It is that time of year, time to come up with some list of thing(s) you would like to accomplish this year.
I actually looked back at what I wanted do this year.
1. Get back into school. (Done)
2. Get driver's license. (Done)
3. Get Job. (Done, but then lost that job)
4. Exercise to lose weight (at the least get down to 250 lbs.) (Done (somewhat, then have gained back quite a bit of weight during this time of mine))
5. Do PE.
6. 90 mile bike trip.
7. Act and think better.
8. Get enough money to travel somewhere this year.
9. Get a new computer. (Done)
It surprises me that I did about half of my list, although half of those became undone so I guess it wasn't a huge success, but at least I did those things to begin with.
This year I would like to accomplish.
1. Get my associates degree this year, by this summer hopefully.
2. Get a job.
3. Get my first car. If it is possible with a job.
4. Exercise. Definitely want to get below 300, but that should be easy so at the very least I want to get down to 275 this year and 250 if at all possible.
5. See a psychologist much more often and make sure I stop holding back during sessions. Let's face it I am definitely depressed and need plenty of help.
6. Go on 90 mile bike trip.
7. Do PE and stick with it.
8. Start thinking better.
9. Pick up drawing again. Possibly take an art class.
So what do you folks want to accomplish this coming year? Don't have to change yourself, but maybe something you have always wanted to do.
I only made one public resolution this year. That was to get my Associate's Degree. Thanks to the people in homework help thread (you know who you are), I passed Physics and got my diploma. The other resolutions I all accomplished, but they're rather personal.
Next years resolution is to learn Spanish conversationally so I can actually get a job with my degree. Hehe.
Sounds like some awesome stuff to me. I am going for my associates degree this year as well. It is in art, but because of how my classes from my lass school transferred I haven't been doing any art so far. My last degree was in CIS.

Well best of luck! I hope a year from now you can post the same thread and all of us can say we accomplished what we wanted.

I told myself last year that if I accomplished at least 3 of the things on my list for this year I would be semi happy with it, and I did at least 3 of those things. I think something similar again this year might be appropriate.
I have so much on my list because of where I am in life currently, others of course, much like yourself, do not have such a long list.
I'm pretty content with how 2012 turned out. I don't think I made any New Year's resolutions for it, but I think I accomplished most of what I wanted to get done.
My New Year's resolution for 2013 is to improve socially and go out of my comfort zone more often and just overall be a friendlier person. I graduate high school in the spring so I'm at the point where I really don't even want to care about making new friends in high school, but I need to improve for college in the fall. That's the main resolution. I try to stay away from super deep self-improvement ones because I never follow through with them and I can't exactly make good gameplans to accomplish them, so I think what I have here is a pretty good and simple goal. Besides that, I need to put on more muscle from exercising so hopefully I can stick with that.

Aim high, OP. You do sound like you did great this year.
My goal for 2012 was to lose 50 pounds, which I accomplished on December 22. My goal for 2013 is another 30 (basically lose the rest of my gut), and to get into a local theater alliance. Auditions are in April!
Didnt really have a new years resolution this year, but my one for this coming year, now that I actually have time to focus on such things:
1. Sell off my magic collection (all 3 million cards of it)
2. Finish paying off the debt I currently owe my parents related to my card business.
3. Lose 80 lbs
4. Help my parents clear out their house and storage units and help prepare for my dad's retirement financially and otherwise.
5. Relax and De-stress as much as possible.
6. Get my License and get my first car.
1. Give it back to God this year.
2. Lose 13-18 pounds. (Current 6'4, 228)
3. Although I'm not really overweight, eat healthier. My diet is Mountain Dew, pizza, candy... pizza. Put it this way, I'm great friends with the owner of my local Dominoes.
4. Get my license + a car. (19 yrs old)
5. Possibly get my Ventral Hernia surgery if time, money, and lifestyle permits.
6. Get back into a gym for combat sports.
7. Make my girlfriend happy the whooooooole year.
8. Sell off some magic cards.
9. Get my AA.
1. Start exercising regularly. Every time I start I get lazy and stop.
2. Related to 1, I would like to lose about ten pounds. I am not overweight, just want to get in better shape so I can do number 3.
3. Climb at least four mountains in the Adirondacks this summer. This past summer I introduced my friend to the Adirondacks and he loved climbing. So we want to do Wright, Algonquin, and Iroquois which I have already done and at least one more that is new to both of us.
4. Make top 8 in a PTQ, specifically Modern. Was so close last year but punted like a champ.
5. Sell some cards, I have way too many.
6. Be more outgoing and confident. I am fairly shy and introverted in big groups and around people I don't know very well. Of course this limits my social life. I would like to get out there and meet some new people.
My goal this year is to convert to a strictly "primal" lifestyle (only meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, and berries, with absolutely no refined grains, wheat products, sugars, etc). I played around with it a little before Christmas and noticed I had way more energy and enjoyed being active more. Plus, the weight was melting off me.
Other than that, not much. I may give other people suggestions as to what I think their resolutions should be.

When in doubt, call a judge.
Objectivist here. Hit me up to talk philosophy.

2. Get a job
3. Go settle in Romania and party with the pretty people
Other than that, not much. I may give other people suggestions as to what I think their resolutions should be.
