I've been out of the custom card game — and Magic generally — for a while now, but I'm getting back into the swing of things so here are some cards from the terrible custom cube that I'll never finish.
Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand3BB
Creature — Zombie Wizard
When Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand enters the battlefield, put three 0/1 black Thrull creature tokens onto the battlefield.
Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand has indestructible as long as you control a Thrull.
5/2
Woodwraith Ravager3BG
Creature — Plant Zombie
While you’re searching your library, you may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your library.
Woodwraith Ravager enters the battlefield tapped.
You may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your graveyard.
5/4
Kala Jadu, Cartomancer3U
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard 2U, T: Look at the top three cards of your library. You may reveal two cards that share a card type from among them and put them into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
3/3
Panicked Pachyderm2GG
Creature — Elephant
Trample
Whenever Panicked Pachyderm becomes blocked by a Rat, return Panicked Pachyderm to its owner’s hand.
5/5
Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand3BB
Creature — Zombie Wizard
When Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand enters the battlefield, put three 0/1 black Thrull creature tokens onto the battlefield.
Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand has indestructible as long as you control a Thrull.
5/2
Indestructible seems rather... unimpressive. How about:
Name, Lich Lord of the Ebon HandX1BB
Legendary Creature — Human Cleric Zombie
When you play ~, put X 0/1 thrull tokens onto the battlefield.
Sacrifice a Thrull: Return ~ from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Haste, Deathtouch
3/2
Let's face it - attacking with a 5/2 indestructible is rather silly. It's a blunt tool. Once the thrulls triggered on playing him, rather than entering play, his ability could be a (more fun/broken?) reanimation effect. Making him a 3/2 haste DT makes him a plausible fighter on his own. Haste works with the reanimation, of course, but also gets that extra turn 3 oomph.
Woodwraith Ravager3BG
Creature — Plant Zombie
While you’re searching your library, you may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your library.
Woodwraith Ravager enters the battlefield tapped.
You may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your graveyard.
5/4
Sure?
Maybe instead of enters the battlefield tapped, have it be the case that when he enters the battlefield you sac a creature. This way you can lower the cost by 1-2, and his recursion isn't so degenerate?
Woodwraith Ravager1BG
Creature — Plant Zombie
While you’re searching your library, you may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your library.
You may cast Woodwraith Ravager from your graveyard.
When ~ enters the battlefield, sacrifice a creature.
5/4
Kala Jadu, Cartomancer3U
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard 2U, T: Look at the top three cards of your library. You may reveal two cards that share a card type from among them and put them into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
3/3
He's a 3/3 for 4. He's not going to see any play.
His ability is a bit... niche.
How about: Kala Jadu, Cartomancer1UU
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard 1U: Put the top two cards of you library into your graveyard. If they share a type, draw a card. If they share a color, ~ gets +2/+2 until end of turn. If they share a name, take an additional turn after this one.
2/2
Panicked Pachyderm2GG
Creature — Elephant
Trample
Whenever Panicked Pachyderm becomes blocked by a Rat, return Panicked Pachyderm to its owner’s hand.
5/5
It is to laugh. Except you're giving us a 5/5 trampler for 4 mana. Which feels like power creep. It's a joke, so in an un-set... sure. But I get the feeling this guy is both undercosted (because 5/5 for 4) and yet unplayable (because dies to removal) - an uncomfortable place to be in.
Lich Lord of the Ebon Hand 3BB
Creature — Zombie Wizard
