Recently, I have begun to love Paramore. However, their older stuff (before the Farro brothers quit and they became more of a pop band) is much better than their newer stuff IMO. Since they are currently not making the kind of music that I like, what other bands are there that are like old Paramore?
Yellowcard? It's been a while since I listened to old Paramore, but I think they were similar.
Quote from Paramore"s Wiki Page »
Paramore has expressed appreciation for Fall Out Boy, Hanson, Panic! at the Disco, Blink-182, Death Cab for Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, MewithoutYou, and Sunny Day Real Estate,[85] as well as Thrice and New Found Glory;[86] Hayley Williams citing her personal influences as Robert Smith of The Cure and Etta James.[87] Williams also explained that bands such as U2, "who are massive, and do whatever they want, write whatever they want and they stand for something," Jimmy Eat World, "who I don’t think ever disappoint their fans," and No Doubt, who "have done amazing things," act as a pattern for the path in which Paramore would like to take their career.[85] In 2012 Hayley contributed vocals to MewithoutYou's fifth studio album Ten Stories.

I'm not too knowledgeable with Pop Punk but (not really that similar but your probably enjoy it regardless) Four year Strong, We Were Sharks, Set Your Goals.
It is the guitarists from Copeland with Mindy White (piano/vocals) from Lydia. Mindy is good friends with Haley Williams from Paramore and naturally has begun to sound like her after years of vocal lessons. Their first EP "Line 'em up" is a sincerely great alternative album that has awesome hints of 90s goodness and reverb and relaxing guitar effects. Their first two albums have gone much more the direction of pop a la Paramore I would say. I will link a song from each album.
