Ilvaldi's real name is Charles
Ilvaldi is 19 years old (as of today).
Ilvaldi is male.
Ilvaldi is just over 5'6" tall.
Ilvaldi has lived in Maryland his whole life and may plan on living somewhere else some day.
Ilvaldi is in his first week of his second year at college.
Ilvaldi is currently majoring in Philosophy and is planning on adding a second major, possibly Computer Science, Sociology, Government and Politics, or English.
Ilvaldi works without pay.
Ilvaldi's favorite band is definitely the Dave Matthews Band.
Ilvaldi used to drink sodas but has, for almost over a year now, been drinking only water.
Ilvaldi can eat almost anything. What he wants to/ought to eat is still under debate in his own little world of moral philosophy.
Ilvaldi likes to maintain good hygiene but is not so OCD about it.
Ilvaldi has a permanently damaged toe from a TV he tried to lift and throw at his younger sister when he was five, a permanent scar on his right eye from a butcher knife incident, a permanent scar on his thumb from another butcher knife incident, a permanent scar on his elbow from crashing into two cars on his bike, and has had surgery done on the roof of his mouth because he apparently has narwhal syndrome.
Ilvaldi is currently single, has neither ever dated a woman before or even had a relationship with a female being outside of his family circle beyond the level of mere acquaintance. Thus, women tend to be one of his greatest weaknesses.
Ilvaldi is known by his restaurant customers to have an impressive memory as he can recall not only their names, their orders, their addresses, and their phone numbers, but also their credit card numbers.
Ilvaldi, as of his birthday, now has almost 20 copies of Wrath of Gods with 4 of them being the textless DCI promo and two of them stemming from Unlimited and Fourth edition.
Ilvaldi has been playing Magic since the release of Fifth Dawn and is very, very, VERY excited that Magic will soon be returning to his home plane Mirrodin.
Ilvaldi played Magic competitively starting at the 2006 regionals with a R/W anti-agro deck that pretty much made Zoo deck players in his area realize that White had then became the new color for removal (Rumbling Slum players learned the hard way what Reciprocate was). Proud to admit that all his matchups against Zoo ended with himself over 20 life. Ashamed to admit that he completely forgot about control and didn’t manage to build his deck appropriately against it to win Regionals. Has not played competitively for a while now due to financial and temporal restrictions as well as personal/ethical aspirations.
Ilvaldi has top 8'ed at a big event as well as finaled. He, unfortunately, however, never won an event.
Ilvaldi's favorite colors to play are Red, White, and Blue. **** yeah.
Ilvaldi's favorite colors based on flavor are Green, White, and Black.
Ilvaldi considers himself, after thinking over this for plus 4 years, to be White/Blue with sympathetic leanings towards Green (though it does not mean I actually believe in Green ideals).
Ilvaldi plays limited, cube, and casual. As an interesting sidenote, Ilvaldi has played a variant of Planechase for 4 years, before the development of Planechase, when his friends came up with an idea strikingly similar to it. Ilvaldi also had a question that was presented as the question-of-the-day on the official Magic the Gathering website back when they still ran those question-of-the-days (See February 2, 2006).
I don't see why people are hating on the bios. They don't do anything but they are fun to read. Nobody is making anyone do them.
I'm mostly lazy and don't care to type that much redundancy.
To be honest, I think if the older members of the Izzet got together and compiled information, they might be able to write up one of those for me, and it might just be accurate.

[Imagine scantily-clad women in a leud embrace,
one stretched out and victim to a chokehold of the other,
both with big stupid grins spreading across their faces.]
Sorry guys, but I meant to post my bio yesterday. You see, in the case that something really silly and stupid happens with my computer, I type most of my posts on a Word document which is saved onto a portable hard drive, so that I wouldn't have to be disappointed when I find out that the internet/my computer hates me.
As of this month, I have a 30-page paper due on September 15th about my study abroad trip in London (Great to hear Niv that you're living in London btw!), a 5 page paper due on the 25th of September, a short story that I owe to someone due some time soon around this month (the deadline is at least pretty vague thankfully), two carrier Pidgeys with Pokerus to some members on the forum, and the first chapter of my book due by the end of September.
Yeah, pretty hectic. It's kind of so hectic that I forgot to let you all know that my birthday was September 2, not September 3 (which is today).
Ironically enough, I hate eating eggs. I have learned to loathe them even more with my new job where they are damn near impossible to get off the plates in one rinse cycle so I have to scrub the plates clean. My mother usually sells the extra eggs to our friends and neighbors for $4.00 a dozen since they are organic chicken eggs.
I would hate eggs too if I had to raise 100 chickens and take care of their nasty, filthy, smelly eggs.
I'm mostly lazy and don't care to type that much redundancy.
To be honest, I think if the older members of the Izzet got together and compiled information, they might be able to write up one of those for me, and it might just be accurate.
I got off work early tonight because I was falling asleep on my feet and operating the dish washing machine while half-dead seemed like a poor choice.
I've never been that tired while at work, though I also sleep more on average, and so don't really have that kind of problem so much as I get groggy and irritable when I get less than 7 hours of sleep for more than a night or two.
I've been missing for a while haven't I? Apparently i was supposed to be portalled yesterday, but my 1337 time travelling skills are being put to good use. Either that, or i live in a different time zone
So, why the absence? Basically, no more MTG for me, and my internet is being comsumed by the son of satan, DOTA. i can't help it, it's addictive!

And I am most curious about the pet chicken! I absolutely adore the small yellow and round ones. They are so cute! I wonder if you have any of those at the moment and/or if you could paste a photo of them (yeah, it's a "choose one or two" spell I guess).
I used to have a cat at home a while ago, but no pets now... Though I plan to get a mouse or a lizard, not sure yet.
Buff Orpingtons? I used to have two but sadly one was taken by a fox along with the other four chickens in my flock at the time and the second one died of a broken heart I suppose.
Actually, I do have just the picture. Its me with Cheap-Cheap, one of my Buff Orpingtons
Edit: So it looks like Wizards is apologizing to Red for printing BFT.

I am frothing at the mouth over Goblin Guide indeed .
The thing I hate so much about red hosers that white gets is that they are overwhelmingly and crushingly powerful. Considering Wizards doesn't like harsh hosers, it makes me quite vexed as a red player how white can get cards like BFT to curb stomp red decks into the ground.
I think Maro said that they were going to complete a rare cycle that people have been waiting for for a long time. I don't know if he said land cycle but what else could it be?
Enemy fetchlands + Goblin Guide = I'm buying a box of Zendikar for sure.
@ RukarumelFieldJournal: Have you ever been land screwed? 18 lands isn't a whole lot of land when you're playing expensive stuff like Niv-Mizzet and X spells like Fireball and Invoke the Firemind.
I am *sorta* happy cause now I get to buy a set of one each for the Cube.
But on the other hand, that means I *have* to buy a set for the Cube. And to think, I got into the cube because I thought it would be a less expensive way to play Magic. Not so, at least this year. I have sunk some serious coin into it.
It may be easier for me to just buy a box of Zen and fill in what I need because many of the cards are looking worthwhile to play in the Cube. Also, Landfall looks broken to me. I'm guessing it doesn't play as crazy as it looks since it looks pretty freakin crazy to me.
Hey I'm "trying" to construct an Izzet deck, can anyone help with this list?
Something feels missing...
They're called "Lands." Playing 18 lands in a deck with expensive stuff in it is just the calling card for inexperience. No need for that, my friend. Be patient and take out things so you can cast the good stuff you have.
In lieu of filling out a bio, I'll be answering one question from each member about myself, as long a they don't get too personal. It's a much more active way to learn about you leader methinks, and I'm far too lazy to fill that thing out in one sitting.

in that case...hmm...maybe i'll think of something after i sleep...
i went to fnm today(technically yesterday) after spending about an hour trying to find/make a reasonable deck, i ended up taking some r/g aggro warrior deck because i couldn't find my honor of the pures for my soldier deck or my cryptic commands for any of my good decks.
it wasn't a bad deck or anything, it just wasn't great, so i ended up also bringing a shell of soldiers and a cryptic/bitterblossom-less fae deck in the hopes that i could borrow some cards.
after i did all of that, i called my friend to see if he wanted to go, i picked him up and we were off.
i get to the store, walk in and realize that today we were drafting:D(i loves me a good draft) i should've probably called ahead to see what format we were playing though...
i pay the entry fee and buy a pack of m10 out of sheer boredom, and my rare was a :D:D:Dbaneslayer angel:D:D:D
so i sit down to draft, i open my first pack and staring at me was another baneslayer...i...i loved today so much:D:D:D
so i end up drafting a r/w aggro/burn deck and i took 2nd(my opponent was playing u/w and kept countering my baneslayer then beat me with fliers:-/)
so overall i had a really good day today and i'm glad i went.
and now i shall sleep.
Edit: i just remembered that i traded my cryptics for baneslayers almost a month ago, i don't know why i didn't remember this earlier...i spent a good hour looking for those dang things...:-/
also, i have 7 baneslayers now...oh well, trade stuff is good, i'm gonna see if i can't get some duels next week:D
@rakarumel, yeah brother you have to at least run 22-24 land. anything less and you'll be staring at cool cards for the better half of the game and you opponent will be smashing face.
I've found that there is a little restriction on deck pondering with the the new set in the standard forum, so I will impose it here, which is not the standard forum..........
With the coming of zendikar I've come to realize that i want to build a mono-black deck. I've wanted to due it since conflux but have had little support from wizards of the coast. after looking at the spoiler I find that I may go mono black vampire, which is just such an obvious build me ploy. but do you think it's viable??????

No, but I quite enjoy it being in every set, at least from a Limited aspect I do ;). I love drafting me some Cancels :grin3:.
