Etr, any particular reason you decided to throw the game? You not shooting me in the face was pretty clear indicator that you knew I was a werewolf.
Well, in the end, I called three out of six. Could be worse, I suppose.
TS and IMAB, I'm still annoyed at the way the two of you use insults as an argumentative strategy, but being as you were town and thus it wasn't a guise, I suppose I just can't muster enough strength to care anymore. But playing with the two of you and tomsloger was a real grind.
You were dead wrong on obvious town playets all game Xyre. And you even said youll fight to the death to keep etr alive, you disapproved when I caught Hunt and even tried to use personal attacks against IABM and I. I fo think you should play with more maturity and at least try to find who is,town next time.

He personally attacked me and IABM on several occasions. Anyway shake the haters off. Happy to be 4-0 as a mafia player!
Thanks for the game Iso. Frustrating it was, at times, but still fun.
Another rather average game for me personally, I would say. No disastrously incorrect reads, but few brilliant insights. I just don't seem to have the time or energy these days to keep up with threads that get too large.
The amount of Town lying/bluffing has got to be my biggest annoyance. The Neutral roles my biggest question mark. If they really worked like Tom said, I don't understand what they were for at all. Seems like they almost were exactly what Xyre speculated, like, secret Miller roles.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.
The Neutrals were thrown in to give the town some minor investigative power and to make sure that if one faction fell, the town didn't auto-curbstomp with numbers.
As I mentioned in the QT, there were a few changes I would have made, in hindsight. Seppel's(?) interpretation of Last Resort was much cooler than my own idea. GJ was spot-on in that the mafia and wolves should have had answers to their respective town-aligned anti-abilities in the form of "last member of their team alive" passives, but I guess there's nothing I can do about that, now. It all worked out in the end.
I also apologize again for the way I handled the Day that ended in a No Lynch - I should have extended the deadline by another 24 hours when I realized Xyre's vote didn't count, but I felt at least somewhat justified in my decision that I had already extended the deadline once.

I really, really hated replacing into a slot that blatantly quit under pressure. Not that I played my best, but as soon as it was pointed out that he was flailing and he just kind of rolled over I was reminded why I don't like replacing much.

The few remaining members of the village converged into the town square.
"Everything we worked for...lost to this...this...madness! What have we done to deserve this?"
EtR looked down in silence.
"I've caused you people enough grieving. I'm willing to leave in peace if you'll forget my face."
"What...what did you say?"
EtR cleared his throat and stood upright.
"I said, I can go, now. We can do this the easy way or the hard way."
The villagers circled around EtR.
"You think you can get away with what you've done to us?!?" Xyre shouted.
"I was very important until you came along!" huffed Nacho.
"Hey, man, when I barred your door last Night, the killing stopped. And anyway, we're all prepared for you if you come around," volunteered DoTA.
Wait...where was TappingStones?
TappingStones, an angry old farmer, snuck up behind EtR and skewered him through the chest with a pitchfork.
"That's what you get for being bad, you...bad person, you!" TappingStones rasped, shaking his fist. "And the rest of you damn kids need to get off my lawn!"
-
EtR has been lynched. He was Don Shredder, Mafia Watcher.
-
The village is at peace.
The Vatican, having not heard from tomsloger in quite some time, assumed his mission had failed and that the town was lost to the mafia.
Dracula went out to find his old nemesis, Jobie, only to find his home abandoned.
"All that's left is to rebuild from here, I guess."
The Undertaker walked away from the village, into the sunset.

The quick chats are quite enlightening. I would have the thought that the scum teams could have coordinated kills much better. I hope I can be in that situation in the future to see how I would react.
But hey if you wanna believe I faked a role in my first post so that I could fake a guilty on someone. who just happened to be named Ezio who just happened to be an assassin who just happens to wield an item called "Hidden Gun" then ok

All the roles are listed off in the OP. The only ones that might not have been clear:
Town Last Resort: If this player was the last town power role alive, they would get a 1-shot Census use, which would tell them how many players of each faction were still alive.
Neutral Assassin: This player had a 1-Shot Cop ability and won when the mafia was eliminated. They would then leave the game. (And no, he didn't have a gun.)

Good game everyone. Thanks for running it Iso.
Until the last night, we didn't know who or what the target result was. No disrespect, but we didn't trust you to kill Axel, which would have allowed us to take control. Even with 8 people, the town would have still controlled the vote if Axel was still alive.
As far as game balance goes, I said everything I needed to say about the game in spectator thread.
I'm honestly surprised at the amount of flak Xyre gets from other players and himself. He's always so self-deprecating with regards to his Mafia abilities, but time and again, he throws me for a loop with the strength of his analysis.

I realize he has lots of buddies on this site willing to go to bat for him but this wasnt his better game. Im giving him a clean slate in the future though, no hard feelings Xyre.
My assessment of Xyre's skill in Mafia has nothing to do with any OoG interactions we may have had. The last two or three games (not including this one) I've seen Xyre in, he wrecked the scum pretty hard. Ataghan, for example.

Aww, thanks, Prophy and Iso. I don't agree with you, but I'm grateful.
TS, in my meager defense, the primary reason I was wrong about IMAB is he was a lying townie. My repeated attempts to lynch him were based on the fact that I trusted tom when tom said IMAB was lying, which was entirely correct. And his lies did nothing to advance the town position. In that respect, I think my play was not only defensible, but correct.
And, furthermore, my success or failure this game has nothing to do with my assessment of you as a person who is, to put it euphemistically, not fun to play with. I stand by my comparison of you and Donald Trump in that you ascribe all positive things said about one of your enemies or negative things said about you as part of some moral failing in the speaker or conspiracy in the world. Why, nobody could ever negatively judge your moral failings.
I think you played fine this game. I also won't be joining any more games you're in, simply because playing with you is like going skinny-dipping in a frozen lake. Filled with polar bears. Who want to claw off my genitals. It reminded me of a lot of the things that burned me out on this game in the first place, even as people like GJ tried their damnedest to remind me why this community is still great.
And that's my last statement on that. If you want to call me a prick again, go ahead, but I'm gonna zip my mouth.
Cutting off your nose to spite your face. Have at it. Just know that your flaming and baiting contributed greatly to the unpleasantness you prescribed to me.
I attacked the play, you continually attacked the players. IABM suffered through your antics about as much as I had to so its a Xyre problem, not a TS problem.
I extend the olive branch, in any case as it's just a game. Some strong players on this site really enjoy the way I play, others don't. There are also several I think have very unfun behavior and I even talked to the mod about subbing out of this game because of certain behaviors, but in the end Iso was right, just work through it and solve the game! 4-0 on this site = )

I loved this game a lot, despite all the various bumps.
I am sorry to Xyre and the rest of the town for not playing this how I wanted to; I have mostly been disappointed in games I've been in with a governor because their power isn't utilized in any way whatsoever, and I wanted to change that with my play this game, which was fun for me while it was frustrating with everyone else who dealt with it, which is the sort of thing that I think would have been less frustrating if I had been active like I wanted to be, but life dealt me a series of particularly swift kicks in the balls and that took me out of the game quite a bit. Xyre I am sorry to in particular for the day we had The Fight; I recognized that you were putting a lot of good effort in the game and I didn't really have good arguments to refute your points: I had guessed IMAB was lying before Tom got lynched (he answered the gun question immediately after Iso asked a question I asked him), but it was in no way something I could envision scum doing. I made the mistake of not emphasizing that I too believed that he was a liar but there was a high likelihood that he was town and did a pretty crappy job of expressing my counterpoints, so I did understand the way you felt. I don't regret deciding to actually use my power, though: I felt like I had a much bigger impact on the game than I would have otherwise, scrutinized townreads more than I would have otherwie, enjoyed the game as a whole more. I've never been the type to trust twilight posting; as scum, I pretend to be town until the mod locks the thread and flips me and have won a couple games that I shouldn't have for that reason alone so it's not the type of thing that can turn around a read on a suspect unless it's really, really good.
Vaimes, I absolutely loved your play this game: your reads on a whole were pretty solid, but it was really refreshing to see someone be so transparenly town and so thoughtful at the same time; when you died, I spent a long long time going through your posts and following some of the thought processes you had and it helped a lot.
TS, I was very impressed with your growth this game; I noticed that you are focusing in on what other players are saying and taking those reads into account more (and was very very impressed with the EtR scumread - that was your one read that never changed or came close to changing throughout the whole game, which is pretty damn solid considering OB played an excellent scumgame before replacing out I thought).
Tom:
please keep joining games i'm in. you're the greatest.
I'm far less angry with the way you played, Nacho, now that it's clear that I was wrong about IMAB. I think governors are a tricky role to put into setups as well as play, and you did a great job as our confirmed townie. And emotions were running high through the game for a variety of reasons, none related to your play. NBD.

It still felt better than saying "Help, spare me, I'm town" :p. You didn't enjoy my commentary at all? I enjoyed playing with you and Axelrod, even though he was a big jerk and exposed me for the animal I was.
Thanks for the kind words Nacho. As I said, even with you playing less this game you held the town together. I was frustrated with the governor role but in the right hands it can work.

i don't know where it came from but i wish i could play like this all the time :/
i had a lot of fun this game, and i was genuinely shocked to be the n1 kill despite my offsite meta for being indecisive and getting mislynched in endgame
also i laughed when i saw my role, knew i wouldn't live long enough for it to be relevant
Oh in case y'all didnt read the spec chat. No I didnt have a Post restriction. I just hate being Vanilla Town and it was the 2nd game in a row where I rolled it so I decided to have some fun. I had a whole document full of song titles ready to go to keep it up had I lived longer. I am still surprised I was a N1 NK.
EtR is the last scum, and no I don't want to govern him.

Good game everyone. Thanks for running it Iso.
really enjoyed reading along though. nacho and xyre both just put the town on their backs for stretches. very impressive.
@Xyre-Why were you town reading etr so strongly? I just don't see where you were coming from.
@Tom-What were you thinking when IABM said you had a gun that the mod didn't tell you about?
Until the last night, we didn't know who or what the target result was. No disrespect, but we didn't trust you to kill Axel, which would have allowed us to take control. Even with 8 people, the town would have still controlled the vote if Axel was still alive.
As far as game balance goes, I said everything I needed to say about the game in spectator thread.

100% barn.
If Xyre was in the Invitational we would have gotten snowed under.
I realize he has lots of buddies on this site willing to go to bat for him but this wasnt his better game. Im giving him a clean slate in the future though, no hard feelings Xyre.

I attacked the play, you continually attacked the players. IABM suffered through your antics about as much as I had to so its a Xyre problem, not a TS problem.
1) We were on autowin and then we decided to lunch GJ instead no no-lynching. Lol.
2) "GOVS WRECK. Nacho should be our first kill." -Seppel
I'm curious why Nacho never got targeted. He kept IABM and I from getting Xyre mislynched the whole game.

It still felt better than saying "Help, spare me, I'm town" :p. You didn't enjoy my commentary at all? I enjoyed playing with you and Axelrod, even though he was a big jerk and exposed me for the animal I was.

i don't know where it came from but i wish i could play like this all the time :/
i had a lot of fun this game, and i was genuinely shocked to be the n1 kill despite my offsite meta for being indecisive and getting mislynched in endgame
also i laughed when i saw my role, knew i wouldn't live long enough for it to be relevant
