KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.
That he's a generally very considerate player with a streak of gregarious insanity, a small patch of ill humor, and a tad too much of the influence of mafiascum in his blood. No idea what his alignment in this game is.

Gemma: ok. Have you seen anything from nacho that's distinctly possibly AI?
Not really? I have specific things that I look for, but they are in an old cobwebbed room that I have to clean out and probably refurbish, along with the entire rest of the dust-covered house that is my mafia playing brain. There's no electricity so I just have a little hand duster and a broom and I'm pacing myself because dust triggers my allergies. Honestly I barely even remember what I used to keep in this room, I just remember that it was very homely.

You demanded Nacho meta, I ignored your demands, you became upset at my insolence and voted me, is more or less my interpretation of that exchange. Kind of annoying, but I recognize my old town self in it and it's all good.
I’m actually trying to reign in how much I post since this’ll be a long game, and try to keep the fluffing to a minimum.
Speaking of that, LW criticizing me for posting in general, even though it’s considerably less, and even though there’s content to comment on, is right up scum alley.
I understand where Axelrod is coming from with his vote on Kitty, but the rumors of him killing RVS with that vote is greatly exaggerated and don't like how that's being leveraged to criticize Gemma for a late RVS vote.
I don't understand why someone softs that they have a "scummy" role - like, is it pro-scum (like PGO) where you need to out it to mitigate damage or is it just going to be a *****ty claim when you're at L-2? If it's the former, why not claim? If it's the latter, why hint at something like that at all instead of trying to draw a kill first? I don't think the half claim is doing anyone good here and since scum already knows you're nothing to be afraid of, why not full claim and give the town a little something more to work with?
Like look at this post. I had to go back to check who accused axelrod of killing RVS and it's just silver. Nobody even commented on that thing, so I have no idea where "greatly exaggerated comes from.
And the second part feels like total rolefishing. If you want to see the claim just vote, don't stand on the sidelines and sling mud.

I'm townreading tom and Vaimes up to now. I also agree with their reads on Nacho (only Vaimes) and slothful (tom).
Killjoy also looks pretty good. The fact that he is talking freely with several people indicates he is town.
Gemma's a bit weird, but also townish.
LW is still a question mark for me.
vote nacho
Why mention LW specifically as a question mark?
Cause I was scum with him last game. And I was also part of the previous game where he was scum. I felt like I should comment on him because I should be able to discern some scummines/ towniness from him after these games, but right now I'm at nothing.

The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Cause I was scum with him last game. And I was also part of the previous game where he was scum. I felt like I should comment on him because I should be able to discern some scummines/ towniness from him after these games, but right now I'm at nothing.
so you would sayanything lastw has done so far, hed also do as town?
IMO I think that KCC being transparent about it is very towny, as there was no need for it, and it puts all eyes on her for no reason, and its the opposite of what wolves want to do
You know, and it's silly as hell, but that's the towniest Lastwhisper entrance I've seen in a while
You didn't just not RVS me back, you didn't RVS at all?
Mrgle. Axelrod killing RVS early is probably NAI but it gives me warm, fuzzy feelings anyway.
@Gemma is that a late RVS vote or...?
Unless I’m missing something, this is the only post that even mentions Gemma potentially making a late RVS vote.
Well, she naked voted me - which could be RVS except she had been joking before so the naked vote coming at that time looked not RVS, but then she immediately posted a second post with a joke in it so it looked like maybe it actually was RVS? I mean, there was some confusion there.
I would like to see Kitty explain why she softclaimed the way she did, and, if she feels her claim is going to cause trouble down the road, then let us deal with it now as opposed to later. Saying that her claim is super scummy doesn't do anything for anyone.
I'm not demanding she claim, but I am agreeing that her saying that in that way doesn't do anything good for us.
I'd like for KCC to attempt at explaining why she claimed the way she did and why her doing so is better than outright claiming. I'll write out my full thoughts once she's done that.
I think her doing that is a super terrible idea that gives mafia more info to read into and tells us next to nothing about her alignment in any way that I can imagine.
You mean "her doing what Nacho just suggested she do" - which is explain why she softed the way she softed - and not "her making that claim in the first place" - which is what I though you meant originally. Because I would also like to hear her thinking about why she felt the need to announce that her claim was going to be scummy at whatever point she makes it.
I don't think that's especially good Town-play. Doesn't make her scum, but I also think KCC is a good player in general. So....
I think that was a joke vote.
@Axel: was that a serious vote?
It was serious in the sense that it was the most suspect thing anyone had posted so far. But it was not super serious. I rank it about a 3 out of 10 in terms of actual scumminess. I didn't think it was going to kill anyone's RVS time.

Ambush Krotiq makes me laugh so much. I keep rereading the card and it keeps not having Flash. In what sense is this an ambush again? I just have visions of this huge Krotiq poorly concealed in some bushes, feeling slightly sad that his carefully planned ambushes never seem to work.

I said it was scummy, not weak
I understand why nachos getting votes here, but I think this is more likely cautious town rather than role fishing
I will note that none of this is an explanation for why you felt the need to soft-claim like that. Unless the "I know what I'm doing" is supposed to be the answer to that.
If so, I am not a fan of that answer.

Killjoy seems okay. I like Gemma and Vaimes, mostly tonally though Vaimes is doing good work too.
Last night I kind of felt like Nacho realized he wasn't getting anywhere and tried to backpedal... partly because I don't really feel like I tried to sort him, myself, so his town lean on me gave me a bit of whiplash. I guess it coulda been a bad push on purpose to force interactions which is what I think he's representing now but like. I'm gonna let that read stew some more, I think.

This is almost definitely influenced by the fact he's voting for me. But, it's scummish anyway.

The usual ones I’ve caught you with. Nothing new, sadly.
I’m not 100% married to the idea though. Got any hot takes?
well then give my role card, they are pretty null tells then, and I dont really have any hot takes? can you tell me why you put Axel in your list of people that are ok to be pushed/voted? or did you already say it somewhere
I dunno, some of the songs I'm having trouble parsing meaning from but the bit itself isn't AI, he'd try to make himself understood through it regardless of his alignment.

Hint: it's not "you didn't answer my question"
It was me pre-empting unfounded scumreads on Nacho because I know how that feels.
Why are you spoilering an invitation to talk? Doesn’t feel very inviting.
Why mention LW specifically as a question mark?
But Rhand, secret invitations are the best!
Feel free to elaborate more on his observations? I don't really expect to agree with you based on past experience but I value the input all the same.

Gemma is town due to relaxed posting with gifs and cheeky answers. I'd assume she's be a bit more reserved as scum, due to previous experiences.
Nacho is scum because she's make non-sensical posts.
