
Cyan: I liked your old avatar better.
I have no real contributions yet.
Well, that's a really stupid vote.
I dont wanna explain why.
Yet you completely ignore kpaca's meta where he does **** like this regardless of alignment, despite the fact you are using meta to explain why you aren't voting for Seppel or Zio?
I dig it.
Unvote, vote Guardman.
Post 19, second stanza.
But you are voting for AE.
I didn't even catch that.

If anyone's busing so far on this wagon, it's you.
Are you saying you still expect Zionite to make a "horrible gambit play" if he's scum?
So...do you think Cyan should be vigged?
Okay.
The opposite of this post is true re: cyans scum game.
What? Millers are just not investigated period because the result is a foregone conclusion. Why would a godfather masquerade as a miller? Furthermore, why do you consider the possibility of Cyan being a town non-miller being as likely as Cyan being scum? Why would a townie ever falsely claim to be a miller?
Cite examples, please.

It's a bullet-hell game, but with cats. Everyone loves cats!
I'm going to start vigging people who say ____ is ____. This is ridiculous.

TownCyan would falsely claim to be a miller because...... he doesn't know if he is one or not.
You're trying to apply the general case to mudsling on TMCT while ignoring that his line of thought makes sense in this specific case.
vote AI
You cite examples. How about that?
This post tries too hard to not have an opinion.
And this post is suspicious - these opinions are very easy ones to have at this point, and this post gives no information beyond these obvious opinions. It's dead air.

That's a really stupid name. Change it back.
Don't bother. But I'll tell you why yours is. You should be pushing for someone to take a shot at Cyan, not trying to waste a lynch on him.
Not really. He usually plays up some kill shot. I remember in Checks & Balances he didn't come out gunning for Cyan. It took him awhile and he asked for help doing it. They were both town.
Speaking of C&B you didn't hesitate to barn my reads there. Your just trying to discredit me so others won't see you for the scum you are.
Agreed.
Yes.
Absolutely. Just not early on if the vig can help it. Let him scumhunt, help the town out. Something Kpaca doesn't want to happen.
