I didn't know you were in Green Bay... have you ever been to Misty Mountain Games in Madison, for PTQ's or something? I haven't been down a lot lately (especially with this surgery...), but I'm going down July 19th for PTQ Berlin. Niv will most likely be there too, triple-Izzet meeting? Sweet!
No, I've never been there. I have stopped into Pegasus Games in Madison once, though...got myself a couple of Firemane Angels.
BTW, no-one seems to remember where the Blood Crypts went.
Was very AFK for the new thread going up - gone all weekend. Though I did leave my browser open I believe, so I think it probably looked like I was lurking all weekend.
But my choices here in Green Bay are limited to white, white, and white, so I guess I'll take what I can get.
You forgot white.
I wouldn't say race is the biggest thing to me but I definitely prefer white guys. Other races are interesting in a "variety is the spice of life" sort of way but I guess that's as far as it goes for me.
And no, I'm not a woman.
Ohh man, As a Citizen of Canada, I must agree. My girlfriend is SO Canadian, and SO hot.
I've always wanted to date a Canadian, but now I don't really live close enough anymore. Don't ask me why. Something about the unassuming and handsome nature of some Canadians.
Canadian people are dope. At work, when I talk to Americans, they usually lighten up and are really stoked when they find out that I'm Canadian. (I think it's my Saskatchewan accent)
I got another warning for the first time in a while...I don't really regret it, but I probably should. I think that makes me either stupid or an *******.
Girls are impossible.
Interpret that any way you wish.
No, I've never been there. I have stopped into Pegasus Games in Madison once, though...got myself a couple of Firemane Angels.
BTW, no-one seems to remember where the Blood Crypts went.
That's fine with the Crypts. It's the Mires I'm excited about...
You've been to Pegasus but not Misty Mountain? Interesting... Is there a premiere event location up near Green Bay? Or do you just not go to such events as PTQ's and GPT's?

Actually, I found out he does have the shiny one. Getting that is going to be a little difficult, though.
Yeah, Pegasus is close to my aunt's house, so I stopped by really quick one day to see what they had. And no, I don't think there's a premiere event location up here, but I could be mistaken; I don't play anymore, and thus don't go to PTQ's or anything. I usually go to the release tournaments, though...just for socializing and stuff. And I usually end up getting fourth or something, so that's a bonus. I guess I'm naturally good at limited.
And waymc, you really confused me at first: ("Wait, waymc's a woman?"). Just saying.
Oh, cool. Well, if you can get down to the PTQ on the 29th of July, I could supply you with a block deck, and we could all three get together there. But otherwise, cool on the shined-up Crypt. If you can get me that, I'll be stoked, and I'd have to get you some... thing... I don't know. We'll talk about that if/when that time is called upon.
As of now, I'm watching the Magic Show's memorial to PolarBearGod. Sad stuff.

It's maro's weekly article every monday on wizards.com (not wotc.com :p)
And the article I'm looking forward to is the one this thursday where they try to explain what the recent restrictions in vintage were about.
Actually, it's the Magic-specific site, if you want to get into that...
Yeah, that Vintage restriction article should be good. I want to know how they justify these... they've already kinda gone over it, but... it doesn't mesh well...
Gay. It never really came up before I suppose. (Though I think AI did wonder about it at one point recently)
Hmm. I honestly thought it was one of those "Hah! You don't know!"-jokes... my uncle is gay, although he doesn't think we know (how the **** could we not, he's... pretty open... :uhh:), and whenever he's talking about a cute guy he met or some ****, and I walk into the room, he starts bellowing "Oh, and she had the most luscious boobies!" ... and then it gets R-rated...
Heh, and he's got some of the best dirty jokes you'll ever hear...
Gay. It never really came up before I suppose. (Though I think AI did wonder about it at one point recently)
Really? As far as I remember, I only started wondering after you talked about liking men.
People don't sound gay over the Interwebs.
The reason I say that is because in my psych class we were talking about physical and mental differences between gay and straight men. Apparently there is virtually no research done in the field of lesbians vs. women because they aren't many differences anatomically between them, but the brains of gay men are strikingly different from those of straight men. We watched a 60 Minutes clip in class where Leslie Stahl watched prerecorded videos of men sitting in a chair and talking to an interviewer, and she was saying things like "He doesn't seem gay...but that guy's definitely gay."
(I am going into psych research.)
EDIT: I am randomly editing this post so I have a source from which to use a sig pic.

Haha...maybe he did. I don't know, some men are quite developed in that way.
I have researched my share of psychology as well. Not because I want to be a psychologist (unlike you and BD, apparently), but because I have always had an affinity for mental powers (intellect as well as... interaction), and I enjoy a good mental-sparring match--some might call it "manipulation" or some such, pah. I shouldn't have said it quite like that, as it probably makes me sound like a douche(waffle?), but that's alright. I never made the claim that I'm not an evil person.
I can honestly say, however, I've never studied gays. Not that I wouldn't like to study lesbians...
However I personally don't care for psychology as a discipline. I think it gets me that it's just a pseudo-science, as opposed to an actual science.

I expected such a response. I had this debate with bloodydoves back in the day. No it isn't. But I can respect your ("self-inflicting") opinion enough to drop it.

Psychology is scientific in its approach, however, unlike true sciences, it is purely experimental and has no true laws. Psychology differs greatly from person-to-person, from opinion-to-opinion. This accredits it to the status of pseudo-science. Even BD agrees with this, so if you still have contact with him, I suggest you war it out with him (hell, if I can get AIM going soon enough, I might just join you in a three-way [eww] IM session.).
Led Zeppelin, now... and she's buying a stairwell to... heaven...
Edit: I've got AIM up and running... at least temporarily, so... talks when you want (AI and Weaver, as well as anyone else who has AIM... I can't get my Messenger to work).
I've heard psychology referred to as a "Soft Science," and that's all I'll say about it.
Now as for regionals, I could give a small tourney report, but it isn't really necessary. The gist of the story is, I forgot how to mulligan and kept some (seven card) hands that should have been easy to send back. If you want to know what deck I played, it was an updated version of the one I came in 6th place with at this tournament. (90 Dollars worth of Garruks was my prize.) Oh, I went 3-3-Drop.
I intend to look back and see who hasn't posted in forever. How long should we give them?
Also, there was a suggestion to put some of our information in the first post. I'd like to visit it again, but what info should we include?

I don't know... name, hobbies, etc? I don't think we need profiles.
However, I would enjoy being able to read the first post, if you could get the black text out of there and set it to the forum default, if it isn't too much trouble. The dark forum-skin doesn't seem to have been considered when the staff went all gung-ho about invisitext.
I'll check out your decklist, there, if you don't mind. What all did you play against/see?
Edit: My AIM just ****ing died. I'll try again tomorrow, or perhaps later tonight... for now, I eat!
Well round 1 was a loss to a G/W aggro deck (Bad draws), round 2 was a win against some B/R Aggro deck, round 3 I won against Doran (even mulling to 5 in game 3 and getting my lotus bloom riftswept), round 4 I smashed Merfolk, round 5 I lost to ELVES! (Bad keep), round 6 I lost to Elf Grenade (More bad keeps).
I did my best to fix up the first post. Does it work now?

The first post works great now... at least for me...
Here's who I would put up for purgery:
urzastoiletseatofdoom
Hoodoo (shame, I liked that kid)
Darkon
DarknessFalls (another shame, but she hasn't been around...)
But that's about it. I'll be off again soon to sleep, I just wanted to see if there is any artwork of Skellum out there... for those that don't know, he was Chainer's mentor, and one of my favourite Magic characters.
My name is Skellum, and I wear a silly hat...

Tiki_man: I just pulled some decent duals today, i could still use:

Super cool name as well, definately brings up the imagery of the Firemind popping uppers with the Wee Dragonauts!

I didn't know wamyc was gay... or was that a joke... either way, bravo, you've successfully confused me. :eyebrow::thumbsup:

Right. I can see how the line was confusing - but if it hadn't been there I garuntee you someone would have said - "I didn't know you were a woman."
