Well, Ubuntu works anyways, if only a bit slower if you have too many programs there.
Or you can try Xubuntu which is a lightweight version that need less ram.

whats up ppl im andy and the izzet rock i love playing red and blue decks and i think this is the place i might fit in i read that you assign a "master" so i guess thats what i have to do since i dont know ne one here...
So I tried to post an hour or so ago, but have downloaded FireFox... how the hell did I manage to go without it? lol, I have had it before... but the new version is sweet...
Anyway, I would go with Morphling as being better, but I don't want to go into why right now, as I did so an hour ago. But the deck using both is being done by a member of the Ghost Mafia for us...
Whatever happened to the recent lack of TA stuff going on anyway?
Edit: still having troubles with the link...

So how is everyone in the Izzet?
Yay! You live! So, do you actually play magic, and if so, how much?
@ jawest & madster:Cool! Welcome to the Izzet for the both of you. We'll get the first post and the hierarchy sorted out soon. Until then, you can stick around as members with out a title for the time being.
Rocker, I think with all of the new members, we might be able to indulge a little spring cleaning. Looking at the list, We haven't heard from Avatar of Light in a while. I'm going to send him a PM to ask him what's up. He's still active on the boards, just not here.
I think we've seen skitsoijd, but I don't know how often or recently. In any case, it's your call and I don't see anyone else standing out to me as someone who hasn't posted here in two weeks.

Well, the promotions are going to be far from predictable, given the amount of variables. Besides, that is definitely up to rocker to work out. Things could change very little and things could look very differently. It all just depends.

hehe nice try J/K. Life's been hectic this past while. This one course I'm taking is ridiculously tedious, and the weights on assignments is stupid (midterm and paper worth the same). Finally got to relax this past weekend (sleep is good). Anyway, I've recently started playing online again (on MWS). No U/R decks come to mind yet, though I am playing TerraGeddon an awful lot.
RE: Torchling vs. Morphling: I personally like Morphling better, simply because of it's nickname. And I happen to have 3 foil Pemmin's Aura. Morphling is also a better kill condition IMO.
Discuss: While I don't think we need a new clan thread yet, is it ever too early to discuss a new title? How about: "[The Izzet] Blue Char? Red Psionic Blast? Doesn't matter; we've got both!" Would this be too similar to what we have now?
Hey everyone, whats up? I haven't posted in a few days and I seem to have missed quite a bit, with two new members, the new member that joined a little before the last time i was here becoming official, all the morphling/torchling talk, and all kinds of other stuff, so I think ill just address each topic one at a time
@ new members: Hey guys, good to have you here! I joined a few weeks ago and I love this clan, you will never find a better one for learning deckbuilding, strategy, Magic theory, space exploration, and all things scientific, along with all the mindless babble I can spout! Hope you guys stay around a while, cause you'll love this place once you get used to it!
@ Prime - Congrats on the title! Now that you've got a title, I'm no longer the newest apprentice! Finally, in at least one aspect of my life, (Other than magic of course) I can say I'm not a Noob!!! Lol, just kidding, I'm still Nooboid compared to WamyC, Ravus and the like. Good luck on staying around for a while!!
@ Morphling/Torchling: I guess it all depends on what factors you're looking at. In case of coolness, it has to be torchling. However, in most decks, I gotta go with Morphling because of the fact that you can get some crazy beats in with the guy, when you really need to. On the other hand, in some decks, Torchling gets the nod, especially in decks which have little removal or burn and need something to get rid of their opponent's creatures, where morphling would be completely wrong for the job.

Welcome back from the hiatus! I personally don't want to see a new thread any time soon. I would like to have a rather longer thread. But if others are itching for a special new thread title, I guess we could start thinking about it.

It's nice, but different. But for being so different, it's pretty nice. I just feel naked more than anything.

Honestly, I'm having enough of a time just getting ubuntu to work smoothly. Getting sound to work in firefox, getting an mp3 player, learning the interface and file structure, trying to figure out whether I can import/use XP data files.
And I'm pretty sure my video card sucks the big one so I'm not going to push it. I believe I have an on-board card because I don't have slot in my motherboard for a card.

Also, www.ubuntuforums.org is great for asking questions about anything and www.ubuntuguide.org is great for step by step guides for doing just about anything.
But yeah, getting mp3 and video, etc is not hard. I would advise you to download a program called Automatix. You can also use the Add/Remove programs option in the menu to install tons of programs from the databases.
Good to see you're not giving up on it though, many people that try it without assistance often give up because its so different then what they are used to.

Hey AvatarofLight: what can you tell me about Lavamancy?anything you care to share?
With lavamancy, there is just one phrase all lavamancers must remember: be in touch with the lava. That way, it is much easier to command. Also, past thoughts can be very useful, if you know what I mean. And have a familiar with you at your side.
@nan: Easyubuntu was a fairly problem-free way of getting mp3 support, which was the most important thing to me. I did have to instlal only part of the bundle to make it stick. I still get the heebie jeebies every time I have to type something in terminal. Other than that, it's pretty easy to use. I'm still having trouble getting a shortcut to work. I can't seem to make one. :/
@rodimus: I've been on a lot, but there are times I go for a stretch without posting. I was only jokingly implying that you were trolling. I don't really think that. Also, I've never heard the term sparkle and I've played since Unlimited.
@Madster: Ubuntu is a linux-based OS that's free, open source, and easy (easier) to use.
