I hockey net is stuck out on a pond that due to the current weather is melting. It is about 30 feet out and sunken part way into the ice. Walking out on the ice has been tried but it is too thin. Any ideas about how to get it back to land?

Now I had no job, and the truth was, I didn't want one. Unemployment took care of my Taco Bell and Cloves needs - and mom paid the rent and filled the refridgerator despite her nagging - so why get a job? The computer was all I really needed.
you could try sliding someone out on a boat..jacking a line to it from a motorized pulley on say a truck or something, or just one that you plan to pull in yourself. Guiding the net back is going to be the biggest problem. So you'd either have to drag it across the ice having someone guide it, or set it on the boat and drag it back.
what sort of goal are you talking about, a plastic or metal one. cause if it's metal it's unlikely that it's going to fit in to a 1-2 man sort of fishing boat very well.
It is a smallish metal one, a boat isn't going to work at this point because the ice is to thick to get through and by the time its thin enough the goal is going to be on the bottom of the pond. If all else fails going out with a boat later in the Spring is probably the best bet, but I want to see if there is anything easier I can do now.
How much does it weigh? Snagging it with a fishing pole with very heavy line on it might do the trick believe it or not, I've pulled very heavy things (a small mattress for example) accidentally out of the water doing this.
use the boat on the ice and slide it across to the nes hook a arope to it and pull it to the side.you can use a blow up boat also as they are great for sleding so it will slide good on the ice.
