Personally I would keep the dirsuption package but lower the curve and go more aggro-ish, since Steppe Lynx is one of the best (if not the best) landfall creature. It wouldn't be completely senseless to just take out Thrun and Whip (the latter seems a bit random) and replace them with Lynx. I know that the deck has a midrange feel to it and that Lynx might be too aggro but it's worth a try
Secondly I would bump the Knight count up to 4. He's just too good in a deck like this plus add in a few utility lands.
And last but not least. I would replace the non-legal fetchlands and replace them with Marsh Flats and Verdant Catacombs
However, you could also go a bit more ramp heavy with things like Lotus Cobra and Khalni Heart Expedition or Harrow in order to power out fatties. Maybe Rampaging Baloths or Ob Nixilis, the Fallen or Emeria Angel, though the latter two are very boltable. As it stands, the landfall portion of your deck is pretty minimal. Vinelasher is essentially Diet Tarmogoyf, which is awesome and all, but I suspect decks that can handle 4 'goyfs can probably do okay against 8ish as well.
Only concern with Rampaging Baloths is if you're still able to landfall by then, but hopefully the deck will ramp him out early and/or KotR will put in overtime rotating for fetches and stuff.
Anyone open to the idea of shoving Life from the Loam into the pile?
I'm kinda thinking Loam may have a place here...
