With the triome cycle to be completed in New Capenna, some domain cards become more appealing, especially this because a single Triome turns this into a Mana Leak. Pretty appealing for larger cubes that can fit the triomes + is looking for more cheap counter spells.
Objectively I think Rune Snag is good enough for my cube, but it felt like a package card/ duplicate card that may mislead new drafters so I went with Condescend instead.
I could see this being good enough for cube - I;ve found the majority of my blue decks are 3 colors anyways.

I'm actively maintaining a comprehensive article to help explain to new cube players how some complex vintage level cards work in a cube environment. Vintage Cube Cards Explained
I tested this over the past year and it has been solid. Splashable counters at 2 are always strong, and its about or slightly below mana leak, which is very good imo. I play triomes but dont support domain, and its basically always counter unless they pay 2+. A big point in its favor is how even when its at its worst (counter for 1), its usually the early game, so your opponents wont have many lands, and the reduced tax is not as big a deal. Then later on its more likely to counter for more, so its becomes stronger as your opponents (and you) gain lands. Also it got and old border foil and sick flavor so its staying in my cube for the foreseeable future.
