I'm not that poster but at zero mana there are way too many and too easy infinites for such an artifact. Lodestone Myr, Urza, Lord High Artificer, Flame Fusillade... the others largely look nice but Tunneling Vermin is way way too much both in terms of, again, infinites you can do as well as amount of text and sheer annoyingness. I love it as a concept but it's a no-go.
I think puzzle mox is fine-- yes it would enable some infinite mana combos, but 2 cards and ~5 mana is about the 'normal' price for infinite mana in modern and I dont think puzzle mox provides much better opportunities that that. A bigger issue is that there aren't really many ways to make puzzle mox playable that don't also let it generate infinite mana, and I think it would be more fun if the card had more general playability. A requirement of some kind for the untap would allow the card to be more flexible in it's design, maybe permitting it to have the ability to tap itself. On the other hand that would mean putting a lot more text on the card, and there's something very mox-like about simplicity. So maybe a card that either is a combo piece or worthless is what it deserves to be.
I think Upcycle is more dangerous, to be honest, particularly in a post-Astral-Drift world. There's a reason there's only been one card that had a cycling cost of 1 generic, and that card (ash barrens) has basic landcycling, not just cycling. To add on top of that, Sacred Excavation also snatches cards with cycle from the gy and it costs 4. Even allowing for Upcycle being more powerful because these cards seem designed directly for modern, Upcycle also has a super cheap cycle cost, which raises its value. Personally, I would narrow the condition (not just a card with cycling, but a creature with cycling maybe) and make the cycling cost colored mana.
I love Paragoyf and Tunneling Vermin. They both fit their inspiration perfectly.
Lovely cards! My only problem is that the card with a name of "Goyf" is not a Lhurgoyf, and that bothers me because we simply do not have enough goyf's in the world.

They just put one in Modern Horizons (Time Spiral part 4), which is the impetus for these.
