Rhand, I have asked you all MANY to tell me any way that my logic on you and KJ is wrong. I am literally begging to be proven wrong at this point - not even decisively, just show any chink in the armor that makes things not ironclad for the picture I've formed of the game.
Do you have any? Can you share?
Having a strong read is all fine and good, but for the life of me, I just don't dont understand why you'd do this...
You never wrote anything convincing on KJ. The only thing that made me wonder is why GJ didn’t accept the KJ+Vaimes mission.
But that can simply be safe play.

I still don't see GJ as someone who would play it safe here, there was no indication the town (you/vaimes or you/umami, depending on who you believe) would fail it, and so long as just one of you accepted it, his vote would win the game.
Also not sure why what you're saying wouldn't apply to Shadow, whom you have in the proposal.
And there's Umami who I still think fits better than Vaimes for the very same points you're raising.
Thank you for actually answering (I mean it). But I don't think I'm accepting this proposal.
Better luck with...Killjoy. Oh good, this should be quick and painless lol.
That would be my preference. Rhand how would you feel about that mission? How strong is your read on sloth being a good guy? With 5/10 being a random flip of a coin.

I feel stuck. I’m wavering on sloth, but it really doesn’t matter because if sloth is good, we lose no matter what. He’s already basically said his read on me is largely independent of me and that he’s set/won’t change his mind, so if he’s town it’s an auto-loss cause he’ll never approve a mission with me on it. So, I’m stuck in this weird position where my read doesn’t really matter. I might as well stick with my gut, assume Vaimes is good, and at least have a shot at winning because if I don’t do that I either lose to scum Sloth or to town Sloth...
@Umami: I think Mission 2 +Rhand has the best chance of succeeding mission 4. Trying for all 4 Rebels isn't feasible. We don't have enough info due to previous missions not allowing it. So, going for a mission where there's at most one fail works in the short term.
KoolKoal: Feel free to take this with a grain of salt since self meta isn't particularly helpful, but I think I get scumread mostly for style over substance, but also for a certain lack of substance over style. It's not so much what I AM posting most of the time (though sometimes that can seem bad) but what I'm NOT posting. I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

You are going to have to do it for the next mission anyway. No reason not to try it for this one as well.
Rhand has nominated: Rhand, Shadow, Sloth, Umami for mission 4.
Given that this was over 24 hours ago, and everyone has submitted a vote, I am going to give a further 12 hours for votes to come in/change. Apologies again for the delay.
So yeh @Sloth: I had a plan and you made it hard on me to convincibly stick to my “reads” so the spies would believe I was going to accept my own mission.
I think Umami saw through me and Shadow got the note but KJ didn’t.
The plan being me knowing that you were going to reject.
I was hoping that I had 2 spies on there and both of them + the third one would accept.
Looks like I caught only #3 in the trap, but that communication between Umami and Shadow says it all.

“That communication” is two townies agreeing to your mission. In this world where I’m scum with Umami and KJ, why didn’t I accept the last proposal?

If you’re rebels with Umami, why not accept this one?
Why not accept the last one? fear of getting caught on a mission you should reject.
You said you were a hot mess, sloth wasn’t accepting it, Umami suggested we wait. If no one is comfortable it probably means it doesn’t go through.
I didn’t accept because people I know to be town (you/umami) either said we should wait, or seemed exasperated in your case.
As far as the rest, if it boggles you then maybe you need to look at why.
like for real, KJ only accepts that mission because he knows it’s not getting accepted. Do you remember cantrips proposal in the last game? It’s the same deal, you make a potential game losing play with low risk because it dumps wine in thread.

All of this is right.
Like, the Shadow/umami convo, if secret code, was also transparent. Doesn't meant they're not scum (cause I still think they are I cannot stress this enough).
Then I pretty much blatantly said I was rejecting it (which was my bad).
And you seemed out of it.
@Grape if everyone agrees with me, permission to shorten the voting process from 24 to 12 hours?
Also, does KJ have a deadline?
I have updated the last post to confirm that KJ has a 72 hour deadline. I am also willing to shorten the voting phase if I receive unanimous support by PM. Please do not discuss that further in thread.

Proposal 1.1 by Shadow: Sloth and Shadow Voting 1.1:Shadow nominated himself and Sloth for the mission
Yes (6): GJ, KJ, Rhand, Sloth, Shadow, Vaimes
No (1): Umami The mission was succesful.
Proposal 2.1 by Sloth: Sloth, Umami, and Vaimes Voting 2.1
Yes: Shadow, Sloth, Vaimes
No: KJ, Rhand, Umami
Did not vote and has received a prod: GJ Proposal not accepted
I really feel like there's something to the fact that all the spies rejected 4.2. I think they're trying to win before mission 5.
I'm doing Mission 2 but adding myself to it to increase the likelyhood of success. I know I'm not a spy, I strongly believe there's one spy in Sloth/Vaimes/Umami. This wins for now.

If KJ is a spy, this means adding me to that mission isn’t enough to fail it.
Which means there is indeed exactly 1 spy in Umami/Vaimes/Sloth, which leaves 1 in GJ/Shadow.
If KJ is a rebel, then I don’t understand why he wouldn’t add me. It’s the 3rd try. As rebel he would want to propose something that would actually get accepted.
Assuming I’m right, that leaves as teams:
KJ/Umami/Shadow
KJ/Umami/GJ (with the mission 3 issue of 2 possible fails. Unlikely)
KJ/Vaimes/GJ
KJ/Sloth/GJ
Looking at votals, people who have accepted missions that failed where they were not part of the mission: Shadow, GJ, Vaimes.
Which is also a team that works.
Do you have any? Can you share?

Are you going to vote no to any mission with Vaimes? Really don't want to default to nomination 5

The mission has been rejected. It is now Killjoy's turn to nominate. He has 72 hours to nominate.
The host regrets promising a phase change at midnight local time
I think I know who.
I think Umami saw through me and Shadow got the note but KJ didn’t.
I was hoping that I had 2 spies on there and both of them + the third one would accept.

Rhand, it was blatantly obvious that your proposal was being rejected, that KJ vote is all but signed confirmation that your proposal was fine.
“That communication” is two townies agreeing to your mission. In this world where I’m scum with Umami and KJ, why didn’t I accept the last proposal?
I can type.
Why would spy!KJ accept that?
How was it obvious? If I accepted, all you needed to do was vote yes to it with the 3 of you. You didn’t need Sloth.
If you’re rebels with Umami, why not accept this one?
Why not accept the last one? fear of getting caught on a mission you should reject.
That boggles me too. Which I have repeated multiple times.
An outcome with a spy!you, rebel!Sloth is not what I expected, but here we are.
I didn’t accept because people I know to be town (you/umami) either said we should wait, or seemed exasperated in your case.
As far as the rest, if it boggles you then maybe you need to look at why.

I...okay. I need to step back and have a drink. I'll be back after I've relaxed a little.

This though. @Shadow the hell does this mean? I don't follow. And what does it make KJ?
@Vaimes, @KJ, @GJ explain your votes. If you did prior, then link me to the post.
@KJ Mission 2 + Rhand. Now.
We are not spending several days on another ******* rejected mission. We solve this now.
@Grape if everyone agrees with me, permission to shorten the voting process from 24 to 12 hours?

I have updated the last post to confirm that KJ has a 72 hour deadline. I am also willing to shorten the voting phase if I receive unanimous support by PM. Please do not discuss that further in thread.
And I want to point out that every spy rejected that as well, so that could be telling.
But we can discuss that later. Mission 2 and Rhand should also work by that logic.
I'm gonna take some time to think which one is better because both of those can't be true.
But blah blah wincon.
A mission that doesn't have me, and has a guarnteed spy on it with Rhand AND Umani, and only passes if he correctly picked out of Shadow and KJ?
HELLLLLL NAW
The GJ way path to no lynching:
I don't believe that you don't remember which missions you were in... ugh.
Why Rhand?
Why Umami?
God, I'm starting to hate this game...
I'm doing Mission 2 but adding myself to it to increase the likelyhood of success. I know I'm not a spy, I strongly believe there's one spy in Sloth/Vaimes/Umami. This wins for now.
Propose: Mission 4: KJ/Sloth/Vaimes/Umami
For bolding sake
Which means there is indeed exactly 1 spy in Umami/Vaimes/Sloth, which leaves 1 in GJ/Shadow.
