Do you think the tempo loss is too much considering this guy dies to Volcanic Fallout and Infest? Plus, trading this guy with another creature feels like a loss.

The more I think about that card, the less I like it. Wild Nacatl is so much better than it. If there's a Tilling Treefolk effect, though, the card might warrant a second look. Anything that makes Landfall better warrants a second look.
My Facebook circle of Magic-playing friends has exploded in a flurry of activity since I posted the link to Arid Mesa.
i know i'm buying a box or two, enemy fetches, full art lands, new walkers, vampires, the return of the kor, awesome goblins, and we haven't even seen half of the set yet.
in other news, i found someone who wants to buy some of my baneslayers for $35ea:xd:.

What?!!! No offense to the guy, but he's not much of a smart buyer at all. Here it only costs 4-5 dollars each! (converted from Philippine pesos, of course). And the most i sold them to a guy was at 20 dollars a set.

Baneslayer Angel is about $15, I think. You guys have a strange system set up.
Is it me or allies remind us of another tribe? Perhaps slivers?
The resemblance is quite obvious. However, like all recent tribal effects, Allies only work with permanents you control.
I just realized that my "second-before-first" idea for the fetches didn't pan out for Zendikar. (Arid Mesa puts the R word before the W word.) Oh well, it was worth a shot.
In lieu of asking a boring question: Do you think you have ever been in love, and if so, what were the circumstances?
1. Let's say... 20,000 cards. That's a rough estimate.
2. I've been infatuated with three females (I'm hesitant to call them "girls" or "women," given the age range...) in my lifetime. One rejected me, so she can go **** herself. One I went out with for six months, but it became apparent we weren't compatible, so I wouldn't call that love either. Then there's he third, whom I developed feelings for while with the second and partly broke up with the second over.
Unfortunately someone else put the moves on her before I did, and I have a rule against intervening in an active relationship, (If she's willing to leave someone for me, what's stopping her from leaving me for someone else?) so I let it go. Also during this time period I learned about some of her habits that frankly frightened me, so when their relationship ended, my better judgement kept me away.
That answer is too long. No, I've never truly been in love.
I was holding out hope extended manabases would finally play fair, but no wizards, apparently you LIKE it when an aggro deck can reliably have any color on turn one and all 5 on turn 3.
Does anyone know if Verizon charges for picture messages sent to Photobucket and other image hosting sites
As long as your plan supports text/picture messaging, then no. If yes, $0.10 a pop. Also, a Quick Upload Guide since it's clear you haven't done this before.
1. Take the picture in a resolution of 640x480 or lower. If higher, you run he risk of the file being too large to send.
2. Under the picture's options, select "To Pix Place".
3. Go to www.vzwpix.com and follow the instructions to sign up or log in.
4. Find the picture in your "Uploads" album and save it to your computer.
5. Make a post here and attach the image. No Photobucket required!

Baneslayer is the most expensive card in m10 by a country mile, and usually goes for $20-$25 around here. Either your conversion rate sucks, or people hate Baneslayer in your area.

@ Rocker05: Yes, I was indeed looking forward to a fetchland-less Extended. And it's not like it's Legacy where you have cards like Stifle and Wasteland to punish fetchlands/duals :(.
The only thing I really hate about fetchlands though is the time it takes to activate one, especially when someone is playing with 8+ of them. All that searching, shuffling, cutting, and presenting the deck really adds up over time to slow down the game.

apparently no one would sell their baneslayers to the guy, so he's willing to pay extra, i'm gonna sell him 4 tomorrow, i would like to keep a playset, but i don't think i'll ever be able to sell them for this much again.
my question for rocker: What would you do for a klondike bar?
Here's my 2 cents concerning the price of the enemy fetchlands:
The Onslaught fetchlands were printed in a set with 350 cards. Compare this to Zendikar, a 249 card set. You'll have a much greater chance of pulling a fetchland in a pack in Zendikar than you did in Onslaught.
Second, the Onslaught fetches have been out of print for nearly 7 years. It is only natural that their prices continue to increase over time. For a while, the ONS fetches were around $7-11 many years ago, but combined with Ravnica dual lands generating demand for Extended as well as going out of print for several years, they have well increased in price.
The inital demand for the enemy fetchlands is going to be really high, and that is to be expected. Just like with any other chase card that people want though, demand will eventually taper off after Zendikar has had time to settle into the format and the prices will eventually dip and stabilize.
Additionally, people want to open Zendikar. We've only seen 58 cards (20 of which are basic lands) and already we have a ton of amazing goodies people are going crazy over. Day of Judgment will be a sought after card as well as Warren Instigator (though personally, I think he's overhyped). Goblin Guide is just an amazing tool for RDW (I am in love with Goblin Guide, it is my favorite card in the set so far) and we have Sorin Markov which will be wanted by casual and competitive players alike. As long as people want to buy Zendikar and open packs, this will keep the supply of the fetchlands in good shape and help to meet the subsequent demand.
If I were to make a prediction on the prices of the fetchlands, I would put them at rougly $17-18 to start off with, and then after Zendikar has been out for a few weeks, I would not be surprised to see them dip down to the $11-13 range, and maybe even lower for some enemy fetches. Of course, the U/R and U/G fetches will be the highest in price lmao.
Conclusion: The enemy fetchlands will be expensive to start out with, but I predict a notable dip in value once they've had time to settle into the market combined with the fact that they're in print, statistically easier to get as the rare than their Onslaught counterparts, and in a set that people want to open boxes and packs for.
i don't care what anyone says i'm getting ATLEAST 2 boxes of zendikar when it comes out
also i'm doing alright in general how's everyone else?

IMO, most decklists don't actually want to run a full set of Baneslayer Angel, so cash those suckers in while this sucker is still ripe for the roasting.
Here's my 2 cents concerning the price of the enemy fetchlands:
It seems logical. One factor you may not have considered is that with decreases in set size is that there will simply be fewer options for mana-fixing because there are fewer cards in any given format. This might drive up the prices of the new fetches slightly, but probably not by a noticeable amount (unless R&D literally stops making dual lands).
i don't care what anyone says i'm getting ATLEAST 2 boxes of zendikar when it comes out
Based on my friends' calculations, you'll probably get your money back and possibly even turn a profit, especially if you preorder and get a promo Day of Judgment.
I hate saying it but the enemy fetch lands are a very smart path for wizards to go down with the idea of standard and extended in mind. extended has always been a very fast meta unless you run into a control deck that slows the game down. most of my experience has been turn 3 combo kill or turn 4 aggro kill, that is a very competitive meta. along with that anyone who truly plays extended uses fetch lands because we can all agree that budget extended is just casual in disquise. so printing a fetch land that is not a "reprint" is a sound idea for extended.
as for standard with the entire shards block pushing tri-color manabases with the M10 dual lands and enemy fetch lands you should be able to build a reliable manabase to play such things as grixis.
sadly I now have to spend hundreds of dollars on cards and piss off my wife.
On another note the number 2 ranked player in my area is a close friend, and has decided to sell me his collection for a low sum of 500.00 dollars. this would include such decks as bant, 5cc and gobs of extended and legacy goodies. foil mutavaults, reflecting pools and countless staples from as for back legends. I would have to state that it's the best collection of black cards in the state of colorado. minus the fact that we sold the 4 juzam djinn's signed by mark tedin..god i wish he would have offered this to me then
