It's real simple: Get over your resentment. That starts laying the groundwork to a horrible marriage. Not only that, but you are completely ignoring the fact that it's YOUR fault for being resentful. After all YOU agreed to the terms she laid out. Never resent anyone over a decision YOU made or agreed to.
Honesty, communication and compromise is key to any relationship.
If your desire is to play magic, then play it. Understand your financial limitations and go from there. If your budget only allows 1 $15 fnm a month, so be it. Play kitchen table magic if you have to. Play MTGO. Borrow a deck from someone if you have to, but when doing any of this, keep it within the confines of your responsibilities and financial obligations.
If your wife and/or child needs you, be available, whether you're in the next room or in the middle of a nut draw at a grand prix top 8.
And have better timing. Smack dab in the middle of a life changing event might work for some people, but it's obviously not a good spot to broach this subject for you guys.
Give it some time, enjoy your newborn, and once the situation settles down and you guys find your groove, sit your wife down and have an honest to goodness discussion about it. There should be no reason you can't find time to play. Funds would require you to go over your budget with her and find any compromise - a small weekly allotment, or something similar.
