Trying to play off of the original Alpha cycle (Lightning Bolt, et al) but with a cost of discarding a land.
Torrential Force U
Instant
As an additional cost to cast Torrential Force, discard an island card.
Counter target spell
(I think this is pretty fair considering the cost)
Ritual of Embers R
Sorcery
As an additional cost to cast Ritual of Embers, discard a mountain card.
Add RRRR to your mana pool.
(Could be dangerous, originally had it only produce 3 red mana, but it looked so bad paired up against Dark Ritual)
Forests' Lore G
Sorcery
As an additional cost to cast Forests' Lore, discard a forest card.
Draw 2 cards
(Was 3 cards at one point, but since card drawing is often so powerful, I toned it down)
Marsh's Mists B
Sorcery
As an additional cost to cast Marsh's Mists, discard a swamp card.
Target player discards 2 cards.
(Could be 2 cards at random, but I get the sense that phrase is avoided in discard effects these days)
Sunburn W
Instant
As an additional cost to cast Sunburn, discard a plains card.
Exile target creature
(Doesn't stack up very well against Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, but those two have always been at the way top of their field. I think this would be a great limited pick)
Torrential Force is very similar to Force of Will. It's not as good for dure, but I would tone it down. Maybe counter target spell unless its controller pays or 3? That would be a very good card that would see a pretty high amount of play but it sure wouldn't break anything.
Ritual of Embers is waaaaaay too good. Yes it would suck if it only made 3 compared to Dark Rit, but that's an OP card. If it only added 3, it would be fine I think, though again very good.
Forest's Lore is off color. An effect like this is blue not green. In addition, it's probably too good. How about a Preordain for that cost?
Marsh's Mists is probably fine. Discarding has never been as good as drawing, and it's not like Mind Rot is breaking anything.
Sunburn I'm not sure about. I feel like its a bit worse then PtE but I'm not sure by how much. Maybe make it have some sort of restriction on what creature it can exile? Maybe only creature with CMC 3 or greater?
Red is too good. Comparing it to dark ritual is ridiculous, because dark ritual is ridiculous and the only reason why it still isn't banned/restricted is because black would cease to be a color in eternal if you did.
Marsh's mist can't be random at that cost. Random at that cost means "oops, I win because you randomly discarded two lands before you even get to play any."
Green doesn't feel green. I know wizards likes pushing green as the color of draw, but this feel blue. Since blue is trowback to force of will rather than ancestral recall, why not make green a throwback to green's cycle of of force of will bounty of the hunt?
Sunburn is not weaker than PtE or StP. It just fits a different kind of deck. I'd play it in my white weenie or death and taxes death, for example, since I don't want to give my opponent life or lands and I have a surplus of plains late game.

Actually, by the current pie, Forest's Lore would be red. See Wild Guess and Tormenting Voice for comparison. Lore is more restricted but maybe not one mana's worth so.
