I can't actually think of any artifact reprint. However, a Karn Artifact PW is necessary to have a non-lame artifact set. Also looking forward to FTV: Relics as I might actually pick one up at my LGS.
Counterspell! Monoblue is underpowered enough in Standard that it would only then become a Tier 2 deck
I can't believe I'm saying this, but after dominating the game for over a decade and a half, I can only see it appropriate that blue finally is no longer on the top.
Hi all, good news, my forum is back up (after being down due to me being a dumb ass). Holding an MWS tournament to celebrate, check there for more details.(/blatant advertising) And I can finally make FNM again, I'm so stoked to be able to play again. I missed three weeks due to work sucking.

If any color should be "on the top", I argue it should be blue! Don't let my allegiances sway your opinion of my argument though, first hear me out: Blue is a responsive color. Its strategies involve planning and answering opponent's strategies. If blue is winning it is because it is maintaining the upper hand, a feat which it must continue to do in order for it to actually win. If any other color is winning, it is usually because it is either eliminating your resources so you can't do anything in the first place (no fun!) or presenting huge threats that you can't answer that will kill you in seconds (no fun!) or removing you from the game with direct offense before you have a chance to fire back (no fun!).
Imagine a game of basketball. You're my opponent, and I'm playing blue, and you're trying to shoot a hoop. I'm in front of you trying to block it. You still have the chance to shoot, and if you are tricky, wise, or cunning enough you may pass my guard and score. If I'm playing any other color, in most scenarios I will just try to sock you in the face as hard as I can to impair your ability to shoot in the first place.
That is why blue should be on top!

Also, 1,000th post! Sickhouse all around.
I would be incredibly, incredibly grateful for any insight and advice you can offer me on how one can go about creating their own forum. It is something I have been wanting to do for a while!!!! Also, congrats
There was a question asked about which artifact card people would like to see reprinted. I assumed his comment was a response to that, so I replied with that statement.
we make a new thread every 1000 posts or so. this is thread number 27, you can look at the OP to see which thread each member joined in if you wish(i joined in thread #24:p)
but before we can make a new thread, Rocker05 asks us to come up with a new thread title, so we probably should start coming up with some ideas.
my suggestion:
There are few problems that [The Izzet] can't solve with explosives.
Here, actually, I'm thinking along the lines of how the Izzet have a tendency to create things just for the hell of it. See Stitch in Time, Mizzium Transreliquat, Steamcore Weird, Thunderheads, and Electrolyze. All serve as valuable examples of the Izzet's ridiculous, (often explosive), experiments.
Simic are the same way, only with business in mind over knowledge.

I have Deckbuilder's ADD.

I've heard similar analogies to the basketball one, but it really boils down to this: blue has done some good things for the game, but it also has done a lot of bad things as well -- such as fuel degenerate combos during Combo Winter, been the focal point for many griefer strategies (Stasis for example), and has dominated the game so badly that it basically rendered the other colors useless except for black, and maybe red during its peak.
I obviously like blue, but I can understand why it has taken a back seat for now. Blue has been on top for over 15 years. Even someone like me sees it's quite obvious that it's time for the other colors to make a name for themselves

i agree, blue needs to nap for a bit, just as long as it wakes up later.
so, does anyone know when AI's suspension ends? it seems like he's been gone forever.
AI's back? Awesome! Just in time for a new thread too!
Oh, hi.
I'm glad to be back, though less than thrilled with the people (aside from Rocker, who has academic obligations) who have given up on Guildpact Mafia. I'm opening the game to any friends of the Izzet or Izzet-ambivalent users who want to /replace.
Hi new people. I encourage you to make a name for yourselves, and the best way to do this is post and be unique about it. Ratoly is now known as "that one guy who likes to be called 'The Semanticore,'" which is better than "that one guy."
Nothing much has changed IRL, for those who are curious. Still trying to graduate with a psychology degree while working as a cashier, neither of which is particularly fun or easy at the moment.

Hi AI:)
It's good to see you back
the "new people" have names you know, it wouldn't kill you to learn them.

You do realize AI is the same person who spent his first couple of months as a high mage experimenting on new members. Personally I think they should count it as a blessing that he doesn't know who they are.

well, they are called "test subjects" for a reason.

It might. I can't afford to take that chance, not after what I learned about the Eldrazi...
For FNM, I'm thinking of running JVL's Standard WW list with 10 MD creatures with protection from black/red. The local meta is pretty infested with Vampires, and I wanted something with game against other aggro strategies and B and/or R control as well. Has anyone here tested this list?
