Hellbent - As long as you have no cards in hand, permanents you control have hexproof and indestructible. 3, discard a card: Bathiel's controller draws a card. Any player may activate this ability.

A take on my favorite Rakdos keyword, Hellbent, and the most intriguing part about EDH: Rakdos Politics.
We all know stories about wishes gone wrong, and Bathiel was designed after such ideal: He provides incredible power to his master, but allowing others to disrupt the said master. Unlike most Hellbent cards, Bathiel is useful for cycling through your hand even when you don't have Hellbent, and forces opponents to make difficult decision when Bathiel starts pounding them.
Albeit strong, I actually really like this. It actually works very well with Hellbent and it's not oppressive because it's simple to deal with in most cases.
Great design; might need some minor adjustments, like a bump in mana cost, but I would play this card for sure. It looks fun because it promotes a lot of strategies ranging from politics to beatdown.

Thank you. So do you feel that the Hellbent condition is too easily achieved?

It requires a specific deck most of the time, so no, and essentially each turn you go "unhellbent" by drawing a card, and unless you play the card or discard it, you don't get hellbent. Sure there are discard outlets, but it fits thematically with the deck.
