Like, you guys realize I get a bigger and bigger NK target on me the more obv-town I am, right?
RIGHT?!
I'd like to SURVIVE for at LEAST a couple of Days. Sheesh!!

-Once per game per player, empowerments may be transferred from one player to another, triggering at the end of the night period, if that player is still alive. Players with mafia alignment may freely transfer their empowerment scores at any time.
Is terrible. I already PM'd our illustrious Mod. to complain about it. Unless the Mafia empowerment powers completely suck, it is such a huge advantage to swing points around at instant speed and with perfect knowledge. I know from what I am speaking of on this. I had a similar (though I think even less busted) mechanic in my Points Mafia game back in the day, and it did not end up working out well.
I know, the Mafia don't get these points at all unless people are voting them (though they can always vote themselves) so there's some case to be made the Town could deserve what it gets there, but I'm concerned.
I see what you're getting at, but you can't vote to empower yourself. Scum can tie themselves to their buddies by doing this, though. Definitely worth paying attention to down the road.

Yeah, I will probably forget to check the spec ops thread. As it is, I've checked it...twice since the game started? Maybe 3 times. (Whereas this one I've checked MANY times.)
I think Manders is Town because she asked to be Town and it's her first game back and Az wouldn't be so mean to make her scum after that. Also, she seemed too excited in #14 to have rolled scum.
Easy game.
I'm not sure what to make of you just yet. IGMEOY.
On the other hand, I don't like this post. I'm not sure anyone really knows what to make of anyone with so few posts, so why bother saying it? Why not discuss the post in question instead?
Unvote. Vote MandersW
Because I'm keeping my exact thoughts about his post to myself, but wanted it on record that I had reservations about his post.
Oh great! So you make a scummy post, and your defense is that you'll talk about it later?
Ok,
Legitimately reading Bur as scum, that read as BS banter to me and just faking it.
Also, time to grab some towny points.
Guys you can go to negative Empowerment beware for your maths.
Secretly? Can we be negative and not know it?
I mean, assuming we're told I don't see how the math is messed up.

Go read the original post, it's right there. You've got nothing to say about Axelrod (it's also possible that you're trying to hint at some kind of meta-read, but again there's no townie reason to hint rather than just wait and let your read play out). But you feel like you need to formulate an opinion regardless, so you toss in some empty reasoning to support a hint of (overly cautious) suspicion.

No, actually, every bit of that is incorrect.
I make it pretty obvious that I have an opinion of Axelrod...I'm just not sure if it's right. Since I'm not too sure, I chose to refrain from sharing it until I have a more firm opinion about him.
And the fact that you admit there's no town or scum reasoning behind my post LITERALLY makes it a null tell...yet you decided it makes me scum.

I also should ask the mod but I assumed that it would effect the night of as well, but I'm not certain of this. I do not think secretly though. That would be dick.
There will be town roles that will not on first glance realize this and so may get messed up by something messing with them when if they were informed of this information they can make better decisions.
I just wanted to make sure everyone would realize this and make more optimal play, and since I am certain the scum already knew this it only benefits the town.

Do empowerment votes have to be public, or can they be PMd to you or relayed to you in any other way?
What would happen if a player were to have negative empowerment points?
Empowerment votes must be public, unless otherwise stated.
What would happen? Well, that player would require an additional empowerment vote to reach a zero empowerment score. No other global rules effects that you should be made aware of.

So if I were to have -1 empowerment at the end of Today, I would not die or anything? From a mechanic rule. I'm sure, if there's the possibility of having negative emp points, there's an ability that can do something to such players, but I'm also sure you cannot and will not (AND SHOULD NOT!) tell little old me about it.

I can't really see a good reason to not simply come out and say this in the first place.
If spectators can die and be targeted by abilities, it sounds like they probably have ways to influence the game that we're not clear on as of yet. Otherwise why bother targeting them and/or killing them?
I can't really see a good reason to not simply come out and say this in the first place.
Because I didn't WANT to say anything more. Why do I have to share EVERYTHING that goes through my head? (HINT: I don't.)
I made a note on it so that, if I decided my initial thoughts were right and he IS scum, I could make reference to that post to show that he had been pinging since the beginning. (And because I like to see if my initial thoughts were correct once the game is over. You wouldn't believe how many times I've caught scum off one post because of my gut instincts.)

Does it really do any good to make that info public (rather than noting it privately)? You could just come back and note the post later if your read solidified enough to make an accusation that you actually wanted to talk about. The way you're talking, you care far too much about how others perceive your (potential future) case (i.e. "Manders has had Axelrod down as scum from the start").

When I play Mafia, I'm always thinking about every possible outcome I can see and their effects, both immediately and in the long run. This is a result of that.

Spectators can be targeted by abilities, and can die.
However, the rules do not permit spec ops players to be lynched, and votes for spectators by players will not appear in official vote-counts.
