I am also called Riku. I tend to prefer being called riku.
So I think most of this is somewhere on a spectrum of reachyness, but I kinda think it's townie to try to get blood from a stone like this?
If he is scum though I would say it's not with shadow for the way this is directed at him + pockety feels on rvs joke dichotomy
And his buddy would probably be in mikey/rum/cantrip/[unmentioned] but that's reachy in response to reachy tbh.
I don't really have a read on osi from this but it's a baseline I guess
@shadow: what do you think of this post?
I'm kinda town reading osie. Seems to be working on solving the game.
Its a post?
I think it’s words(TM) from Tom and doesn’t actually tell me much. I don’t disagree with him though.
Why does Osie’s post constitute game solving and not just him forcing content?
so far what I'm seeing for MTGS meta is a bunch of people calling each other out then politely declining to push anything declaring it "NAI"
people get your hands dirty
tom explain to me why you think your post (the one I quoted) isn't alignment indicative
In a vacuum I think this kind of post comes from town more often than scum.
@Mikey: what’s your mafia experience?
Quote from Osie »
Shadow - He's been okay, but I want to see more. If he doesn't wow me within a page or two without a damn good reason, I'm scumreading him.
Show me one time where I wowed you in the first 4 pages of a game and I was town. -_-
Quote from Rumanshi »
Just so I don't let bias get in the way, I'm going to leave Osie for now. I don't think that Vezok is scum though, as scum need to blend in. I'm going with either tom or anak is scum, so I'll be leaving my vote on Tom for now, until I deem another player scummier than osie.
@Osie: give me your quick thoughts on this paragraph.@Anak: What’s your confidence rating scum!tom’s ability to pocket you?
Yeah, I was asking shadow to weigh in on that posts to see if I can catch two scum for the price of one. Wasted effort.
That post from tom is coming from scum. He starts of with being unsure, but the next sentence is coming from a person who is sure of himself. It looks like he tried to appear townie with the post, but his info about the scum team slipped trough.

I think I wasn't as clear as I wanted to be in my last post.
The problem with toms post is the dichtonomy of uncertainty and absolute certainty in the next sentence. I believe that comes from tom having more information that the rest of us (i.e. is scum) and that his mentality slipped through.

Can you bold the part that conveys absolute certainty in the Tom post? I’m not seeing it.
Getting a pretty strong town read from Osie, as this is the kind of innocence posting I recall being his trademark, although I don't think I've ever met scum!Osie, so I may not have a good basis for comparison.
BlueSky's 38 is strange. Him going after Mikey and ignoring Tom doing the same thing raised an eyebrow, but then he just sorta brushes it off like "yeah, so?" when Tom calls him on it, so... I guess that could be scum!Tom getting in a public reprimand on scum!BlueSky, but that doesn't really seem like scum!Tom's play, either. Probably a town/town interaction.
And can we either refer to him as DawningBlueSky/BlueSky OR Phraze (preferably BlueSky) to reduce confusion?

In a vacuum I think this kind of post comes from town more often than scum.
@Shadow: Why did you feel the need to put the "in a vacuum" qualifier on this?
Tom has a good take on Vezok's "wanted to respond" scumtell; that's something I've been caught doing as scum in the past. I also don't like his "...but his info about the scum team slipped through" followed by "I mean his scum mentality".
@Vezok: Why say "info about the scum team" (my emphasis) the first time if you meant "scum mentality"?
I don't like Anak leaping in with "Emcee and Osie scumteam ftwinz!" and then detailing why Osie's scum but never making any connection (or reference, even) to Mikey.
I like vezok's breakdown of tom's post since I see where he's coming from and I had a similar read on it, though I put it down to potential chemistry between osie and tom and not necessarily "info about the scum team" (which just means tom knows the scum team because he is, lol, I think you're reaching too far if you call vezok out for saying this).
I don't like rumanshi's entrance in a different way than I didn't like osie's, so for now I'm going to Vote Rumanshi
and in the meantime feel free to contact me cause I'm on spring break rn and doing nothing
osie's read of vezok looks scummy in that scum needs to have a suspicion on SOMEONE.
however going back and reading rumanshi's entrance it feels a lot worse than it was last time I read it and I'm going to tunnel on that for the rest of the day.

@Osie: give me your quick thoughts on this paragraph.
I think it's waffly as heck, but I'm like slight townreading that bit. It's the core of my issues with Ruma this game, in that a couple of the things that he's doing feel townie, but at the same time he's ringing alarm bells, and not in the usual obnoxious way that he does as a town player.

I apologise for my absence. I am a little more comfortable now. I had ear surgery and have been taking prescription painkillers which are a little strong. Didn't want to participate in a state where I was more likely to ruin the game than contribute. (So, rawr Osie).
On the topic of reads, Osie is never going to read me properly as they have a bias against me (A toxic personality over on MAL hehe). The problem with such an early read list, is that it can be either scum or town-lean. Thus, NAI. There is the fact that osie did not vote when he made his reads, and seemed like he was justifying the RVS on Tom. Often scum try and portray RVS as an actual read. Keep this in mind.
Just so I don't let bias get in the way, I'm going to leave Osie for now. I don't think that Vezok is scum though, as scum need to blend in. I'm going with either tom or anak is scum, so I'll be leaving my vote on Tom for now, until I deem another player scummier than osie.
one of the first things rumanshi says is "this person who's going to scum read me doesn't ever read me right". the rest of that paragraph is using way too many words to get a simple point across, kinda fillery, like they're purposely taking it too far just to have more things to say, you know what I mean? Just something to keep in mind I guess.
I'm comfortable with a vote on rumanshi for this instantly deflective behavior

Hey everyone, I dislike self-meta as an alignment tell even more than I dislike meta-only reads so as much as Phraze or someone else might push you to provide self-meta, I'm probably never going to townread you based on self-meta.
how do you intend to dive into someone's mindset then? different players will execute different strategies according to their playstyles, and if you don't know what their playstyles are like you will be reading off your left foot. it isn't an alignment tell, but it is informative and shouldn't be ignored.
on a side note, I have Tom, Emcee, and maybe you for scum. Tom is looking for faults rather than the reasons behind an action, Emcee switched votes without a reasonable followup(whether in questions or not), and you seem too judgemental and/or well-established to be town.

It's not that he's bad at math, it's that 11% is one out of nine. This means that Mikey thought there was one scum in the group and he applied that to the (incorrect) amount of others.
Why would he think there is one scum remaining? It's an open setup, everyone knows exactly how many scum there are, two. Mikey knows who one is, and did a 1/9 instead of a 1/8 for the other, accidentally.
A number typo could happen, but that number is so off from just a typo that I believe something else led to it
